Credit check??? Why?

Was surprised tonight when I was going to use my HSN card and chose flex pay. Up popped a notice about potentially doing a credit check. Been shopping with HSN for over 30 years, never missed any payments, never had any issues with paying so what’s the deal with that? I don’t want them performing hard inquiries which will mess up my very good credit score and especially when it’s not warranted! I changed my payment method and it didn’t come up that time. I will stop using my HSN card if this keeps happening. Ridiculous!

Skittles, how did that affect your credit score? That’s unreal. That was my first time ever seeing that pop-up and as I said I’ve been a customer for several decades. Still puzzled by that.

At least they informed you of their intention. HSN used to conduct a credit check on me all the time before I got a Zulily card.

HSN never bothered to let me know in advance they were running a credit check.
