HSN changing item numbers on products, QVC relentless for this practice
I purchased a G by Giuliana crossbody lamb leather bag in multiple colors over the past summer and thought I would add to the collection. I looked into my profile under orders placed, and with the on-air item number that was currently being shown on air, it was nowhere to be found in my order status. Not until I typed in “crossbody” did I find it in my orders. Guess what … it was listed under a different item number that was previously used. SO…. it seems HSN AND QVC makes it a practice to change order numbers to make the customer think that perhaps it was not purchased in the past. (so they cannot find it in their order history). Called CS and received no explanation. Why two item numbers for the exact same product shown six months apart? There is a method to their madness and I think it is for the customer to think that perhaps it was not purchased in the past,….. so they will purchase it again. What other reason could there be?

New shipment, new item number. It’s part of the inventory program, not deceptive. Also, item numbers may have changed in the move to PA, but that’s just a guess.
