Thank you for your note from yesterday. Hubs is in a difficult situation and I try to lift his spirit by bringing him some surprises. Today, well, due to the weather being unbreathable, he will have to suffice with chocolate chip cookies and pudding from Costco. Tomorrow, a fifferent story. I have a hair appointment in the afternoon and following will make a stop at the Farmer’s Market. Have no idea what I will bring until I see something that looks good in the bakery department. The Farmer’s Market is about a mile and a half from the salon and I do pass it on the way home. I will be carrying two freezser bags with at least two freezer paks inside each. This time I will also look at the fresh fruit. Hubs is now off puree foods and he loves apples. I may surprise him with one and I will remember to skin it first and to cut it into small piecies.

The renovation has not moved. I got hit pretty hard from the people I trusted to make the bathroom handicapped accessible. They knew from the beginning what needed to be done and even visited the rehab. However, the shower has a two inch lip leading into it and a shower curtain which is a no no. The whees from the wheelchair could become hazardous if they get caught in the shower. I have actually wondered if it would be a good idea to notify BBB. Taking them to court over this would not be feasible since it would be more $$ out of pocket. The rehab is out of pocket and I don’t dare mention how much.

Oh, before I forget. I am actually waiting for a delivery as I type. I ordered a mini drum set that will sit on this bedside cart that actually works. It has a few drums, drum stick and cymbals. They all work. One way to let off steam and frustration when the day does not go as planned. (LOL)

Every now and then we need to slow down and relax. Easy to say, hard to do. As I’ve gotten older, I do try and I say no more often. Glad your hubs was king for the day!👑

I feel a little better but still moving slow. I tried to vacuum today and had to stop a couple times. Played secretary for hub’s golf league and sent room lists to the hotel for their August trip.🏌️‍♂️ Hard to believe half the year is gone already.😮

My dad past in 1980 a few days following his birthday. The day of his funeral I placed a couple of roses from their garden and put them in his hands while remembering the many times I surprised him at the store while away at college. This time the surprise was to me on the day he passed away. I had asked for the day off to surprise both parents and I was up at the crack of dawn to shower and dress and head out before the traffic. However, our phone rang just as I was about to leave. A policeman, whom I kniew, phoned to say dad had past during the night. This time I was the one who was surprised. I was so distraught that my hubs refused to drive me to be with family until he was sure I could hold myself together. I packed a bag to stay with mom for at least a week or more. Hubs returned to work the day after the funeral, but returned daily and stayed until after dinner. The mileage from our home to my parents front door was over 50 miles one way. The first night following dad’s death, the phone started ringing after midnight and every hour for the next seven. I was too frightened to answer and to this day have no idea who phoned. After returning from the funeral, I got the surprise of a lifetime. There was a knock on the door and I answered. A florist was standing in front of me with a dozen red roses in a vase with a card. It said ” enjoy, love you always. Dad. ” I still shed tears whenever I recall that day That is something I will never forget.

May your dad’s spirit guide you through the good and bad days. Mine comes with doves and rainbows. Yours, with the kiss of a butterfly. Sing whenever you see one. Your dad in his way, will always be with you just like mine.

Good day in the ‘burgh. 🎈😎 I am so glad your niece is coming to town. 💕
I did too much last week and the weekend. I had a major headache. Oops!
I am fine now I do need to slow down I have always been busy and sometimes
I go a bit overboard.

I wanted my husband’s father day to be special. Our four kids all stepped up to make
this happen. It was a very good day and it paid off for him. 💕🎈

Thank you for the shout out on Herb Alpert. What a Artist! I have seen Frank Sinatra and
Liza Minnelli in Concert together and it was a show stopper he also had his son conducting
his Orchestra that was a magical night for me. 💕

The Anne and Samantha Day gets me every year their stories will always live on.

Good day on the Gulf Coast of Florida. 🎈😎Oodie OZ is beautiful today we are in the 60’s
I am loving it and so are the plants and flowers. I fed the flowers today and they look so
pretty. 😎💕We had rain this weekend amazing what mother nature can do.

I had a really bad headache last night I took something and went straight to bed.
I needed that rest because I was doing this and that all weekend and it all came to
a head. LOL! 😎I feel much better today.
