ShopHQ (Evine) in Trouble
Dimitri James (Skinn Cosmetics) and the Beekman guys left just in time. Following is a snippet of an article that appeared in today’s Star Tribune in Minnesota (ShopHQ hdqtrs): “But the company remains in the grip of a difficult turnaround, as Peterman and Invicta’s Eyal Lalo try to return it to profitability. The retailer is in third place behind QVC and HSN in the home shopping market, and reported a worse-than-expected loss of $21 million, or 31 cents a share, in the first quarter.”

So, what do you call HSN, getting rid od Show Hosts and Vendors? They may be number 2 but losing LOTS of customers because of bad business practices. QVC isn’t in the clear either. With the advent of Amazon and other on line etailers, tv shopping may be a thing of the past.

I was thinking the same today. Most of the products can be bought elsewhere and the shipping takes too long, and most companies will have free shipping over a certain amount, or on special days, Amazon is free 2 day and now 1 day shipping (where I live because we have a warehouse here now) and I am a prime customer and I buy a lot of stuff from Amazon. I really do believe home shopping networks will be a thing of the past.

I still like to see the demonstrations or how a certain item fits the models. You don’t have that with amazon. I’m also a prime member.

I still buy from HSN, but I must say the S&H charges are a bit much. I have the same issue with ShopHQ. QVC’ s costs are a little more reasonable.
I will say, ShopHQ’s C/S reps need
to be retrained. Rather rude.
Wonder if Waterford will stay with
them.-
S&H are high. Wait until you want to return something and realize you are credited for the purchase price only. You’re stuck with the price you paid for S&H when you purchased the product. So you pay for the initial S&H PLUS whatever it costs you for shipping back the product. Too costly for me. I’m shopping at Dillard’s and Macy’s from now on.

Evine is in trouble!!! My opinion…

AND CHUCK CLEMENCY……the clothes are not fashionable BUT LESS EXPENSIVE THAN QVC AND HSN!!!
QVC HAS BECOME VERY EXPENSIVE IN THE PAST YEAR. Purchasing less-
I love ShopHQ/Evine. They have the most gorgeous jewelry…Chuck Clemency, Dallas Prince, Victoria Wieck to name a few. You can also find some higher end designers such as Marc Bouwer. I have never had trouble with their customer service. With what I spend, I would think I could keep the network afloat.

Michael Valatitti(?) jewelry made in Canada and it’s a pain to have to get to
Post Office make out Declarations if you have to send anything back. Has happened twice to me and will not buy from him again.

I’ve written and complained twice. I refuse to even check their schedule any longer because I know it’s going to say,
“INVICTA”. I can’t believe they are profitable any more.-
Invicta gave ShopHQ/Evine 6 million dollars this year. Do you really think they’re going to get rid of the Invicta watches? Research it.

I bought several watches one day I didn’t receive one(invicta) the treatment I got from customer service was terrible I felt I was being accused of stealing it, they wanted a police report they wanted a declaration that I didn’t have it they called UPS they wanted me to walk through my 443 apartment building before submitting a lost item, After this I never ordered anything again. And not to mention one day I ordered a watch and it was used and was even sized to someone elses wrist size.

Shophq is getting worse all they show all the time is invicta watches skin care and fashions to where im totally sick of them. They neeed to have more of electronis and kitchen and outdoor stuf a big variey mostly electronics like hsn. I have 1 more flex payment to go and i think im done with shop hq. It is sickingto have all the time invicta watches whic r cheaply made and thats the reason they sell them so cheap. I owned some had to get rid of them at a big loss. Shophq get your head on straight . Start selling more variety such as electronics. They should change the name ro freaking invicta watch instead of shophq

Shop HQ features ISOMERS skincare for many years , I am so happy with it, I wear no foundation and people comment on my skin, just walking down the street, My best friend said the other day*Barbara, your skin glows ! I have almost no wrinkles, just pesty ones over my lip, like my mother, lol. I am 81 years old !
I am upset that Shop HQ is not doing well, the have been struggling for some time.
The Mack Kinsey Childs line is fabulous, bought quite a few pieces for my kitchen , that is the
first thing people notice when they walk in !!

I use to shop a lot on Evine but Shophq not so much. Yes too many watches! I miss Dimitri on Evine, he was fun and had great kits so you could try how to use the entire system. Most of the clothes are average but the prices are resonable. Now no one really dresses up anymore, which is sad. I think when I would take that extra step up I would usually feel better about myself. I mean pajamas and slippers when shopping??? I think all three sites need to communicate with the buyers once in a while.

I don’t watch them at all. After Dimitri and Allison Waggoner left, I left. Everything has gotten more casual. Years ago, salesladies used to wear dark dresses and hose. Then they were allowed to wear nice pants. Then jeans Friday. Now, pjs. I agree, when I dress up I feel great. However, jeans are my uniform. I do wear nice tops. I feel respect in general has declined over the years.

I agree, people hardly dress with class anymore. The lack of hose with dresses really gets me. If it’s a sundress fine, otherwise pull the outfit together. Way too much sloppy casual clothes. I really miss pretty shoes.

HSN released good hosts..Why? These shopping channels combined and that was a huge mistake, in my opinion. You used to be able to tune into different channels for different vendors, now they’re interchangeable. All around a bad idea.Ev EVINE, ShopHQ, Shop NBC …am I forgetting one?? As the name changes so does the what they offer. Their clothes stink. Very cheaply made. At one time you could count on them for higher end merchandise and jewelry. Too many watches.
They’re hosts are also not that great… Haven’t watched that channel in over a year.
I still prefer QVC to any other shopping channel. Their clothes are good quality. Good selection and the sizes in clothes are consistent. S&H charges are excessive though.
Amazon..meh! Maybe for somethings. -
Just channel surfing today 6/23/20 and saw Chuck Clemency on Shop LC. His new show is Chuck and Kathy.

I have shop with HSN, QVC, and ShopHQ, for years, and I know the shipping has gone way up, over the years, I just wait until they have free shipping on products that I want or just buy somewhere else, sorry to hear the shopping networks are in trouble

HSN is and always has been my favorite, because shipping was always quick (including returns), A lot of items and designers were not in the department stores and were quality! Now it seems that the goal is to make HSN a clone of QVC which is a mistake! Many customers will leave or slow their buying, including me.
I hope that senior leaders really rethink the moves that have been made in order to keep good profits. QVC is the most clumsy of the networks to navigate online and HSN was the top. Please use the best of each, let the ego go if one of the other stations have a better process, appearance etc. , that the old school QVC.Also please repair the new receipts from the new warehouse, because there is no piece for the customer to retain. Why would one think that this was a good move.
