Very Sad
I am very sad that HSN is moving out of Florida. I have been watching HSN since 1998, shortly after my mother passed away. Although, I have spent a lot of money during these years, HSN and all the host (which I love most of them especially the hosts that have been at HSN for many years) felt like family to me. I always look forward to turning on the tv and watch HSN. Now with this awful change a lot of the hosts and models will be gone. This is very painful to me. I feel that I am losing my family, I also fear that HSN will never be the same again. I HATE THIS CHANGE, AND I BELIEVE IT WAS NOT NECESSARY. I am going to miss all my favorite hosts that are not making this terrible move. The merging of QVC and HSN was the worst thing that could have happened. It was better when they were separate, and as a shopper the prices were more competitive. I HATE THE NEW STUDIO, WATCHING IT NOW LIVE AND IT SUCKS

Colleen said tomorrow is the last day for one of the producers. Apparently, he’s going to be a plumber. I’m sure he’ll make more money, but those are the people that I feel for. Hosts will be fine, it’s the support people who will be adrift.

I’m very sad about the changes too. I tried to watch today, could tell it was in PA, and didn’t enjoy it. I will take a break and hopefully things will get better. It must get better because the revenue and profit numbers have been poor for many quarters now.
Having to move from Florida to Pennsylvania would be horrible. I laughed after reading the comment that some may want to move from FL to PA. I grew up in the Philadelphia PA area and am now live in FL. I don’t know anyone who would want to move from FL to PA.

I am not a fan of Florida and would never live there. I have been there several times and had heat stroke at Disney World. I live in Westchester County, NY, and I love it here, and it is only about 100 miles from Philadelphia. I have lived here all my life. Our winters are getting milder, but we do have the four seasons – thankfully! Living with that kind of Florida heat would kill me. Pennsylvania is a beautiful state. I think many of the hosts will love it.
-
I use to go up state a group of us by bus loads to the hudson valley resort and spa, and the nevely resort and spa now to be demolished and Albany. I love it up state it is beautiful plus it’s cheaper then down here on Long Island.

I was born and raised in GA right near the FL line close to Tallahassee….. It feels like a sauna outside right now! I do love it here but given the chance, I would also love to live in the West Chester area Having a vivid fall would be the best 🍂! I have been to Pennsylvania and you’re right, it’s beautiful 😍 So I can see how some would be excited! I can also see how some wouldn’t want to leave FL🤷♀️ Sometimes you just want to stay where you have roots. But, I’m sort of jealous of the new adventure of the ones that went!😊

Jazzy333, that was so lovely and thoughtful. Thank you for sharing your positivity. Mitzimom, I get what you’re saying. The in studio guest and host in PA was okay, but the guest from home and host in FL was awkward. Also, when Suzanne was in PA studio and guest was in FL for electronics show, the talking over each other/audio delays were difficult. Perhaps things will iron out when this is less of transition/hybrid back and forth FL and PA. It doesn’t matter where they broadcast -if- HSN keeps it’s own feel and identity, although we will certainly all miss our long time hosts. Here’s to making new connections and new memories in this wonderful HSN community!

Well said CAT911! ☺️

I’m sad too about the move and some hosts not going. I’m concerned for the ones who are going how the famies are taking it? What about the models? I doubt they have an option.
-
It’s entirely possible that they’re excited and enthusiastic about the new adventure. Maybe they didn’t like Florida and are happy to move.

I remember watching in the 90’s when I had little ones and was up in the middle of the night. It was comforting to me somehow, just knowing someone else was up with me. I will miss HSN as it was.

I think a lot of people started watching when QVC and HSN were live in the wee hours. Now, both channels show reruns and haven’t been live overnight for years.

I remember years ago when Bill Green was a host and flew to Texas with an entourage of models, one or two hosts, and merchandise to sell while a hurricane hit Tampa and St. Pete pretty hard. Today, it’s no different. The expense of living in Florida has been dramatic. Within a couple of years Florida has been hit with Category 4 and 5 hurricanes. Last year we saw Helene and Milton back to back within a week. In our case we had a tornado that hit our community pretty hard. Luckily, we were fortunate to find people willing to travel to reconstruct roofs and homes. But, the cost far out weighs remaining here. Insurance companies have picked up stakes and left us to find other means. I, for one, would love nothing better than to have HSN remain here. But then you need to figure in the cost to repair the structures, flying to PA to do the show, finding insurance companies that are with you, being told to evacuate, etc.. And speaking of evacuating, it isn’t easy when you have pets and children to consider. I wonder how many of the show hosts lost their homes, their belongings, etc. last September and October. No, things are not easy when you live in Florida.

Don’t be sad Sashara! Change is hard but I bet if you give it a chance you WILL be able to enjoy HSN again! Sometimes new hosts are annoying just because we aren’t used to them, plus they are new and haven’t “perfected” their individual styles yet. I notice with many of the new hosts the more I watch them the more I like them. This doesn’t happen with all of them but quite a few. It sometimes does feel like they are family or friends because you always see their faces and they do present like they are talking directly to us. I have been an AVID fan or HSN for more then 25 yrs. but I do switch to QVC when products are on that I am not interested in and I have found I enjoy many of the hosts and the products they air. I still shop 90% on HSN, once in awhile at QVC. Many of the HSN hosts will still be on so hopefully you can still watch some of your fav hosts. My mom passed in 1983 I was only 18 yrs old and I know it doesn’t ever really get any easier to accept, but try new things and try to embrace change, she wouldn’t want you to be sad!

Thank you for your words of encouragement.

Sorry if I offended anyone with my comments earlier about the difference from Pennsylvania to Florida I watched the Korres show this morning. With Sarah The rep for Korres was in the studio as she lives in Pennsylvania. She is now on and looks like she is doing it from her home and the difference in the way, she’s talking she seems more comfortable than she did this morning whether it’s the host I am not sure hope things get better when more hosts get up there you can see the difference from the Pennsylvania studio to HSN studio whether it’s technical I’m not sure an FYI, this is just my opinion

Apology accepted. Pennsylvania and QVC are situated in a gorgeous area…and has all sorts of beyond beautiful places all over the State..to explore. Get what you mean, however, I loved the “Florida vibe” and the fun n’ games…and It’s Fun Here” atmosphere it had. I will miss some of the hosts…but it is what it is..I guess.

QVC bought HSN in 2017. I think all this hand-wringing and weeping is way out of control. If QVC hadn’t made the announcement, I doubt anyone would have noticed the change in production facilities. It’s not like HSN was broadcasting from the beach.
-
This is more than sad! The way I see it is that the two of the companies are becoming one ! I have noticed little things on HSN where also the QVC name is there ! Why not just come out and say they are merging if that is the case!

Something seems off with the new shows in Pennsylvania I am watching the Kiorres show right now. I don’t know if it’s the background or something doesn’t feel right. It doesn’t have the Florida vibe. I wish they had not moved or merged. I agree with the above comment it’s not the same. Hopefully it will get better but as of now it just seems off I feel for the hosts that are moving in case it doesn’t work out if Hsn goes away a risk moving
