The First Annual HSN Pumpkin Party🎃
I was spending a nice quiet Sunday Afternoon trying on my Halloween Costume, when…
-
Where The Crow Flys dropped by to tell me Fred was in trouble again. So…
-
I flew on over to the deep Wood where we used to live. There’s not much left anymore, what with all the storms, fires, floods, and the dreaded Plague.
-
There is one guy left, he’s been self isolating.
And he has a really mean cat. But more about that later.
-
It seems Fred did quite well for himself last Halloween, and squirreled away a lot of loot. When he heard things were going well in the Wood he went into Town and bought supplies and everything he needed.
He went right to work building his own Tree House.
Such as it is, or was…
-
The goblins in the Wood are not letting me edit, but I persevere. Here’s Fred’s House, or it was Fred’s House.
-
Remember the Mean Cat? Well he decided to total Fred’s brand new Tree House.
Now poor little Fred is up a Tree and is too scared to come down.
-
Fred misses all of his old friends. Like Deek.
And Weewee.
And Mouse.
And BASSETBABE.
And Sweet Nettea.
-
So, I told Fred not to worry, that there were still friends in the Wood. Like Raccoon.
And the Red Fox, who just loves his pumpkin but carved it in to a Sports Car, just for Fred.
The Red Fox is good friends with Rabbit. A very sweet lady.
Rabbit is as soft as a velvet pumpkin.
-
Well, that seemed to do it for Fred, he gathered up his nuts…
And we headed over to the Pumpkin Patch deep inside the Wood.
One of our old neighbors, the Grumpy Dog, showed up. Fred was taken aback at first. But then I told him, remember every story has two sides.
It seems that Grumpy Dog made short work of that Mean Cat.
-
Then everyone got together and helped Fred build a new house in the Pumpkin Patch.
And we carved lots of pumpkins to brighten the place up a bit.
And hey! Who’s that?
A new friend in the neighborhood. Meet Moose. He showed up on Friday and likes Turnips & Pumpkins.
-
Fred is happy again, and on his way to Town to find some new goodies.
Don’t forget to carve your pumpkins & wash your hands.🎃🎃🎃

Fred’s been working real hard.
-
Hey Fred, what happened to the fifth little piggy?
He went home? And he was crying? Well, you can’t please everyone all the time Fred. 🎃
-
-
A few new friends showed up for the Pumpkin Party.
Otter than that it’s been a quiet day. 🎃
-
How POOKALICIOUS!!!! Hi ya Fred! Was just flying by and saw your pumpkin party. Sorry that mean cat destroyed your beautiful home but glad to know you made it down the tree O.K. Stop by my house as I have lots of treats to give you!!!!
-
He sees you Deek! He’s on his way over.
I’ll send a few pumpkins with him, he’s so excited he can’t control himself.
🎃🧡🎃🧡🎃🧡
-
-
Awesome!
-
Thanks PATTYF, glad you are enjoying the Pumpkin Party.🎃🎃🎃
-
-
Fred really knows how to throw a party, there are folks coming from all over now. There’s even Bears in the Wood.
Our Grumpy Neighbor is all tuckered out from keeping his eye on that mean old cat.
So he sent in his Nephew to keep an eye on the Pumpkin Patch and Fred’s house too.
-
Here come some more.
This guy is definitely from out of town.
Hey, that kind of looks like Deek’s cat. I hope she didn’t fall out of Deek’s balloon. Don’t worry Deek, we’ll take good care of her.🧡🎃🧡 -
What are our new friends’ names?
-
I am far too old to remember all of these names anymore, I have fried my brain on Melatonin. Pookie’s Cat is lucky I remember his name. The two of us have been locked up in Covid County since March. We’re both getting a little goofy.🎃🎈🎃
-
-
I sent Fred out to get some food for the party.
And he comes back with a Bagel. A Bagel? Really Fred? And only half a Bagel? Who ate the other half? You did, didn’t you? Fred, you’ve got to do better than this.-
Fred came through, he went over to the Friendly Farmers Farm House, and brought back a load of good food.
Apples, lots of apples, and Nuts, lots of nuts, and Veggies, lots of veggies. And a boatload of Turnips so the Moose doesn’t eat his new house. -
Fred even decided to share the goodies that Deek gave him.
🎃🧡🎃
-
I LOVE caramel and candied apples.
-
Take some home with you. 🎃🎃🎃
-
I’m going to join Fred for a bagel! Yum! I bet he squirrelled away the other half and issue hiding the cream cheese, lox and capers.
-
Here you go Velvet.
Enjoy. 🎃🧡🎃
-
-
Loving these pictures Pookie!!!
-
Thanks Melch, just trying to have a little fun like we used to. 🎃🎃
-
Hey Melch, nice to see you tonight.

The Party Continues.🎃
Awww this little one is overwhelmed. He doesn’t know which one to pick.
He’s going to take some home with him.
Grumpy Neighbor’s Nephew is very proud of the job he is doing.
Fred’s mind seems to be elsewhere, I hope he’s not planning on going in to Town for Friday Night. He never seems to know when he is well off.🎈🎃🎈-
These pumpkins are truly amazing! Wow! ❤
-
Thanks Velvet, I left a message for you on the Game Night Thread, I had no idea you were going through so much. I wish you nothing but the best and hope you feel better real soon.🧡🎃🧡

Fred stayed out all night playing his old Shell Game. As Night fell in the Pumpkin Patch and all the Animals began to doze off something happened. Something so terrible that it will become the stuff of Legend through the Ages to come.
The Moon and the Sky turned a blood red. The dreaded Mean Cat had conjured up all of his ghostly gang. He turned them loose on the Pumpkin Patch. They were everywhere.
-
They were mean and they were dreadful. All of the Animals ran for their lives and scattered throughout the Wood. Moose was the first to leave.
They kept coming.
They were ruthless, they were relentless.
-
They had no hearts, they had no souls. They crushed every carved pumpkin and tore out every last pumpkin still growing in the patch.
They showed no mercy. They destroyed Fred’s House. And then they were gone, as suddenly as they had arrived.
-
As the Sun rose over the Pumpkin Patch there was nothing left to be seen for miles but broken, barren, hopeless land. But what of Fred? Where is he? Will we ever see him again? 😪😪😪
-
-
After that terrible Night, Fred sought sanctuary in a Zen Buddhist Monastery.
He hasn’t spoken a word since.
