What is Going on?
I’m just going to say it; what the heck is with HSN and QVC? I’m going through my closets and I find items I purchased years ago by the designers I really liked. They still look good and I wear them. Linea by Louis Del’Olio, Dennis Basso, Simonton, Slinky Brand and of course JOAN RIVERS! The stuff that is presented now is actually insulting to her good name. Dennis Basso has changed his style and I no longer watch him and I adored him. The “designers” now keep showing the same thing over and over again. How many pairs of denim do you need? How many LOGO tops do you need when they all look alike. And Belle by Kim ? all the same all the time. I’m saddened and disappointed by the huge change in these platforms and disappointed in the quality in the items I do receive. Then QVC gets upset when too many items are returned. There’s a reason for the returns. I doubt this will get printed but I’m just so upset because both of these stations have gone way downhill. And then getting rid of the hosts we’ve followed for years? When Pat and Jane go, I’m gone not that anyone would care. But how I wish the shows were like they were before the merger.

I rarely watch anymore. You all have stated it well. Over time I have all I need. The offerings are expensive, cannot compete with the quality that was once presented. Sizing is off or not uniform. And design not to my liking. Both HSN and QVC have taken a tumble. Perhaps QVC more so with chattering hosts and little or no public communication experience.

I am wondering if some of the expense is due to the tariffs since most either are manufactured in China or elsewhere. And to make the cost seem reasonable they let the quality go downhill. This also carries into the price and quality in supermarkets and vehicles manufactured overseas.

What is going on? Vivica Fox, Christie Brinkley and Jacklyn Smith lines are not fashion brands and the Jacklyn Smith line was a rehash of shop NBC and Evine which is now defunct. Where is the magical capsule collections like in the past?Joan Boyce was the bling,Rara Aris RIP was the taste level we remember.Halston,Randolph Duke,Avec de Filles was the fashion. Why not feature Donna Salyers for Fall. Her collection of Outerwear is next level and not showcased on QVC correctly. The shoes are now horrible-Journee is not an inspiring brand and just another cheap dropship manufacturer. Heidi Daus is no longer being utilized correctly. You let Iman go. Anthony is in a state of flux and you know that ain’t right. I remember themes and capsule collections for movie releases and holidays like Valentines Day.It was boutique-like!Now you push washed up celebs and models from yesteryear as fashionistas.Isaac Mizrahi has been booted andQVC is the Kim Gravel show!Where are the gorgeous skins grey hair models of a certain age that were elegant? Now it’s just a mishmash of stuff.SAD

I really like Dennid Basso and Susan Graver. Got some great sales. His jackets are great and so are his throws. Graver has nice tops but I buy most thing’s on sale. Love their stuff. Hate Belles stuff but to be fair I have never bought anything from her. I think LOGOs stuff is just ugly. She looks very sloppy, not a look i want.

`The clothes are very old fashion and ugly. You don’t see any of the nice things they you to sale. Christmas sales were a hot mess nothing really interesting. It took me years to get a QVC account, although I had HSN account and never missed a payment. Now finally I get QVC and highly disappointed with the items. Something has to change if they want to keep customers. I think most things are over price and not the best quality. HSN and QVC need to step up!

I’m fed up. I cannot abide 99% of the hosts Quarate employs, nor can I stand the junk offered by 90% of the vendors. The shows stink. The items are awful and there’s nothing of quality or value on either the Q or HSN very often. I buy some food off the Q and always buy Andrew Lessman… but that’s about it. I used to buy a ton – but now I just window shop.

I so agree with you that what is offered is boring. I havent purchased any clothing in probably a year. Yep, goin to the old “brick & mortar” to find more unique styles. You mentioned kim. Ick. used to enjoy her, but now, dunno, she is different. On too often selling everything now from make up to housewares. Makes me think “jack of all trades-master of none”

I have always found the clothes in the Q to be overpriced and many lines to be a bit matronly (with the exception of Isaac and Renee and Aran Knits). HSN, however, always had better prices for fashion and had lines that were stylish and lasted and lasted. Leather from Terri Lewis! Washable silk from Diane von Furstenberg! Knits from Slinky and Carolyn Strauss! I still have items from these lines that are timeless in style and have held up with washing or dry cleaning. Currently I like some of Christian siriano, and Marla Wynne, but otherwise, HSN seems to have also gone to lesser quality fast fashion that you can find at lesser prices if that’s your thing. I still like both networks for kitchen items, linens, decor, bath and body items that are quality with competitive prices. We can hope they listen and up their fashion game!

Going through my closets. I have bought so much over time that I do not need more of the same. The jeans I treasure are those that are embroidered… the rest seem to be duplicates. I need nothing and at the present prices I will not make another purchase. Actually I rarely watch. I check in to look and then move on.

I agree with all the posters. With very few exceptions, the clothing across brands has become generic. And do we really need jeans from Denim &Co., Belle, Logo, Isaac, NYDJ, Susan Graver, Martha Stewart, Jennie Garth, Women with Control, Peace Love World, and Driftwood? The only brand that distinguishes itself from that pack is Driftwood, because of the embroidery. And I can’t remember the last time I bought fashion from HSN. I assume the buyers have been told to play it safe and just keep ordering more of the same, but unless they bring on some new designers (and NOT influencers or “life style experts”) they are going to keep losing money.

the size they put on those so called models are horrible to tight to long .how tall dosent have a .thing to do with size.if some of them wear an 8 or 10 i wear a 2 when i really wear a 16.i have noticed so many sellers have left and that is why you have to have a single item on for 3 days.the prices have gone up and quality has gone down .i dont watch as much as i did because your new host are horrible.

If you’ve noticed, the “newer” hosts are younger and supposedly attracting a younger client base. It will never ever happen if you continue to try to sell those tacky, ugly, inferior clothes. As I’ve said before, and someone else reiterated, I have things in my closet from way back when they were real designers on HSN & QVC. AND they’re in great shape, they still look good, and I love them. How many pairs of jeans can you sell? They all look the same! So many other places to buy lovely clothes at a decent price. I miss the former hosts.

Hi SUZYQ260 Hi di192-HAPPY SPRING TO YOU BOTH 🌺🤗🦋… kinda have to AGREE w/what you’ve both stated-ESPEC ABOUT HIGH PRICE$ & NO VARIETY/LOWER QUALITY!!! Tho I AM GRATEFUL FOR and enJOYing 5-flexpays today (there ARE some GOOD BUYS). However, DEF NOT buying as much as I DID/WOULD HAVE in past-even WITH 5 pays BUY (2) items & you’re AT $7. s/h ALREADY-ADD$ UP REAL FAST! Buuuut… I ‘think’ I may just be seeing Quarate ‘trying’ (… MAYBE…?).
I too MISS some of the Hosts’ of yesteryear-I RARELY, if ever, ‘watch’ anymore. I REALLY enJOYed Bill Green with Connie Craig! And QVC’s Lisa Roberson (AND Mason) and Judy Kroll! Paul Deasy too, of course… -smile and sad face… And others’-too many to name. What are we to do? Time passes, things change… Sometimes for the better-sometimes not. Here’s to STAYING 🌅🪷👍POSITIVE AND HOPING🤞FOR THE BETTER! My best to you both🤗❤️

Yes. What is going on. Poor hosting. Leah W. Is never there anymore. Carolyn & Dan are gone. Prices are high. Gary Goben is great with Denim & co.. But Jane Brown looks like she doesn’t even want to be there and rushes through the item without even explaining sizing Etc. The cost of flowers has tripled and you get less. The prices are outrageous and no one qvc or hsn apologises for the high pricing. Debbie d at HSN tries to scare you into buying an item. The hosts used to be sincere about selling you something. Now they don’t care and are just trying to get rid of excess stock at hi prices.
I miss. Carolyn & Dan. Bring them back. They were the best. And they made you laugh as they were selling you something.-
I just can’t stand when Kim G. Is on. Her clothes are too expensive, now she’s doing makeup and everything else. Don’t trust buying anything from her, she’s spread too thin.

The prices for clothing is outrageous. It had to happen though because neither one of them can present a product without an “expert” hence the price increase to pay for it.
I bought a kitchen aid mixer like the recent TSV two years ago for 149$. now they claim the value is 549$. We don’t all live in New York or find these inflated prices a bargain.-
I recently purchased four pair of Iman’s jeans. I wish I had found them earlier. I got the cuffed & slim fit. DG2 are just too big in the waist & have tight knees. I like classic clothes that never go out of style. HSN & QVC seem to be on repeat all the time.

Iman…Miss her…those jeans were the best.

I feel vindicated! I thought I was just being annoying by complaining about the demise of QVC and HSN. I’m happy to know other former loyal customers feel the same. Time for them to clean house and replace the tired old brands which have become so tacky with some fresh and new “designers.” PS. What ever happened to Isaac Mizrahi? Same old same old. And I love him. I’m happy I purchased his line when he was creative and interesting.
