Thank you, Sheba and Happy Thanksgiving, to you too. In our family we always have sauerkraut with our Turkey dinner. It’s a Baltimore tradition and that’s where my parents were raised. It reminds me of childhood Thanksgivings and beyond until today. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

  I remember eating orange sweet potatoes here in the US for the first time. In Brazil we eat purple or white sweet potatoes.
  I remember eating sweet potatoes and green beans for the first time back in 1967. In the home of my first friend I made here, Leslie Williams in Washington, DC. We would walk to school together and walk home together.
  Now I must have green beans and sweet potatoes together. I also make my own kind of dressing or stuffing that I just developed to my taste. I chop lots of celery, onions garlic sautéed in olive oil. Blanche carrots cut into sticks. Bring chicken stock and butter to a boil pour into the bread, add the chopped veggies, add the carrots (I add lots of carrots) and add lots of chopped Italian parsley, Sage, Thyme, and Oregano.

Our tradition is whatever family member wants to cook! Going to mom’s, sis and I will handle the meal. Watch some football, the dog show and probably listen to some music. Should be a nice day – and – no snow in the ‘burgh for traveling, yay! Happy Thanksgiving to all in the community and many blessings in your homes.🦃🙏🦃

Hello Sheba. Happy Thanksgiving to you and the community. My family is all over the USA and can’t be together as we once were. However, we will do virtual chat and visit with one another in this manner.

I will prepare a meal with turkey and all the fixings and enjoy the day watching my favorite movies Jane Eyre, Rebecca. I will also put up my Christmas decorations, not much small tree, wreath, lanterns. But, I will enjoy this and be thankful for all my blessings that my family and I have enjoyed throughout the year.

I always do a traditional Thanksgiving and we all gather around the table and talk.

My favorite movies are many such as The Bishops Wife with Loretta Young I just
DVR that one from TCM. I also like Home Alone and many more these are just
for starters.

This is one of my favorite scenes where they are ice skating and the Angel Cary Grant
does some great magic. 😜
