Sad to see what is happening to HSN

Years ago, I was a faithful QVC watcher and then gradually, I stopped buying from them. Back in 2008, they made drastic changes where their hosts were concerned, got rid of favorites and made movie starts of others. It seemed more about them then the product, the cheap gimmicks like airing from Italy with the same old merchandise was a turnoff. Also, the the show with the fake Hollywood awards were a joke. Eventually, QVC did away with a lot of ez pays, brought on expensive but cheap clothing vendors and got rid of tried and true products. I stopped buying. Now, HSN is following in their footsteps with the same formula that got QVC in trouble. I don’t watch either channel, I get the days specials in an email, along with any deals, sales, coupons, etc. The vendors that left both channels have their own websites and I can buy from them directly, some with reduced or no shipping charges.

I unfortunately feel the exact opposite. I recently bought a Christmas Tree through HSN, but found out only “certain items bought during certain shows” are available for their extended holiday return policy. I certainly was not going to open it up and set it up to make sure everything was ok with it, don’t plan on decorating until Thanksgiving weekend. So, I made the choice to return it and get one from QVC. Whereas, anything I buy at QVC (now a sister company of theirs, as they are owned by the same corporation) during July is available for the extended holiday return policy. I have shopped at both companies for over 20 plus years, and frankly prefer QVC to HSN anymore. Especially now that all vendors seem to be able to go through either one; with the exception of special exclusive items, etc….. But for both to be owned by the same corporation and have totally different “holiday return policies” is ridiculous. I also advise anyone returning anything to anyone to always get a receipt. That protects you when these companies argue with you about the return. Once it leaves your possession into a logistics company, it’s out of your hands. See so many horror stories here and everywhere about people returning stuff that fail to get a receipt. I watch the channels all the time, but muted. And if I’m looking for something, go online and search them. I do still shop at both. Just my opinion.

I have almost STOPPED watching HSN for soo long, that I forget it’s ‘Still There’!
For insomniacs like myself, HSN was a relief, there was good TV Watching.
Not Anymore………The Products are Cheap and Cheesy.
The hosts are becoming the same. I can’t stand that OVER-USED Expression…….’LUV LUV LUV’ said with almost a breathless voice.
Like another commentor, I too am Saving a ton of money and have found other Programming that satisfies this insomniac!

I agree. QVC was always pricey and their “sales” are a joke. HSN had better pricing and great sales and clearances, but not so much anymore. HSN has become QVC. The reverse would have been better.

@catlady536 i totally concur! I had never purchased anything from HSN before Andrew Lessman came here . He was also the only reason I ever started buying at QVC , I do buy some from time to time at the QVC but HSN is by far my favorite !

I think HSN being put on the back burner by the new owners of HSN and QVC . Maybe it is not intentional but that is it seems to be working out. They (the Suits) need to rethink it all.

Just my humble opinion , NOT a divine revelation !
