I created and started this thread 13 years ago in March. 😎🎈
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎I have been shopping and posting on HSN since the late
90’s 😎I have wonderful memories from the HSN we all know and love.

Don McLean Lyrics
“American Pie”A long, long time ago
I can still remember how that music used to make me smile
And I knew if I had my chance
That I could make those people dance
And maybe they’d be happy for a whileBut February made me shiver
With every paper I’d deliver
Bad news on the doorstep
I couldn’t take one more stepI can’t remember if I cried
When I read about his widowed bride
But something touched me deep inside
The day the music diedSo bye, bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry
And them good ole boys were drinking whiskey ‘n rye
Singin’ this’ll be the day that I die
This’ll be the day that I dieDid you write the book of love
And do you have faith in God above
If the Bible tells you so?
Now do you believe in rock and roll?
Can music save your mortal soul?
And can you teach me how to dance real slow?Well, I know that you’re in love with him
‘Cause I saw you dancin’ in the gym
You both kicked off your shoes
Man, I dig those rhythm and bluesI was a lonely teenage broncin’ buck
With a pink carnation and a pickup truck
But I knew I was out of luck
The day the music diedI started singing bye, bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry
Them good ole boys were drinking whiskey ‘n rye
Singin’ this’ll be the day that I die
This’ll be the day that I dieNow for ten years we’ve been on our own
And moss grows fat on a rollin’ stone
But that’s not how it used to be
When the jester sang for the king and queen
In a coat he borrowed from James Dean
And a voice that came from you and meOh, and while the king was looking down
The jester stole his thorny crown
The courtroom was adjourned
No verdict was returnedAnd while Lennin read a book on Marx
The quartet practiced in the park
And we sang dirges in the dark
The day the music diedWe were singing bye, bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry
Them good ole boys were drinking whiskey ‘n rye
Singin’ this’ll be the day that I die
This’ll be the day that I dieHelter skelter in a summer swelter
The birds flew off with a fallout shelter
Eight miles high and falling fast
It landed foul on the grass
The players tried for a forward pass
With the jester on the sidelines in a castNow the halftime air was sweet perfume
While the sergeants played a marching tune
We all got up to dance
Oh, but we never got the chance‘Cause the players tried to take the field
The marching band refused to yield
Do you recall what was revealed
The day the music died?We started singing bye, bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry
Them good ole boys were drinking whiskey ‘n rye
And singin’ this’ll be the day that I die
This’ll be the day that I dieOh, and there we were all in one place
A generation lost in space
With no time left to start again
So come on, Jack be nimble, Jack be quick
Jack Flash sat on a candlestick
‘Cause fire is the devil’s only friendOh, and as I watched him on the stage
My hands were clenched in fists of rage
No angel born in
Could break that Satan’s spellAnd as the flames climbed high into the night
To light the sacrificial rite
I saw Satan laughing with delight
The day the music diedHe was singing bye, bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry
Them good ole boys were drinking whiskey ‘n rye
And singin’ this’ll be the day that I die
This’ll be the day that I dieI met a girl who sang the blues
And I asked her for some happy news
But she just smiled and turned away
I went down to the sacred store
Where I’d heard the music years before
But the man there said the music wouldn’t playAnd in the streets, the children screamed
The lovers cried and the poets dreamed
But not a word was spoken
The church bells all were brokenAnd the three men I admire most
The Father, Son and the Holy Ghost
They caught the last train for the coast
The day the music diedAnd they were singing bye, bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry
And them good ole boys were drinking whiskey ‘n rye
Singin’ this’ll be the day that I die
This’ll be the day that I dieThey were singing bye, bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry
Them good ole boys were drinking whiskey ‘n rye
And singin’ this’ll be the day that I die

NATIONAL TAKE A CRUISE DAY
Get ready to set sail on February 3 because we’re celebrating National Take a Cruise Day! This is the perfect time to start planning an epic voyage on the high seas. Whether you’ve been dreaming of taking a cruise or are a seasoned cruiser, we are encouraging you to use this day to explore and book your vacation aboard a cruise ship.
-

NATIONAL MISSING PERSONS DAY
On February 3rd, National Missing Persons Day focuses the country’s attention long enough to recognize a missing person.
It might be surprising to learn that every day in the United States, approximately 2,300 people are reported missing. However, those numbers no longer surprise anyone making the report, waiting at home for their loved one, or actively looking for them.
When such a large part of our lives goes missing, it leaves a profound void. It’s not a fillable space. Those who have experienced it, those who report 2,300 missing people per day, know.
Everyone has a friend, mother, sibling, child, neighbor, or coworker they see every day. No one expects to have them mysteriously and disappear from their lives with no explanation. It’s a challenging thought. One so difficult to contemplate, it makes it hard to attract the attention of those unfamiliar with the missing person to become involved.
-

NATIONALWOMEN PHYSICIANS DAY
On February 3rd, honor the path that female doctors have paved since 1849 as we recognize National Women Physicians Day.
This day marks the birthday of Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell, the first woman to receive a medical degree in the United States in 1849. Dr. Blackwell initiated the movement that helped women gain entry and equality in the field of medicine.
-

FOUR CHAPLAINS DAY
On February 3rd each year, Four Chaplains Day honors four military chaplains from World War II who sacrificed their lives for fellow service members.
Chaplains in the military are an integral part of the service environment. They provide counseling, spiritual guidance, conduct services, and religious rites, among other responsibilities, and serve all over the globe. If there are military personnel stationed there, chaplains are too.
During World War II, four chaplains who had attended Chaplain School together at Harvard boarded the Dorchester en route to the Army Command Base in southern Greenland. Aboard the ship were 904 service members.
The four chaplains were Reverend George L. Fox, a Methodist minister, Reverend Clark V. Poling of the Reformed Church of America, Rabbi Alexander D. Goode, and Father John P. Washington of the Roman Catholic Church. Their voyage began on January 23, 1943. At the time, German U-Boats were patrolling the area, and the convoy was on high alert. When a German submarine torpedoed the Dorchester on February 3, 1943, in the frigid waters off the coast of Newfoundland, chaos ensued.
Eyewitnesses recounted the chaplains’ heroism, including giving their life jackets and gloves to other service members. They prayed with service members, assisting them into lifeboats. The four chaplains remained on the sinking Dorchester. Only 230 men were rescued from the waters.
Congress awarded the four chaplains the Four Chaplains Medal in 1960.

The Day the Music Died Day on February 3rd remembers the unfortunate and untimely death of singers 22-year-old Buddy Holly, 17-year-old Ritchie Valens, and 28-year-old J. P. Richardson, aka: “The Big Bopper.” These three artists died in an airplane accident on February 3, 1959, near Clear Lake, Iowa. Their pilot, Roger Peterson, also perished in the crash.

Good Morning in S. California. 😎🎈I applaud you for turning back on your hike when
you heard some animals sound smart girl.Thank you for the Shout Out on Thread number 35 going on 13 solid years. 😎💕
Taci the State of Tenn still have a lot of power outage since the storm from last week.
Many people have passed in their homes. The trees are the problem so sad. Some of my family are without power and some have power this is a long time to be without
heat and lights in this weather. I am checking on my Aunt and so far she is fine I have
many cousins who live there so everyone is covered. 💕😎
Here is to safe and happy trails. 😎
-
Sheba, Thanks for the TN information. Wonder if they have generators in the garage or buy one to help in the interim. Lets hope the electricity goes on soon. The thought of passing because of it is awful.
35! is an achievement and I enjoy the visual beauty of your posts.
I’ve been enjoying JK today. Hubs was working on cars and tires and things like that so I took a walk in the neighborhood. Hubs says when I run out it may encourage critters to chase, but they were far enough away that it wasn’t a concern.
-
Good day in the ‘burgh. 😎💕🎈So glad hubby is home and healing.
Glad the hospital gave you food that is so sweet and so rare to hear. 💕
Give you sister a big hug from me when you can. 🎈💕
Keep warm and don’t do too much just get well.
Sending warm and safe vibes to you and Jake. 🎈😎
-
Hubs doing well, I’m still taking an antibiotic and cough pills.🤧 Tired of the cold, we have not been above freezing in two week and won’t be the rest of this week.🥶 Getting more snow on Friday.
No plans for the rest of the week, just taking it day by day. Olympics will be starting.🥇 I’m not even excited for the Super Bowl this year but I’ll watch.
Enjoy the evening by the fireplace. Hugs all around to everyone.🤗💖
-
Good Evening I forgot the Super Bowl will be on Sunday. Well our guys are not playing but
I will watch all of it. 😎May the best team win.I can’t wait for the Olympics I love it. 💕😎
Hey very sad about Savannah Guthrie’s mom being missing. I have never heard of
anything like this. This is awful.
Here enjoy a nice hot toddy and stay warm. 💕 I am going to jump in the shower
and take a nice Perlier Honey Shower and all the creams that go with it. 💕😎All the animals are fed I am so happy to see every one of them.
Sweet Dreams and rest for both you and hubby. 💕

NATIONAL UKULELE DAY

-

NATIONAL HEAVENLY HASH DAY
National Heavenly Hash Day on February 2nd recognizes a family favorite that covers a variety of desserts with a common ingredient.
When it comes to defining Heavenly Hash, the only ingredient that seems for certain is a variety of marshmallows, marshmallow creme or whip. Other ingredients vary, though. Some recipes create delicious cakes with chocolate and marshmallow. And yet, others lean more toward a fruit salad with whipped cream and a variety of nuts or chocolate bars added. Nearly every brand of ice cream has its version of Heavenly Hash with nuts and chocolate included, too.
However, the common ingredient seems to always be a form of marshmallow bringing the dish to a heavenly flavor perfect for potlucks and family gatherings.

Good day on the Gulf Coast of Florida. 🎈😎Oz is in a heat wave we are in the 30’s.
I hope you are able to visit your husband today if possible.
New Month New Thread. 😎🎈
Loving Heidi Daus. 💕😎🎈Heidi has another show this evening.
Yeah Shoelady60 is on my mind I am sure she will post when she can.
Praying for both her and her husband. 💕Enjoy the day Oodie. 🎈

Hi and good evening. Had problems with the new Hot water tank for heat. Contacted the plumber and around 4pm received a phone call that the heater was working well and the problem is with the City. Seems they lower the electricity during the day to conserve energy. Wish they would have said something in their monthly newsletter or online. Now I know. But it did keep me from visiting hubs.
Temps have started to rise. Today we reached 51 and as I type it is 41. We have another night of wind and cold temps and then this part will be on more. Hopefully, we will be in the 60s tomorrow. Another cool down begins Wednesday, but the weekend looks nice and we should be back to the 70s. Tonight’s temp will be in the 30s. Not sure for the rest of the week.
I was able to catch Heidi and tried for one of her pins, but it sold out. I managed to put it into favorites in case it returns. Saw a coupon and used it on other things from Heidi. Guess she will not return until March. This visit was too short.
-
Good morning in S. California. 🎈😎Taci sorry you had a fall. So glad you kept it moving. 💕
Welcome to a new month and a new thread. 😎🎈
Looking forward to hearing from Shoelady60. I am sure she will post when she can.
Taci enjoy the trails and all it’s beauty. 😎🎈 Heidi has another show this evening. 💕
-
Sheba, Happy 35th!
Sorry for not knowing but what happened in TN?
Tried to hike today and heard the wildlife yipping so turned around (well ran) and went to
the gym for the treadmill. Much happier there 🙂Glad we heard from Shoelady and that her hubs is out of the hospital.
-
Good day in the ‘burgh Lady. I think you know you and hubby are on all of our minds. 💕🎈😎
I hope the treatments are working and you are getting some rest.
Wishing you and hubby all the best and a quick recovery. Hey Phil as you may know
thinks we may have another six weeks of winter. 😎 Whatever!Sending warm prayers to you and hubby. 💕
-
Hubs got home this afternoon with a handful of scripts. I think he had a little more than a bronchial infection but I’m not in the mood to read a foreign language right now. Sis and I stopped yesterday to visit and he was in good spirits. I did not go to pick him up today, too tired from yesterday, so sis was the chauffeur. He is feeling pretty good – my hubs is a warrior! Now I have to get me well. The hospital gave us cups of cereal and six meals for lunch/dinner so I won’t have to cook for a couple days. Nice touch!👍👍👍
Everyone – thanks for all your prayers and concerns. It means the world to me to have such wonderful online friends.💕🥰💕
Phil is a neighbor of mine and not real accurate. You’re better off following Staten Island Chuck who, supposedly, is like 80% correct though he also saw his shadow. If the two under my shed would come out, I’ll ask them.🤔
Sending warm, loving hugs to you and Poppy.🤗💖
-
Good Evening I am so glad to see you post. 😎🎈😘I know your husband is glad to be
home.I want you both to rest and just heal.

I knew your sister would come for you she is an angel and I have always told you so. 💕😎
Goodnight to you and Jake my friend. 💕😘
-
You are so very fortunate to have a sister that has heart. Not every family is close knit or have siblings that care. Kudos to your sister who acted as a chauffeur for you and hubs. A hospital who not only gave you meds, but also took the time to pack some food to help with the recovery. Good to know you are both in good hands. Now go put your feet up and watch whatever. Glad you are both home safe and sound.
