Hello from the Sunshine State

Hello Deek my sweet friend. I’m listening to the weather man, and he’s saying people in my city should put up hurricane shutters because we are so close to Palm Beach County. The poor man is so nervous he is babbling. Well, I guess it’s time for me to start finishing up the last of my preparations. Much love to you & Sadie, stay safe. ❤🙏❤

Looks like the west side of the state is out of the cone but the eastern side and on up to the Carolinas might not be so lucky. I’m in Largo, about 10 miles from HSN (I pass them when I go to visit my mom in the nursing home). My friend in Georgia emailed me about us getting hit and I had to tell her she might be the unlucky one. Let’s hope that the storm heads out to sea and leaves every one alone. Thank you padfoot4, I’m in North Eastern Broward just below Palm Beach County, so they have been keeping us guessing, we have Tropical Storm warnings up now, I just wish they would stop saying “one little turn is all it takes”. I’m keeping my guard up and eating all of my Hurricane supplies. 😎👍

Hi Kittengirl, thank you for your Prayers. Things are looking a little better here for awhile. My little guy was quite sick for about a month. I thought I was going to lose him. But, many Vet visits and many many Vet bills later he is just now back to his normal sweet self. It turns out that Pookies cat has food allergies. I hope you and your hubby & fur babies all have a great Labor Day. Don’t worry about me, I’m a tough old bird. ❤😊❤

Pookie, I’m sorry to hear about your little guy but glad to hear he is on the mend. My Chewey is not doing well but he is hanging in there like a good soldier. Roberto (my 20 year old cat) recently got sick too and it turned out he has developed allergies to the flea meds so we can’t give them to him anymore. We just have to make sure all the other cats get their meds so he won’t get any fleas. He’s still hanging in there at stage 2 with his kidneys and doing well. We’ve had more kittens since the last time I told you we had kittens! 😀 And we also took in some orphaned kittens. Please give your cat kitty hugs from mine and the both of you stay safe! 😀

Hi kittengirl, sorry to hear about your babies. It is really a heart breaking experience when they get sick. My little guy can’t use flea medicine either. He had three Grand Mal Seizures when I first got him. One a month shortly after I would apply the meds. I stopped the meds after the second seizure and he still had one the following month, but that was the end of them. He also has an adverse reaction to some probiotic stuff you sprinkle on their food. He really is the sweetest little being in the world. I hope you are feeling better and things are getting a little easier for you. Take care of yourself. ❤😊❤

Hi Xango, I cut the cord on my cable service a couple of months ago, now I get the local forecasts anywhere from Miami to West Palm Beach. I also get the National network reports, one thing they all have in common is nothing. No one knows where this is going to end up. Your Friday Night Game Night Thread is really wonderful, I love seeing everyone having fun and interacting with each other, it really is the one bright spot left on the Forum, let’s hope its contagious. It looks like I might be out of the worst of it, but it ain’t over till it’s over. I should weigh five hundred pounds by the end of the week. I’ll have to buy Xtra Large Feathers. Thanks so much for the nice compliment on Trivia. I love it when people can interact with one another. By the way, have you heard from Trekky. She was the first to start off Trivia and I really miss her. I hope she is feeling better as well. She’s been through so much.

Hi Oodiebom, no I haven’t heard from Trekky. I used to post on her Thread when I played the games but I never really knew her as a person. You are so lucky to live in New England. It is one of my favorite places in the States. It is so beautiful, Summer, Winter, Spring, Fall, any time of the year just beautiful. I have many fond memories from weekends and vacations spent in Greenwich, Connecticut and then in a little town outside of Keene, New Hampshire at a beautiful home deep deep in the woods on a sweet little lake. ❤😊❤
