DG2 petite or just short? need to exchange

Help – need to exchange before they are gone!! i can’t find anywhere if her petite sizes are just shorter or if entire jean is tailored for petite.

ordered a small and they are a bit baggy in crotch so it feels like i have to keep pulling up. they also feel a bit high at waist and not as fitting as thought. So overall prob need next size down but…

If the rise is shorter for petites, than i probably need that. I prefer the length of the regular vs petite, but would forgo that for a better fit. So, do i go for an xs, or petite xs??
