Favorite Host Valerie Stup
Valerie Stup, they need to clone her mannerisms and selling style.
I love the way she speaks well, clearly and not too fast.
She doesn’t overly exaggerate when she is talking about an item. She has just enough enthusiasm that comes across softly and sincere.
I can watch her the longest which I usually can’t do with most of the hosts.
One host who is nice enough and has been on HSN for 16 years I find to be extremely boring she could put me to sleep. She on the other hand seems like she is just going through the motions. It must be hard to find the right balance and not everyone has that “It Factor” to be a great host and not overwhelm the customer nor put them to sleep.

I think she has so much potential and charisma but I dislike how she tries to be like the veteran hosts—the long pitch is not her strength. “You can use this for blank, blank and same blank in your car blank, on for your blank who needs a blank” Like I get you’re trying to sell me on uses but how bout we put some actual life in it?

I agree totally. I don’t like when they oversell yet they all do that which is so annoying. We want to know everything about the product and especially sizing depending on the item. We don’t want to hear over and over the same sales pitch. To me it is like the old version of a used car salesman do you really want to spend your time listening to him/her.
I haven’t been watching HSN 1/2 as much as I use to, I find the majority of the hosts so annoying and most of the merchandise poor quality.

The only host I cannot, cannot stand is Shannon S. In my opinion, she laughs like a lunatic, it’s terrible! Whenever is on, I just switch to any other channel.
Why do they keep her in front of the camera? -
You are so right. I very seldom watch either show and just go online. I still do love the “oldies but goodies.” They are genuine!
