Please, need suggestions!!
I’ve been using HSN for 26 years, the last 6 online. Since August, 2019, I have not been able to leave any reviews, as well as when I try, the system indicates I never purchased the item, which then becomes a legal issue if there was ever a recall or other problem. At one point, it was indicated my nickname was “inappropriate” but really it was just too long. I think I was able to change my nickname, but that was all. Seems to be no resolution to my problem. Any Suggestions? Will I have to completely close my long-standing account and begin again?

I’ve experienced the same thing. For the longest time none of my truthful reviews were allowed to post. I soon realized all HSN will allow are positive listings that perpetuate future orders. After I realized that was the only way to review, I say very little. Only leave suggestions of dissatisfied. Try that and see if your reviews start showing up. It’s sad and my orders have been decreasing. I depend on honest opinions. If I can’t get that I won’t spend my hard earned money.

Clearly this is not true as I just finished reading some negative reviews on a recent TS. There is always more to the story. Did you swear in your review, or direct your comment to a individual person? Negative reviews are all over the place. Did you contact customer service to ask why your reviews weren’t being accepted?

Instead of contacting customer service by phone or e-mail, why not try writing what is occurring to the customer service mods within Community. They may be able to contact tech support to see what is going on, or at least give you advice as to what you may do to correct whatever. It’s worth a try and those mods have been with HSN for awhile.

I agree–all reviews should be considered as long as they are normal and not obscene. None of my were rude; mostly positive. Items I was disappointed in I sent back and used to just say what I didn’t like about the item. I am less concerned about leaving reviews than the message in the pop up box that tells me I never purchased that item…

@daves007 I can assure you that we allow all reviews, positive and negative. The only reviews that are removed are ones that break our Community Guidelines.

BTW–I’ve both emailed and called Customer Service about 5 times now and they either don’t know why I’m having this problem or just tell me to wait….I was hoping someone had a hint of what to do tech-wise…

This may not apply to you, but I got the same message that I hadn’t bought the item when I paid by paypal without clicking on secure checkout first. HSN told me they couldn’t do anything about it. After that, I used the secure checkout which does give the option of paypal. Another thing is that you have to wait until you’ve received the order according to their system, so even if you receive it sooner than in 5 days, which I think is the time, it won’t let you leave a review.
I have written some negative reviews that got posted and I have seen others, so it isn’t true that they only allow positive reviews.

Just commenting on my own experiences. By deciding to comment neutral or better, my reviews have all shown up. Glad to hear other negative reviews get posted. My opinion stands though. Sorry.

@kitty12lover I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with this. I spent some time looking into this for you and I found that you’re unable to see and review multiple orders because you checked out as a guest. It’s possible your browser was signed out and you didn’t realize, it can be hard to tell with auto fill features. You can only access orders in your account if you were fully signed in before checking out. Customer service can merge these orders all together at 1-800-933-2887 if you’d like, we’re unable to do it here for security reasons.

Mystery solved!! It was what Cynthia had said–I was in such a hurry, I just grabbed my deals and used PayPal!! Because I COULD. I had NOT gone first to Secure Checkout. I MUST sign on each time, then pay for my item–that way it will register to my name. Since I COULD just jump in and use PayPal, I would just do it-MY BAD!!. Since these items were purchased as a GUEST, those cannot be combined into my profile, 🙁 but it’s OK–it was all my fault!! LOL!! I so appreciate your suggestion, Sarah–you went above and beyond!! I thank ALL OF YOU for your insights that helped me!! 🙂
