Very poor audio lately

Has anyone else noticed how poor the audio is lately on a lot of the presentations? The presenters often fade in and out, their voice is muffled, and sometimes the volume goes from loud to soft when they’re speaking. I work from home and enjoy listening to these channels in the background but lately it’s been annoying and I’ve changed channels.

I am having the same problem. Not only with HSN, but other channels as well. You might want to contact your cable provider.

I’ve noticed that on regular channels the ads are super loud. I started to mute them as soon as they start. It’s very annoying.

I believe the poor sound quality can be attributed to the fact that most guests are now doing their presentations remotely from their own homes or offices and not actually in the HSN studio in Florida with the host. This all started when the pandemic hit as a way to continue to do their presentations live without having to travel and be there in person. I’ve noticed that on both HSN and QVC they have continued with this most likely due to the expense and hassle of travel.. Many are on a WIFI connection with their own respective WIFI provider, and like a cell phone the connection isn’t always consistent. The sound can fade out and in and once in awhile the picture will freeze and connection will be lost. All this aside, In general the picture and sound quality for HSN even in the studio is poor when compared with that of QVC. I don’t understand why HSN does not try to improve this. I find many of HSN’s presentations are super annoying because of this.
