UPS Sure Post
Sure post means, sure your parcel will be delayed. What kind of service is this? Does HSN get a discount for sending packages pony express? Another reason why I have decreased my purchases. It sits in “packaging” status for days and once the package starts moving, it sits again in “transferred to post office” status. My delivery date has been changed from July 17th to July 22nd. And now I have the option to write a review on my order…I would if I had it!

I’ve been shopping at Amazon lately great deals find everything I need FREE SHIPPING N NEXT DAY DELIVERY It’s a WIN WIN FOR. ME I agree HSN, holds the orders way to long.

Yes I agree. I’m an Amazon Prime member and love their service. As of late most items, I actually get within 24hrs and I love the fact that I can have them leave my package at Whole Foods in one of the Amazon lockers if I’m not going to be at home. Totally convenient.

I am waiting for a delivery today, 7/20, It was shipped on the 10th and has been in a northern IL post office for 5 days! Poor service from the US postal service! I might add, it takes 7-8 hours to drive from Piney Flats to my home. I realize there are stops that have to be made but 10 days worth???

This has been a pet peeve of mine for years with HSN and QVC. I even called and asked both companies to only send my packages UPS. I was told they had no control over whether your packages were shipped UPS or by the Post Office. Amazon is much cheaper with the free S&H and a whole lot quicker. My personal feeling is they make a larger profit on items shipped through the Post Office, even though the customer is being charged the S&H.

I prefer UPS SurePost. I live in a condo where multiple units share a common entry door. The USPS carriers have access to get inside that door so they can leave packages inside the lobby area. UPS drivers do not have access so they just leave packages outside the door where it’s fair game for porch pirates.
I signed up for the UPS option to have my deliveries sent to a UPS store where I can go pick it up myself, but with most deliveries I’ll get a notice from UPS that they can’t deliver it to the UPS store due to restrictions so they end up delivering it directly to my home address anyway.

I guess i’m one of the few who likes UPS Surepost. I have had no problems (“knock on wood”). I also like the e-mails notifying me of the delivery and where they left the item. There have been times when I needed to change the dropoff date without any fuss. or questions.

You’re welcome @skingirl13, I hope my suggestions helped some, I know how frustrating it can be at times 🤗

Idk if you have it a UPS account, but you can sign up for one for free and then choose to “upgrade” your SurePost package to stay with UPS (meaning it will switch to UPS ground delivery), therefore, it will not transfer over to USPS (which tacks on an additional day b/c it has to transfer from UPS to the USPS), you can also track your package, etc. through UPS. To avoid the upgrade fee, you can sign up for a premium account (I believe it’s $35/$40 per yr) through UPS and all your packages that are marked SurePost will automatically upgrade to Ground Shipping free of charge.
The one shipping option that I hate is the lightweight postage option called “UPS Mail Innovations” that is the one that is slow as molasses & will have your packages delayed for days, even weeks. Too many of my packages have been lost through this way. What this “service” is, is when UPS takes those packages to lockers stations, not real depots, so they’re not picked up daily, sometimes they sit at a locker station for days on end. Once they finally make it to your city, it then has to switch over to USPS which can take more days 😬🙄
