Please Stop With The You Guys!!
Debbie D, please stop the repetition of “you guys”. It just doesn’t sound right when you are speaking to women. I can see once in a while but every other sentence?? I haven’t watched this host in a while and now I remember why.
-
YOU GUYS here we go again. It’s like some host cant win because of losing behind YOU GUYS!!!
-
I doubt they’re losing anything from these few ppl commenting. Colleens been saying “you guys” for yrs. And she’s doing just fine. Her stuff seems to sell out, I own some of her jackets and they’re awesome!
-
Of course they are not losing all fans or employment because they have so many fans and customers that they do satisfy that they dont have time to even think about the very few miserable GUYS they don’t satisfy!
-
-
And can I please add: Train or get rid of the model who thinks she’s on the high fashion glossy magazine circuit.
-
Are you talking about Monet? Can’t stand her. She looks like a stiff robot. I don’t like when the models are so serious to the point that they don’t even look like they’re breathing.
They should use the models that look like they’re having fun, and move around naturally.

I think they also need to stop saying the word {MAYBE } too. Dont need to keep giving me examples how to use the product.
-
The hosts have to stop saying. “bucks.” Even the classier hosts have picked up this bad habit. Please, it sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard.
-
Callie was the first host I remember hearing say that on HSN years ago (like over 10 years ago). It bothered me at first, probably because i never say 20 bucks or whatever) but I got over it. Pat Dementri on the Q was the very first one I heard say “20 dollar alert” which morphed into “20 buck alert”.

“You guys” is geogrsphically olloquial – like y’all is Southern, you guys is generally western US. If the host is not from the southern states or the western states (or the southwestern states, by default), chances are they worked there at some point. You will go nuts if they pick up some of the Philadelphia/PA colloquialisms. If you think “you guys” bothers you, some of those will make your head spin!
-
I thought it was from the Mid Atlantic/NY, NJ. We say it all the time.
-
There are youse guys, and youtz, and you guyz as well – I found that out when I was in the Air Force. So many people, so many accents and colloquialisms! I’m from CA originally and we always said “you guys” – WA State (where I live now) says it too, but with more of a Canadian accented affectation.

No she doesn’t. She fills in her sentences with things about how cute she thinks she looks, fabulosity, she’s a tall drink of water, fabulosity, you guys, you should buy everything, it’s only 20 bucks for 8 pieces (never mentioning that’s the flex pay payment for one month). But it’s fabulosity you guys.
