HSN CARD TRANSFERING TO SYNCHRONY BANK
Just went into my HSN charge account. There it was, what going to Synchrony Bank will mean to you. They are horrible to deal with so I am sure I will be through with HSN. QVC has really changed HSN 🙁
-
I recently called the number HSN gave me. They asked how much money I make a year. That was all I had to do. They sent me a bill today that had a new number..
-
I just called Synchrony Bank looking for the mailing address and got nowhere. Because I make payment through my bank, they contact me with a new HSN account number. I asked Synchrony and again no help.
-
What a disaster! Synchrony just sent me a letter(9/3) that Comenity should not receive any payments from me as of 2 weeks ago. The most recent bill I got from Comenity said to send payment by 9/10, What? My head is spinning.. So I called Synchrony and asked what to do and was told in so many words ” NOT OUR PROBLEM”. They told me to call Comenity and try to get my money back myself. You call this a bank transition? They even suggested that I might have to sue them to get my money back, Bottom line? I have to pay a great amount of money twice and then try to get the other bank to pay me back. HSN, is this the best you can do? If so I’m shopping elsewhere.
-
I am just finding out that my HSN card was change to Synchrony Bank. I will miss Comenity pay because when we had to evacuate 2 years Comenity bank gave us up to 2 months to pay on our credit card wave fees, but Synchrony bank expected that payment on time even though we were evacuated because of the hurricane. Comenity Bank had a heart, Synchrony did not care and that is the difference with the 2 banks.

First I got a call from a number I don’t recognize. I did not answer. Then I hear the message stating to contact synchrony bank for a late payment, which I could not have since I signed for autopay with HSN (comenity bank). So, I called and talked with someone who told me I now have a new account number. My balance included around $33.00 late payment to which I refused to pay. I payed my balance and the late payment was waved. I then had to register with synchrony bank and establish a new account with the new number I was given by synchrony bank. She told me I would get a new card in about 10 days. We will see.
HSN never charged taxes before, QVC has been a negative for me. I don’t use it anymore unless there is free shipping. This “corporate” decisions hurt the consumer. But greed in corporate America has no limits. -
Syncrony bank can c lose my account because that is what they do
-
Hi You have to go to pay your bill on HSN and set up your account with your current HSN credit card #. You then can put your banking account info in to make a payment. When your new HSN card arrives I think they will change it automatically. I hope this helps.

I scheduled my sept payment beginning of aug. I still don’t have my new credit card to set it up what happens to me scheduled payment?
-
UPDATE: I have my HSN card with Commenity and was able to set up my account with that number. I have my sept payment set up. It was pretty easy.
-
Can you please tell me what I need to do so I can set up my payment before its late???

OMG!! This whole bank transfer is annoying !! I could not reach a live person to get set for on-line payments. Why isn’t it a simple thing when calling HSN before making a payment by phone. It repeats the same thing if not able to understand, “My apologies…”again”…………
-
Very annoying. Same issue. On the phone, she apologized over and over. Told them this was a really poorly thought out process. Most of us that have had our accounts for years and paid on line for years have no idea what our card number is.
She did say that they would waive any fees if payment is missed during the transition but quite frankly that is just another call I have to make for an issue that is their fault.

Doesn’t anyone keep the plastic HSN credit card?I have my HSN card in my wallet along with all other credit cards.I always keep any account number because most times even calling regarding any credit card you will need the 16 digit number to access the account.I also have a folder that I download my monthly credit card statements for keeping. Its very hard to get a card number otherwise.

I just spent over 40 minutes on the line with both banks and NOBODY including their managers on both sides can give me my account number in order to register. I was told there is NO WAY I can register because I do not have the HSN number that was with Comenity Bank and I do not have a statement because I get online statement, paperless statements. and I do not have my actual card as this account was opened a while ago. Now, I have to wait for September or October to get a new card and in the mid-time, I will not be able to access my account online or pay my bill online.
This is totally ridiculous. None of those genius that decided to switch bank did not think that some people do not know their account number? any just one way of registering is so not forward thinking and very ancient way of doing things in this century when technology is so advanced. Again, why am I surprised? HSN has gone downhill since the QVC executives took over. We should just wait for the day that it will be announce that HSN is closing entirely.
So frustrating!-
I hope you were able to register your account by now. I had to wait to receive my information in the mail from Synchrony before I could register. The account number was on my statement and it began with a 6.

Hello Everyone,
Oh no, I’ll have to totally disagree. My experience with Comenity was a workout. I’ve been with them for years, and while I had no problem other than paying the bill – lol. I believe they set cardholders up for failure, and I’ll tell you how. First, they did not have a “Monthly Recurring Payment” option. Comenity is my only card that requires you manually pay it each month. To add insult to injury, their system will only allow one (1) payment at a time. It would ruffle my feathers every single one of the 200+ times I had to visit their website over the last ten plus (10+) years. It’s too easy to forget a payment and hurt your credit score.I suggested the change and complained about it each and every month, to no avail. Why wouldn’t they want their payments?
It’s funny, I have to refer to my password book if I want to check on a Synchrony account. You set it up and NEVER have to worry about it again! I’m looking forward to setting up my HSN account with Synchrony. Good luck to everyone out their and GOD bless.

This is exactly the way it is with two of my sisters. Once they had their few items paid off, they discontinued use with that bank. You were right when you stated that they ‘set their customers up for failure”. Definitely NOT a good business model. Thank you for your post. It verified my sisters’ experience. They thought it may be just a ‘fluke’. Seemingly, it’s not. It’s the way they do business. VERY disappointing.

Is anyone else having issues using the HSN card after the transition? I know the accounts won’t be accessible to Synchrony until Monday. However, I’m not able to use my card and no one can tell me anything other than I have full available credit I paid my small balance before this transition.
-
Weirdly enough, I believe that we have been told that after the 22nd we can not use the old address to make our payments, but we don’t have a new address. The old one is on the statement that was sent.

Readytoshop, there is a link on HSN home page today directing you to FAQ. The online acct is available until tomorrow. It may be best to make a payment before tomorrow to ensure your account is up to date in payments during the transformation.
The instructions says to go to http://www.hsn.syf.com after Aug 26th to set up an account.
You also may want to take today to download all of your online statements if you have the paper copies as they are not available after tomorrow. -
Tried the link and I get a “Page cannot be displayed” message
-
Shulkie, I think it said the like will be available after Agust 26th when the transfer has completed.
