Debbie D, please stop yelling

Watching The List, and I just can’t. Debbie has a booming voice, but she’s yelling her words, and well as mispronouncing Cathy Kangas’ name (KONG-GAS) and Yves St Laurent as Eves Sant Lor-rant when introducing Antthony. I didn’t understand HSN’s logic in choosing her – pretty sure that Colleen did the choosing. She’s just not a fashion host. Too laid back. Just my opinion. She looks put together and wears clothes well, which isn’t always easy for 6 foot tall big boned women. But she just yells too much and it sounds frantic. I can’t watch. That’s okay. Saves me money.

I love Debbie but not as the gist of the List. Colleen was measured and related information calmly and clearly. I felt they needed a more seasoned hist nit a fairly new one. She practically screams and is very repetitive. For now I no longer watch the List. Maybe in time she’ll slow down and I surely miss her in the mornings.

I agree. I like her but she yells. My favorite hosts for beauty and all clothing and shoes are Bobbi Ray, Tina Jennings, Valerie Stup, Sarah Anderson, Michelle Yarn & Amy Morrison. I like all the rest, but they really are not my favorites for purchasing clothing they are good for cleaning products and computers and other stuff.
If the wrong person is on for selling clothing I am not interested.

I like Debbie D… but I missed the screaming show. Nicole Hickl talks so fast… I cant watch her at all. She seems like a lovely gal and is very informative but she talks so fast I feel like I cant process the details to decide to buy or not.
I agree that HSN has changed along with quality of products, ridiculous shipping fees and shipping return fees. They should be saving $$$ with their 8 hours of encore shows all night, shouldnt they?

  I know this reply is a little late, but hopefully not too late. I agree about the screeching — Nicole Hickl is the worst for this, along with laughing too long at her own jokes. Debbie is a big girl with a big voice, but I could live without having her yell at me. Enough already. Calm down and do your job!

Has anyone noticed that so many of the hosts now say “I want you to get this (insert item)??? It’s almost a command, but they all say it, including other shopping network hosts. I much prefer a calm, informative presentation, not this loud, commanding fast sell. Okay, I’m a dinosaur, but HSN has certainly changed, and not in a good way…JMHO.

I have watched Debbie many times with Collleen on the List and other presentations on her own and always enjoyed her. I was quite surprised last night with her yelling and fast talking maybe to much caffeine before the show I had to change the channel. I hope this is not the new Debbie.

  Thank you, Patty. I wasn’t trying to be mean. It was really kind of manic. Maybe nerves got her, I don’t know. It’s nice to know I wasn’t the only one who noticed it.
