I wonder….
I find it interesting that they are having contests for new inventors and designers. My guess is it’s cheaper to hire new people than to keep tried and true folks like Joy around. She and Iman were a team so there has to be legalities involved there. Joy and Iman share several products together so if they let Joy go Iman is part of her company.
I don’t get why Connie and Brett were let go. Both were outstanding and professional. I’m guessing anyone with a high salary will go except for hosts like Bobby and Colleen who have been around forever and have a huge following. I am just finding that I used to enjoy watching for entertainment as much as for certain designers and products. Now many of the products are so bad that even someone as good at selling as Colleen isn’t believable with some of those crazy creams or hair products. It seems like every time I turn on the station there’s another cream or hair product. They all can’t be the best. It’s not fun to watch anymore.
I only watch now for DG2. love Diane Gilman. She better stay or I won’t.

@lolly17 Very well stated, and my sentiments exactly. ITA on all points.

@lolly17, it looks like “The Big Find” is replacing “American Dreams” which they held twice a year. Joy Mangano, Iman, Curtis Stone and Ming Tsai were all a part of it and at one time it was always featured on their cover page. I can’t recall the other vendors but I do remember seeing them featured on the commercials for it as well.
I don’t think there’s anything to speculate about with this one. It appears to be smart business to consolidate this portion of the two businesses (that’s if QVC ever had a program).

All I know is if IMAN, see’s this post suggesting she was apart of “Joy’s” company…eweeee you’ll be blessed out in various African tongues. That lady, meaning IMAN, was a legend BEFORE we ever heard of Joy. And I’m not taking anything away from Joy’s accomplishments. Just saying…

@skingirl13… Amen girlfriend… You hit the nail on the head with the Iman point. Certain folks need to know the business and get their minds right concerning a black person’s accomplishments BEFORE and WITHOUT a white person’s hands in their pot. Geeez.
