Who is still shopping here? Lets have a conversation.
I have been a long time customer here as I know many of you have been. For over 15 years have I have owed $1000 a month in flexpays on my HSN Mastercard and HSN card. I have spents 10’s of thousands here. Now I owe 0 on my HSN MAstercard and My HSN will be 0 next month. No more flexpays left on my account. There is nothing to buy. So many fashion and jewelry vendors are gone as many of you have noted. I do like Marla Wynne, I find Iman’s fashions are repetitive. I love Rarities and Heidi Daus, but I own hundreds of pieces at this point (and no children to leave it too, and my nieces don’t get my Heidi jewelry style at all). I liked Heidi’s jewelry better when she did more deco in pave versus the large stones she uses now. The pandemic has meant so many of us are just at home 24/7. I do put on makeup get dressed and put on some of rarities jewelry daily, just to feel like a person. What are you all buying now? Do you find you watch HSN more or less? I check for new things daily, but hardly watch anymore.

Hi. I’m on the same page. One of my biggest disappointments is having Dimitri’s SKINN come over from Evine and did not bring along his values. I don’t buy his line any longer.
I am not a fan of HSN as I was years ago. I go back to the 1990s when it was also entertainment.
Housewives came along with the benefit of no cost.

Agreed!! I just told my hubby when all my flex-pays are done I am done. There are very little fashion choices that are even worth buying at this point. What happened!! Three years ago I was so excited to see that HSN was up with the trends and had unique great pieces to purchase.
That just isn’t so anymore. I do love Patricia Nash handbags and Samantha Brown for travel products. The shoes!! What the heck happened! Hsn used to have some very cool shoes, now I notice less and less of the brands that women want and more of these orthopedic looking garbage like what is on QVC. So tired of Fitflop and Vionic. Less and less Sam Edelman and Vince Camuto. It’s all about money people!! If HSN can buy stuff cheaper and have you noticed all that garbage that is new is marked up way more than it should be.
No longer willing to support the ugly fashion etc..Too bad because it was so good before -
I have decided that once my balance is paid off, I am done with HSN. For me, I feel a lot of their shows have gone to technology. And the mindless chatter is quite tiring. And so many of the great vendors of the past are no longer. Plus, I have enough of everything in my closets.

Hi Valerie28, so agree about the technology shows. You hardly see fashion, jewelry and shoes as we did years ago. There is nothing interesting to watch anymore.

JADiva……and to the others who thoughtfully commented……..
Couldn’t agree more.
HSN was always a ‘relief’ from the daily grind. It sometimes was just mindless TV that we all needed. With ALL the ON-LINE shopping gaining a huge volume of shoppers…….HSN LOST their base and has reversed their fortunes. Not easy to do, based on the ‘ramp up’ of site shoppers.
I miss Andrea Landeau and her fun faux fur designs, both for the home and for fashion.
MANY MANY MANY of their designers have left (gone) without any acknowledgement or fanfare.HSN has lost quality and innovative products / designs / styles.
Sad.Glad I was able to post a comment to a SUBJECT that has been in my mind for quite a while.

Hi Teeter46, is agree with you. Ow is a time we could use the old days when it was fun mindless chatter and we could shop and take our minds of other matters. Now there is just nothing fun left to watch. All the great vendors are gone. Hsn could have done well at this time of Covid if they had a better lineup of vendors and even hosts in some cases.

Hi, @jadiva! I remember your posts of the past. I feel the same as you and @sunandsee. HSN is so very different now. I’m not sure what the vision and plan are, but it seems to me that HSN has been transitioning to a much lower level for some time now — and has nearly arrived, sad to say. (And this downward spiral began long before Covid.) I like MarlaWynne, too. I also like G by Giuliana. That is IT. (I like Heidi Daus, too, but prefer to shop at Heidi’s website.) P.S. What is management thinking? I think @sunandsee has got it: Perhaps the goal is to merge two companies (QVC and HSN) into one company. I think they are aware of what they’re doing and are going to stay the course — unfortunately, for those of us who remember our better days with HSN!).

Mindy Grossman transformed HSN into an exciting series of what I would call boutiques. That’s all been lost. I miss Serious Skincare and Elysee most of all., but so many good vendors have left. I don’t understand what they’re doing. Many of their brands are offered also at QVC. If that trend continues, why bother having two channels?

Good Evening JADiva. As you know we have both been shopping a long long time with HSN. Sadly, it is not the same and I surmise nothing is today. I can go back to the late eighties/ early nineties when HSN started to go down the tubes. Back then QVC was starting and seemed to be out to impress and to become THE shopping channel. The people who owned QVC also were the ones who started HSN. Well, guess what Qurate bought the network a few years ago. And who are the people who own Qurate. The same ones who back QVC. HSN was doing very well where as QVC was going downhill. I surmise that the takeover of HSN was a hostile one so they could run it into the ground and make QVC the number one choice. But, I find I cannot purchase from either channel now. Yes, I purchase the vitamins from Andrew and yes I still purchase a few things from Jay and Chaco, but for the most part, very little. I find I spend more time in the Arcade and in Community rather than shop. There is no more fun here as it was years ago. When was the last time a program guide was mailed with your purchase???? Someone mentioned shoes. I can no longer purchase shoes because the size is way off. I now buy from other websites and guess what, I can wear my regular size. Not only that, there is free shipping also. Management has asked for our opinion through surveys, but have they listened?? Why ask when you are going to continue doing what hasn’t been working. I’m laughing at their reasoning for buying HSN again. They wanted to go up against Amazon. So far in my book they have not even given it a college try. If HSN goes by the wayside, I bet they will make the excuse that it was because of the pandemic. When in reality it was a management decision to get rid of a company that came from the depths of bankruptcy only to become the best under new ownership. Guess this management was jealous of the BEST.

Hi Oodieboom, thanks for responding to my post. Yes, we ha e both been here a long time. I found I can get better prices for Andrew Lessman vitamins from his website with free shipping. I used to buy from Jay King when I thought I wad getting great pieces for a better value. QVC I’ll never be able to compete with Amazon’s prices and free 2 day shipping on most items. I think when The CEO Mindy Grossman Left for Weight Watchers it all went down hill and the Qurate the owners do not care. It’s so sad. I used to do so much shopping when I could not sleep in the wee hours of the morning, but now they have the same show repeat from 12am-6am.

Great to hear from you JADiva. Mindy left when HSN was in the process of being sold. I do believe she resigned prior to having another position and it was only later that we learned she had gone to WW. She said she was leaving HSN in good hands and we would be happy with the outcome. I am positive she is quite upset with all the comings and goings especially with the vendors.
I recently started watching the Liquidation channel . They now carry Sajen Silver as well as a new vendor from England, LucyQ. Her line in sterling silver sells for thousands in the UK. Take a look when you get a chance. And yes, they are on 24/7. If you have Comcast, they may not carry the network. However, you can always use the computer to watch, purchase or drool. I believe this network is up and coming and for the most part their prices are reasonable even when you add their $2.99 shipping charge per item under $50. Most of their hosts are gemologists which is very surprising. They have claimed that both QVC and HSN purchase some rough and gems from them. I think it used to be the other way around with Barry Diller.
