DEFG I am back. Had the meeting and I will be heading out in a half hour. USinng one hand to type takes forever.

I got my delivery from Cluck-U Chicken. (In Maryland) They have the best – and always large pieces!☺️ And the honey-hickory sauce is just perfect! YUM!!😋😄

What is the time frame for Trivia? People do better when there is a certain time.
The past Trivia was from 7:00 – 9:30 CST.

That. Is one of my concerns. I,m wondering if we should try a half hour of trivia and conversation after. Or an hour of trivia.

I think a mixture works well. The way it has always been people are going to pop in and out.
I want to see what the new Arcade/Games look like.

There is no cafeteria here. Food is for the patients. I am now ready to fly to the front door and put a key into the ignition. I just need someone to open the front door here with their remote. I hope someone is at the nurses station to do this.

After fighting Breast Cancer and Covid I have lost many family members including my dad.
I know how you feel. 🌹

Wish you well Sheba! I know all about nasty Covid I caught it, too! actually twice from family members. First Delta and then Omicron and I had vaccines.No more vaccine for me.
Delta was awful, I was down for at least 10 days. Omicron was just the sniffles.
Bless you for being a survivor I can’t imagine how you felt.
And, my condolences to you on the passing of your dad.I know it hurts so bad.Big hugs!

Hi pbjelly. I know what you’ve been through. Pneumonia and Covid are awful and the medication can make you feel worse. But in the long run it does help. Before you leave for the night any ideas.

This is the third time I’ve tried to post and I sign in first, but it keeps telling me to sign in.
I don’t have Covid and I hope the pneumonia is gone.
I think a shorter time would be great and just a chance to check in and see how everyone is doing. The points really can’t be used, but we could see if others like doing it.

pbjelly, I have laid out some input up above. My hope is that everyone enjoy themselves. We can make changes as we go along. My goal is to get many people interested in this thread and maybe, HSN’s Tech Unit will bring it back in the not so distant future.

Sheba, it looks like many of the new features will not present itself until next year. If that is the case, I wonder why the little change now.

Hi. I am now home and using the desktop. Oh this feels real good. I love change, but not at losing the peeps we have in the weekly Trivia. My sight has always been on continuing Trivia on a weekly basis along with the conversation that many have enjoyed. What I am not sure of is whether we should have points since there is no way to give prizes. Then do we use another thread for the game and a separate one for conversation. I think we can continue the thread for until 10 pm unless people want the additional question a half hour later. I am thinking of having the questions either at 15 minute intervals or at the half hour. We can still do questions pertaining to HSN as well as to movies, holidays, actors and actresses, etc I forgot the many categories of Trivia, but, we can make this up as we go along. I also need DEFG’s input on this as to how to do Trivia on line. I hope this helps somewhat.

I have questions & I have the answers to them, but since no one wants to email or text with each other here, how do you propose to put the Qs & As out here on this particular forum?
On my old trivia thread/topic, I would put the questions out there – maybe 5 at a time, and the people online would comment or guess on an answer – or answer the next day or when they had time. So after about 24 hours I would post the answer or if someone knew the answer right away, I’d post another question. You need to decide on a format to use here at this forum. And anyone else here that’s into trivia – please have your questions ready to post.

DEFG I am interested in your format. Would you like to give it a try next week and see how it goes? I think the thread will be able to handle both the questions and the answers.

Hi DEFG. I surmise our minds are working on the same wave length. Yes, your questions could be very helpful, since I am not near a computer, but rather, a Kindle Fire. I would like to get a feel as to how Trivia would work within Community and if it’s something everyone relishes. The conversations will still continue. I do have a feeling that after the first of the year, a Trivia game will be part of the Arcade games on a daily basis, such as it is in many game areas online. Then again, people may like a spontaneous question.

Trivia and our conversation thread will run from 8pm to 9:30pm. Once I get a feel of this new thread it could go longer. I just hope when and if this occurs, that hubby is home for good from rehab. I am looking at this happening after his bladder surgery the end of November and a short rehab stay following just to be sure that he is OK.l

To answer your question about time: 8 pm sounds good since we are used to starting the game at that hour. I was also looking at 8:30 pm. I also have noticed that a few, including myself, find it difficult to stay until 10:30. So I am looking at either 9:30 or 10 pm to end the thread. While hubby is in rehab, it would be easier for me to stay until the game ends and it is not too late to be on the road. After the experience on the road a few days ago, I would like to be home unless hubby is not well. I hope this makes some kind of sense.

It is now 9:00 p.m. in Oz you are an hour ahead of me. So will the time not change?

Sheba, I am thinking that the beginning would be about the same but the end could be 9:30 pm or 10 pm Eastern time. I would stay at Rehab until the game ended. 9:30 pm works for me. I do not want to be on the road at 10:35 pm To bring everyone up to date, I think it was Tuesday night that hubby was in extreme pain. The catheter wasn’t working and there was a backup. I stayed until he was able to get to sleep after two nurses worked on him. Once they realized what the problem was, they were able to fix it and all was well. I left around 10:15/10:30pm. There was a car behind me and that vehicle frightened me. There was some kind of lightning happening in that vehicle. Not sure if it was their light system or there was a gun in the car. Thank goodness, they made a turn and I was able to breathe a sigh of relief.

I am fine with the timeline since I have done it for many years through it all.
I can still do my thread Oodie get some rest and sleep well.

I think I have to cover my plants as we will be in the 30’s.

-Sweeney, thanks for your ideas. I do not think Trivia will change that much. We will still h ave the questions and an opportunity to answer. We will continue the conversation as well. I realize that not everyone embraces change and that is why this discussion.
