NATIONAL OLD STUFF DAY

Always observed on March 2nd, National Old Stuff Day gives notice to all that old stuff and encourages you to try something new. Well, maybe not ALL the old stuff, but some of it. It’s a day to break out of the old routines and experience new ones.

NATIONAL BANANA CREAM PIE DAY

The calendar loves pie days and National Banana Cream Pie Day is no exception! On March 2nd, be sure to get your slice of one of America’s all-time favorite creampies.

NATIONAL READ ACROSS AMERICA DAY (DR. SEUSS DAY)

Each year, National Read Across America Day is celebrated on March 2nd, the birthday of Dr. Seuss. The annual event is part of Read Across America, an initiative on reading created by the National Education Association. Since the event is designed to encourage reading in children and is fostered through the schools, when March 2nd lands on a weekend, the day is observed on the closest school day.

After 3 days finally saw hubs today. He was very concerned especially after the episode last Thursday. He had a very nice dinner and wanted me to give it a taste. Definitely refused. No more meals at the Rehab unless it is a delivery.

Glad your daughter made it home safely. That was quite a trip and a nightmare avoided. I love Boston and miss it. However, I don’t miss walking in the cold. If your daughter enjoys Asian food, Beach St has the best meals including dim sum. That’s our stop when we pay a visit to the Retina clinic at Tufts. We always walked from the bus station to our appointment and then back again when it was over. Returning to the bus depot was always a challenge due to the eye drops. It was like the blind leading the blind. Yes, we could have called a taxi, but it was only a few blocks of torture. Why bother????!!!!! By the time we reached the Cape, one of us was able to see enough to drive home.

I started going through some of my clothing today. Felt good to load to huge boxes. Even found time to do the usual garbage thing. Will do Recycle next week. I will be contacting the team who do the pick up for our annual bazaar in December. I think I counted at least 10 boxes full and I am still going strong. Hope to have tons of cabinet and closet space when I’m done.
