HSN shipping fees out of hand.

Been shopping HSN for decades. Never liked that they charge tax ON the shipping (tax should only be on the subtotal on the items bought) but I gave that battle up years ago. Now, many items have worked their way up to $7.50 shipping. One item. Each. If you want 2 of the same item , it’s $15. Come on! If I want to buy 10 different items in one HSN shopping spree, it’s $75! Are you serious?! I DO buy a lot, but I think my buying from HSN is coming to an end. There is no reason they can’t charge an entire order one flat fee. Should be FREE ship with over a certain dollar amount like most online retailers. Lately, I’ve been looking up the item I want that I’ve seen presented on air and see the exact same thing on Walmart, Target, Amazon etc, and got the shipping free. Bought it there. HSN and their ” other company” are too greedy anymore. Time to update your shipping policies HSN.

I was wondering if there’s still a thread here where you can mention the cons of shopping here? The Admins & Customer Service would keep track of how pleased – or displeased – their customers were.. Anyone know??

I agree! I recently bought a pair of shoes. Terrible fit. I packed it up but there was no pre-stick return label. Just a printef order form. I had to cut the return label and tape it on the box and no prepaid postage. So, I had to stand in line at post office and it was $16 bucks to mail it back. Will not be buying from HSN again. Customer for 20+ years is done.

  Yes, I too recently had this happen with the Sun Joe Trimmer. It does not do like described and was so loud it breaks the sound barrier. I thought I lost the label, so went to print it out and the only option was for me to send it back on my own. They wanted $48 to send it back which was insane. I didn’t bother calling HSN to complain because I have enough upsetting things to deal with. I just kept the trimmer and won’t be buying anything unless it is small or I know for sure I will keep it. If it is heavy or over-sized, no more for me.
  
  I didn’t think they would stop hassle-free return pre-paid labels for clothes and shoes. I guess I’ll have to pass on any shoes that I don’t know the brand and how they fit me. Same with clothing. I’ll be less likely to try something I am not sure about with a new designer.

  I used to order many pairs of shoes when the shipping was FREE! Since QVC got involved with HSN none. I have probably cut my shopping for impulse buys 100% . Shipping charges make me rethink all of my purchases. In addition, I am not at all happy with sales discounts. Used to be a minimum of $10 dollars on most fashion items. It irks me to see a $4,26 discount on a $63 or $67
  item and that is presented as a great sale price and then you are charges S&H so your total discount is less than $1–some sale!?

Plus, they are making additional profit off the S&H. It does not cost them $15.00 to mail 2 pairs of pants in the same box. I order very rarely from HSN now since I have an Amazon Prime account and am very spoiled with the 2-day shipping. I know you have to pay a yearly fee but I also enjoy the prime video that I watch a lot of movies on. HSN and QVC’s prices have really shot up too.

I agree at one point I had my cart filled with clearance items the shipping came to about 1/2 of the total price of the items. I slowly deleted most of the items I ordered 2 and shipping was $7.00.

I agree that when you are buying multiples of a small non bulky item the shipping gets outrageous. I can understand that when you buy, let’s say, 2 televisions, yes shipping those are expensive, but when I am buying two pairs of the same pants, that will be shipped in the same package, why do I have to pay double shipping.

Just cancelled an order that was over 100 dollars. Not going to shop here anymore. If I find a product I like that’s on air I will go to eBay or amazon and get it there. Shipping is out of control.
