Who is still shopping here? Lets have a conversation.
I have been a long time customer here as I know many of you have been. For over 15 years have I have owed $1000 a month in flexpays on my HSN Mastercard and HSN card. I have spents 10’s of thousands here. Now I owe 0 on my HSN MAstercard and My HSN will be 0 next month. No more flexpays left on my account. There is nothing to buy. So many fashion and jewelry vendors are gone as many of you have noted. I do like Marla Wynne, I find Iman’s fashions are repetitive. I love Rarities and Heidi Daus, but I own hundreds of pieces at this point (and no children to leave it too, and my nieces don’t get my Heidi jewelry style at all). I liked Heidi’s jewelry better when she did more deco in pave versus the large stones she uses now. The pandemic has meant so many of us are just at home 24/7. I do put on makeup get dressed and put on some of rarities jewelry daily, just to feel like a person. What are you all buying now? Do you find you watch HSN more or less? I check for new things daily, but hardly watch anymore.

I got started watching HSN because of Jay King. I’m happy he’s still here, but the prices are getting higher & higher. So I mostly buy on Clearance. I love British jewelry designer Nicky Butler. After leaving here, he went to another shopping channel. But I’m happy he started his own website. I love the great deals – no middle man. I follow him on Facebook & get discount coupons that way.
-
Hi Pinkdoll, it’s good to see you. Thanks for letting me know about Nicky’s website. I just bought a pair of earrings and two of his beautiful crosses. I got them all at great discounts and an additional 20% off the earrings and 25% off one of the crosses. The service is great too, fast delivery and no shipping charges on most items. 😊 Jay’s prices have gone up, but so has everything else on HSN and QVC. 🙃

I loved Serious Skin Care, but can no longer get it through HSN. And I find with most things, when I shop price that they are higher in price than other sources. I do still buy on occasion, but not nearly as much as I once did.
I started playing the Arcade games a couple of years ago…and finally won a prize. Then I learn from others out here on HSN Community not to hold my breath that I will ever get my prize. You have to respond to an email…that they conveniently don’t send you. And if you email them you are ignored…which I quickly found to be true.
So with the lack of items that I’m interested in, the high prices, and now the Arcade scam…yes, I believe it is a scam…I am seriously considering dropping them from my preferred shopping list.
-
I’ve never played any games on here, but just reading your words here made me very sad.
A scam? No prize? I’m sorry to hear this.
I recently ordered from Serious Skincare Direct……3 items for $18. Doesn’t even sound believable! But it’s true! HSN is not the best or most fun place to shop. Anybody can see that’s true!

I’m a little late to the party but here is my take. I don’t spend as much as I used to here and I’ve found myself ordering direct from “HSN vendors” like Lorac and getting better deals and pricing. I never watch HSN and rely totally on email alerts. At this point in time I order Korres and Andrew Lessman items. That’s if the pricing is good and free shipping. The occasional coupon I receive from HSN doesn’t really entice me to shop but makes a difference if I really need something. I’m not an impulse shopper and totally hate returning items. All this said the changes, vendors crossing over to QVC or leaving altogether has narrowed down my shopping experience. I know things change and life moves on but we don’t have to like it.

I was just about to purchase the TS Lucky Brand boots. I will not pay $5.50 for shipping I think every TS should be free shipping then it would really be special.
-
i just started shopping here since July and have found high quality clothes at much lower prices than what i pay in NY.
DG2 PANTS ARE VERY HIGH quality. bought the ponte stretch and blazer in 4 colors.
inc michael kors and others in macy’s does not compare i find the flex pay ishelpful andim happy to be purchasing from them. have bought IMAN AND SKINNY GIRL. I BOUGHT a pair of shoes and they are adorable. -
I started shopping @ HSN in the late 90’s. (The days when their sister channel “America’s Store” was still on the airways). I enjoyed the latter for deeper discounted items. Loved the pretty pieces by Victoria Weick on HSN. It was fun exploring the variety of designers in handbags and apparel with decent price points. Sharif is such an original! Must own a dozen of his purses. Later I delved into more apparel purchases and enjoyed the inventive domestics from joy Mangano.
Within the last 1-2 years I spend so much less because the prices have jumped so high and the majority of the fashion designs are far too embellished. Offer a few clothing items with this aesthetic. I scrolled through “tops” the other day and almost all have ruffles, unattractive patterns, asymmetrical styling, etc. Lets be honest, It’s time to give the cold shoulder to the cold shoulder- enough already. Marla Wynn sizing is off the charts and hides a women’s curves. I do applaud her for offering clean lines and solid neutrals which you will be hard pressed to find anywhere else on the site. Yes yes yes ladies, let’s talk about the matronly shoes. Sorry Clark’s, although the quality may be present in your shoes, the styling is inspired by what I would expect to be wearing when I am 85, non-ambulatory, and laced in Bengay. Agree with all the previous posts regarding QVC’’s undesired clothing vibe spilling into our once beloved HSN. HSN, we see your clearance prices bounce up and your regular price points as well. Did anyone catch the TS Coperfit sock set? 3 or 4 pair for nearly $40! Not long ago they offered 6 pair for under $30.
Wake up HSN you are quickly losing market share from thousands of loyal shoppers/clients. -
I’m hanging by a thread,Andrew and some beauty products is all I purchase.
I’m trying to understand these “As Is” products, are ppl sending them back and they’re
being resold ?? I can barely believe this is happening during this pandemic!!How pathetic!
Turns me off!How low can you go?-
One more thing I forgot to mention..
I find the same shoes they’re selling here for more than half off in most instances!
And free shipping..
Also, I’m so turned off by clearance prices being raised,it’s so annoying!
(Sigh)

We need to see some OTHER Vendors besides the repetitive ones. Too much of some of them..and their clothes are sometimes matronly.

Thanks so much for posting these comments. I too have spent a lot of money over the years but now I’m not. It’s all that you’ve said and I’d like to add that when I receive a package with the packing receipt all crumpled up like it came from a bargain store, I get curious. Are these people so overworked that they rush and just throw it into the bag without thinking and where is the supervision? Also, I’m not liking that some return receipts only have one choice for a carrier. I am also not liking that the return receipts no longer have a sticky side to place on the bag. Now I must tape that to the bag myself. Cutting corners are we HSN? Me too and you are it.

The other day I was thinking about the old days of HSN. Does anyone remember Tootie who would give out a toot….or all the Capadamonte figurines, the silver chains, or Marie Osmond dolls? Yes I’ve been with this company forever and probably bought too much. It has been fun but times have changed and I buy very little now. The things I have purchased are comfortable clothes, not so much for high fashion. Before slinky left I bought everthing on clearance that I could. Again for comfort and easy care. I am 70 and still put my makeup on and fix myself up each day. Pandemic or not, I want to always be a happy and cheerful person to be around. I have actually grown through this ordeal and accepted these challenges to become a better me. My son ,grandchildren, and granddaughters husband all got the covid and were extremely ill. My son was in ICU and we didn’t know if he would pull through, but he did and is slowly returning to his old self. Puts a different perspective on things and what is really important in life.

Hello and sorry to see your family has been ill. Take care

I, too, loved when Mindy Grossman brought on new and exciting vendors. True fashion and shoe designers were on and it was fun to tune in at any time of the day. Sales, coupons , free s/h, easy pays on all TS’s..those were the days. The shoes here are UGLY and the word, “fashion” is a joke. As far as I’m concerned, there is only one true designer here, Marla Wynn. I love Iman but her line has cheapened and all the others are flat. HSN has lost me as a faithful customer.
-
Hi KayKay228, yes the shoes are horrid now. I agree that they used to have some trendy shoes back when Vince Camuto was still alive, and other vendors. It’s all so dowdy and boring now and I’m 62 and saying that.

I purchase a lot of clearance items like Jay King b/c I am a huge geology person and supplements b/c of my ill health. I did buy Haus Warming items but HSN has not replenished that brand.
At any time, @jadiva you can adopt me and/or leave me all your stuff 😉
Joking aside, I buy what I can budget for. Believe me, on a fixed income, Flex Pays are very helpful. The shipping is a hindrance in some cases, but I like the free shipping days to get some wants thrown in with the needs.
It appears that HSN cleaned out the old brands for some new ones but those new brands have not really caught on. Maybe HSN needs to bring in some fresh brands with bigger personalities.
Thank you,
Dawn-
Hi undaunted, I think HSN needs the old management team back, that knew who to bring in and keep us entertained and shopping. Now it’s all a bore.

i just started to shop here in july. bought some gorgeous diane gilman ponte streach blazers and the boot cut pants. quality is fantastic. i did order about 5 items mostly tops that i returned. sadly i found out they deduct for shipping so i lost some money by returning the items.
i will be more caucious on what i order moving forward and not as many items so i don’t windup
returning them. i return them asap if i don’t like the way they look. just cleaned out alot of my old clothes and don’t want to buy things that will sit there.
i am being more selective. i basically am rebuilding my wardrobe and love what i got but don’t want to take a loss on what i return. -
I only ever watched the craft days, and when they abruptly stopped the $5 capped shipping back in March, I stopped watching and haven’t watched since. I certainly don’t miss the endless hard sell and incessant talking that has little to do with the products themselves.

I started watching HSN in the mid 1980’s and enjoyed watching and purchasing for several decades. HSN was my go to for clothes they had really good designers when Randolph Duke left that is when most of my buying stopped. I tried Iman I find her clothes cheap looking and how many jeans do I need from DG2 I think I have about 10 different colors and pairs. Tried Marla Wynn I just can’t get the sizing right and got tired of paying for returns. I do like the Curations peasant blouses I have bought in the last few years and a few of Colleen Lopez’s peasant blouses that’s about it. I have done more clothes shopping at Chico’s and Talbot’s.
As far as beauty products go SKINN prices are outrageous compared to what they were on the other network. I have bought on their website when they have a sale. Serious Skin Care I also order from their website if you sign up with your email you get an email every day with one product on an unbelievable sale.
As far as this community goes their seems to be several unstable people posting and I believe there is no one from HSN monitoring this board. Very sad when you think how active this board was before HSN took it down with no notice.
