kiss of cashmere
I really would like to know if Marla Wynne’s cashmere is ethically sought. The rabbits suffer tremendously if not. I love cashmere but wont purchase anymore unless it is produced ethically. There are places/stores that do this and it’s stated with the merchandise. Just something to think about. I hope Marla will consider this and I hope she will read this and let us know. If it is her sales may go up, I know I would purchase then. She said she works with one of the largest cashmere producers in the world, so it is very important to know.

Cashmere is from goats. Mohair is also from goats. Angora is from rabbits. ALL should be cruelty free and ethical but even those few that say they are – are they really? It’s very upsetting to think about.

The living conditions are awful, crammed in cages, thrown around, nicked and cut on a regular basis and I am sure much, much worse. Do you think they are treated kindly with kid gloves and loving employees at sweat shops in China? I have read also that the hair is often just pulled out. I am sure many are sick and injured . There aren’t any veterinarians tending to them, with bare minimum food and water if that. At some point they are most likely slaughtered for meat. I am sure there are plenty of videos on the internet of the treatment just like there are of many, many videos of other animals cruelly treated. It’s sickening really and people need to be aware of it.
