Sadly, yesterday was not a good day. The migraine hit like a ton of bricks. Today, thus far, I am ok.
Will be with hubs this afternoon.. I ordered delivery from Sams and will bring a salad to the receptionist. Hubs visits her two or three times per day. It’s the only way he can find out if I’m ok.
I will write more later. Hope we get some rain.

Orange Margarita?

Ingredients:

3 oz. fresh-squeezed Cara Cara orange juice or your favorite orange variety
2 oz. silver or blanco 100% agave tequila
1 oz. Cointreau
1 oz. fresh squeezed lime juice
¼ to ½ oz. simple syrup depending on how sweet you want it

Instructions:

Stir together all ingredients. Pour into a salted-rimmed glass full of chopped ice. Garnish with fresh orange and lime wedges.

Note:
If you can’t find Cara Cara oranges, blood oranges or bright and tangy naval oranges are also great.

Your yard sounds like mine after a storm, always a cleanup. We got some heavy rains yesterday and some areas were flooded. So far, so good at my house for now.

National Kitten Day reminds us that while kittens are well equipped to find their way into our hearts, many don’t find homes. They’re abandoned at shelters, on the side of the road, or wild and feral. Spaying and neutering our pets, including our cats, is vital to their health and keeping the stray population down.

Another goal of awareness campaigns like this one is to encourage adoptions. Instead of purchasing a kitten from a pet store, adopt from a shelter. Many kittens are born in shelters. While their ages may vary, all kittens do become cats.

Good day on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Oodie I hope this day finds you doing very well. 😎🎈
Oz will have a bit of rain coming late afternoon.

I hope you get some nice gentle rain in your area. 💕😎Poppy is healing just fine.
That was a very unhealthy wound he had on his backside. All the medicine is doing
their job. I am thankful the Vet was opened during this past weekend. Poppy received
excellent care. 😎💕 I am making sure the outdoor cats are being fed and have fresh
clean water. I do my best. 💕

If it is very hot there today I would have more Culver’s for you and hubby. I am enjoying
some delicious cold watermelon. 😎💕🎈Oz is warm but will be warmer next week.

I stayed home today and will venture out tomorrow. I find it very difficult to go from the house to the car with temps over the mid 90s, humidity at 96% making the temp over 110 degrees. Though I now carry Purified bottle Water and the Smart water, I still become concerned of getting dizzy and fainting. I have been like this since camp days during the summer months. Camp started July 1st and ended a few days prior to the return of school bells.

Hubs has been very quiet the last few days. Not his energetic self. I think he feels he is never returning and there are days that I feel that way as well. I have started really looking for someone to put the finishing touches on the bathroom and also to change some windows and redo the entire flooring. The first step is the bathroom. I also have names of people that can help him when he returns home. Our Insurance will help for the first two or three weeks and they also will help me with Physical Therapy. The next town North of us has a facility with a pool that may be the best solution. There are also transportation in place that will meet hubs at the door and drive him to the session and then return him following. I have also been able to redo the entrance to our home and to clean the carport so that a ramp can be installed. I am now looking at Trex which come in various colors including the gray. It’s better than wood and will withstand the temp and other weather changes. It would be good to have hubby home and be able to do some of the things that I am unable to do.

We had some much needed rain around 6pm today. I am sure it was more than a quarter of an inch. More is expected at 9 pm. Thankfully, it was just a rain even even though we are still under a severe thunderstorm watch.

I did see some of Heidi’s time on HSN. Love her smile and enthusiasm. Her laughter is catching. I have a few items in favorites.

Have a great evening. Love the cats and possum. The possum will probably come to you in due time for a pet. They are super friendly. The cats will come around once they realize that Poppy won’t harm them. You could also try cat treats. The ones I am thinking of are the snacks/treats that come in a pouch that they lick from.

Good Evening glad you had a day to yourself. I do understand how both you and hubby
feel. Oodie it has been a while since he was admitted to the Rehab. I know if you have the
power you will make it happen.

I hope you can find the help you will need on this new journey and it will not be easy for
either of you. I am praying it will happen and soon. 💕

Oodie you are right about the cat treats I get the above from Chewy. This comes to
my front door every week or if I buy more it’s cheaper. Miss Kitty loves it and yes I do
feed her from the packet. 😎The other cats I put in their bowels on top of their food
they eat it up which makes me feel good. 😎💕🎈

We will have a slight storm soon and I see everyone heading to their safe spot. 💕

Please be careful during this stormy season you are wise to stay home. Rest well Oodie.

Mr. Poppy is healing well. Lady it was a bad wound and I am glad I got him to the
Vet in time. 😎I wish I could take the cats but they will not let me touch them. I think
they like my company as long as I stay behind the glass door. I know they love the food. 💕
When night falls I can see their eyes glowing in the dark watching me as I watch the moon.
I have been a moon watcher every single night for almost 20 years. 😎💕 I bask in it and I
sleep like a baby I watch all the phases the moon go through and the planets around them.
This is something to do after a long day and I have always loved it.

more storms in a couple of hours. Still we have large trees uprooted from the ground some
even took the sidewalks. I have seen a lot in the past two days. I am thankful all we had
were a few tree debris in our yard and none of the animals were hurt. The critters know

Arnold Palmer ice cream is what we both enjoyed. Hubs ate every morsel and then used his finger to get every morsel on the side. That hot fudge was delicious.

The rehab was quite warm. However, it was cooler than being outdoors. I bought their Fresca salad for tomorrow. It is too hot and muggy to shop. We are suppose to get a cool down starting either Monday or Tuesday with chances for rain every day next week. I also have a very bad habit of falling aslee4p at the computer. The last couple of nights I tried going to bed early without using the computer or reading the news of the day. Also, like most people, cannot wait to view the pictures of the newlyweds. I wonder if they are honeymooning in Rhode Island. I love that State. However, the ocean is full of pebbles. That’s why we chose the Cape. But shopping for clothing is another State that does not tax. Ma. is the other one and both are easy to get to from Ct..

the very early hours of the morning what a relief then it’s back to Indian Summer. 😎

This was very good for the animals. 😎💕I just took some food across the street for
the little cat I have taken care of for over three years. This is a labor of love. 💕
Miss Kitty will not let him on the porch to eat so he gets his food delivered Uber Style. 😎

I miss him because he was one of the first I started taking care of and making sure he was
safe and well fed. Miss Kitty is just too spoiled. I do keep plenty of fresh water out for all
the critters.

Good evening and your meal sounds so good. 💕😘I can’t eat heavy food when it is
this warm. I love Tuna just right for a day like today. Lady I had not turned on the Telly
when I posted to you earlier well OZ had quite the storm in the dawn hours.

I had no cable until around 4:00 p.m. and trees were uprooted and laying on cars
and houses yeah this is OZ. I saw on the telly a camera recording when a huge tree
totaled a car in the driveway. There were power outages and you did not have cable
or internet. Very strange but I know a transformer was hit. My cable company emailed
me that’s how I knew I had no cable. My next door neighbor texted me and asked did
I have internet of course I did they did not. One neighbor gutters was ripped off her
garage what a sight and what a night. I slept right through it hubby was up and saw it
all.

I place the cat food on my neighbor’s patio and the bowls of water and food are between
two chairs she is alright with this and it works. I go back and forth to make sure the right
animal is eating if I see my favorite cat I will give him some good wet food as well. 😎
I don’t like to leave wet food out too long as anything can get into it.

Enjoy this tonight and relax.

Oz will have another storm in the morning and I hope it is not too bad.
I know how you feel when all that wind and rain starts out of nowhere. We were not
expecting something this strong.
