Where’d the free shipping go? Noticed today almost every item, including certain beauty brands which would always have free S&H, now have a flat $5.95 fee. I’m surprised by this. I understand the cost of shipping however charging consumers this I would think have a negative impact. I know about the threshold of $75 however I dont soend $75 on average at a time. I can’t say I’m not disappointed.

If Amazon can do free shipping…. I would think that HSH should too?

I do love some of HSN’s products. That said, I have found the exact same item on Amazon at a better price. I always check now before I buy.

Has HSN walked back the new $7.99 shipping? I have noticed $3.50 and $5.50 shipping listed on items. They can walk back the shipping policy, but they can’t walk back my attitude toward HSN. The damage has been done.

I applaud the $5.95 combined shipping – that is a real deal! Unfortunately, I often buy one item at a time and I will not spend $5.95 for a minor purchase. If they had kept the single S/H cost of $3.50, made it $5.95 for up to $75 and free after that, I think most people would have been thrilled. I was planning on buying coffee pods, as I often do, but the shipping went from free to $5.95 so I will get them on Amazon instead.

I just paid off my balance in Jan 2023 It is now $0.00, and it will stay that way, after I realize the items I had in my cart had a $5.95 s&h. So be it, because I will not spend $75.00, just for free shipping. They did better when it was free s&h, because I would spend $35.00, one week, $40.00 the next week and so on .I was buying from different beauty vendors. Oh well

I am right with you. I am not ordering the TS and having to pay $5.95 when it was $3.50 or free before this mess. Their sales are down now, and they are laying people off, this is only going to make things worse for them.

HSN is definitely going to see their sales go down. I would have ordered the Perlier TS if it had been free shipping or even $3.50.

I just noticed this updated shipping and handling policy when I went to purchase Beekman 1802 that has ALWAYS had free shipping and now not only have the prices gone up on their body lotion but now 5.95 in shipping, and no I will not spend $75 to get free shipping. At first I thought it was because of the new owners as Beekman 1802 will slowly not even resemble what it used to be, but since this is an HSN policy, I feel I will not be purchasing regularly unless there is truly a free shipping day.

I was going to try a beauty item that costs $19.99. I won’t bother I am not paying $5.95 to try something that I don’t know if I like or not. It’s really a trial size. Maybe I can find it elsewhere.

HSN Sales and Marketing department think, that Charging $5.95 shipping per item or Free shipping once we hit $75.00 in 24hrs, will generate more money. Wrong!
In the way they’re right, but HSN will LOSE money, because they’re LOSING customers.
Not just new customers, but also many of us who’s been shopping for many years.Hosts been trained to make it sound like a promotion but forgetting that most People will NOT Spend $75 every single day, just to get free shipping!! Endless it’s a bigger purchase.
They were generating more sales when free shipping was an option.
Especially now, more people just like to get 1 or 2 item a day or maybe in one week.
Most of us will not pay $5.95 shipping on maybe a $20 item.In time, they’ll realize that was a terrible sale tactic. Then it’s going to be to late.
Nobody, including myself, don’t like this change.
Everything has changed with HSN.
Including but not limited to shipping time, receiving credit for Received returned items.
I had to call after 2 weeks to get my refund.With Amazon, I either get my order the same day or within two days. if I return something, I get the refund notification e-mail on the first scan.
HSN, time has changed, all of my friends, neighbors that I referred to HSN, They all stopped shopping here.

I totally agree with everything you said. I wanted to purchase something from Tweaked that was $24 then I saw something else I wanted to order from Tweaked and it was still under $75 by a few dollars. There was no way I was going to spend more just to get the free shipping, so I didn’t order anything. This will come back to bite them. I find myself not watching anymore.

I am glad I happen to read this post otherwise I would not been any wiser. Wow I am just stunned. After reading everyone’s post I immediately emptied out my cart. I have always held things I was interested in in my cart. They will continue to make money off of this new rule until the general buying public realizes there are charges on their debit/credit cards as well HSN credit card that look suspicious. When they call HSN to find out they will be told to read HSN’s new policy. Obviously, it’s all about making additional money. I also didn’t know they are no longer sending a return label. So, unless you have multiple items and check out immediately it doesn’t pay to shop with HSN in my opinion.

Anyone also notice that they changed the flexpay to match qvc? It’s full pay or 5 months! Yikes! Sometimes I just want to split it in half to make it easier. I don’t want to have a running bill.for 5 months!

I needed to return item and since HSN sent no label and for some reason my computer would not print out a return label, I took the package to the post office. They charged even more then HSN to return so I am back still trying to print a label using my paper and my ink. I think that I am about finished ordering from HSN

Sincerely try pirate ship.com . They have discounted shipping and there are no fees. I use it for my hsn returns. Equal to or cheaper than hsn shipping.

What everyone needs to know is this:
Whether an item is under $74.99 or $75 plus, whether it is on autoship and states free shipping on all future shipments, you WILL BE CHARGED THE $5.95 per item. Now, it will drop off however, it will NOT drop off for 7 days on the HSN/QVC card and UP TO 30 DAYS on your debt or other CC card.
PLEASE read the fine print. We and family members found out the hard way due to the Curtis Stone TS and the Beekman one today. Even if you cancel the order, the $5.95 charge STAYS until the bank drops it off. This is NOT how it was done in the past. WATCH your bank statements!!!

Read it again…it’s the ENTIRE PURCHASE amount PLUS s/h& tax subject to hold! So if you use your debit card the ENTIRE amount will be held against your account balance. This is insanity! I just cancelled every A/S and emptied my cart, deleted favorites list and saved items. I’m truly done with HSN after 32 years.

After reading all this i wont be buying anything more from Hsn…In fact i have several A/D all with F/S that are pushed out a few months and will not hesitate to cancel if i hear from others the card was authorized for shipping when it should have been free..
In fact i have read several post here and qvc forum on some really shady practices Hsn has been doing and in fact i had my own experience recently with not getting a refund on a item i sent back and it shows they got it in mid jan…I bet this happens a whole lot and they get away with it..I may just cancel all my A/D now and be done with them AND Qvc…They are all owned by same corp.
I actually can get a couple items directly from vendors so no loss. -
Whenever my returns are not credited once I see they have received it. I call them. It has been taken care of without a problem. Don’t know why it takes so long to credit, but you should always keep track of returns and make sure they receive it.

I think I said that (each item is going to be charged the fee no matter how many items, no matter what the total is and no matter if the vendor states it ships for free….you are STILL charged $5.95 PER item and after 7-30 days, it drops off).
If you purchase the item on Flex pay, then only the flex pay amount is held, not the entire price plus shipping.

I am so glad to see that the new S&H policy is so unpopular. I don’t like it at all and will definitely impact my shopping as in far less shopping than I normally do.
I usually just buy one item at a time so paying $5.95 S&H for one item is waaaaay too much.
And I see far less Free Shipping items. Sorry HSN–have been a fan for a long time but you won’t be seeing me until you revert to the old policy.
