Surprise expense
I am so disappointed in HSN. I have NEVER been advised that return shipping is not provided for more expensive items. I had a very unexpected financial tragedy occur and have to send back my indoor generator. As if that isn’t bad enough already, now I have to come up with god knows how much to send it back that I don’t have. What a way to make money. No wonder HSN is worth millions. I feel betrayed as a loyal customer and will definately slow the purchasing of myself, family and friends.

I feel your pain. For some items there is no return label and we don’t know that up front. Not just big things. I wanted to return a bag once and the cost of the return was equivalent to a flex pay payment. Not especially heavy, but had to be returned to Ontario, CA from the east coast.

That happened to me several years ago with a heavy, cumbersome item. I was told it had to be returned to the supplier, and HSN weren’t going to provide a return label. I ended up keeping the item because the cost of returning it was prohibitive and I would have lost a lot of money. There was nothing said at or before the time of purchase that this was the case. I still have that item cluttering up my house and have only used it once or twice, back when I bought it, it wasn’t quite right, which is why I wanted to return it, and it was an expensive item.

Happened to me too with a phone. Shipping is far more than I would ever expect. It seems fair to expect that HSN would put something on the website for items that can not be shipped back to them but must instead be returned to the manufacturer.
