I Am Concerned

Yesterday, the Beekman’s had a TS, on QVC. Bounty box offered with auto-ship. The last time I checked in they were announcing 60,000.00 sold. Today, 24NOV Adrienne announcing about the Aragon oil and baiobon (sp) from Africa. How many times have I heard merchants like Jay King announce various mines closed due to over mining? Recently, some complained about their bounty boxes being extremely delayed from the Beekman’s. Are we over farming the goats? How much goat milk is in a product anyway? We are Gluttons. Consumers…I love beautiful things and I certainly appreciate HSN. I just wish we would be better. We can be better.

We live in abundance, not scarcity. Scare…city (fear) is what we are fed through media. Ignore it. Over farming goats? Can’t we just breed more goats? Rocks have been in the Earth for millions and billions of years. The mechanism that created them happened way back when so when a formation, vein, striation is done, it’s done. It’s no one’s fault. Mother Earth, as Jay has shown us, will bring us something else to ooo and ahhh over. We can be overzealous as consumers so live in balance with what you need and what you want.

Does anyone need 40 shoes? Probably not. Does anyone need every Mine Find? Probably not. We must put into balance what makes our life feel positive versus what burdens us.

I find that the best gift I can give myself is gifting someone something. During the holidays, I loved picking out books for kids on the tree or for a women’s shelter at the local bookstore. The last week before the big day usually saw only a few books bought, so I went to the clearance section and wiped them out of their books. For Thanksgiving, I would buy three turkeys. One for my family and two to donate.

So instead of worrying about the goats, they’re just fine I am sure, create a positive outcome. What could you do to help someone this holiday season?

Now that I am disabled, I do online events for others to sell their books online. I don’t make any money, but it’s all the community service I can do these days.

  Thank you for your response. My opinion is not media based. It’s based on fact and understanding cause and effect. When you deplete resources, they disappear. Especially resources that are non-sustainable or unable to rejuvenate.
  
  I don’t know if Mother Nature will bring us something new to ewwww and awww over. I haven’t seen many “new” things pop up in my 53 yrs other than new diseases.
  
  As far as charity, I have given consistently to two organizations for years…one based with animals and the other with children. I personally think we are stewards of this planet and that we’re capable of being better.
  
  Glad you’ve found what feeds your spirit and mind. We all have our unique ways of looking at things.
