Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately, having a button to press would not have helped in this situation. My doors were doubled locked and the only way to get in would have been me going to the front door. Actually, I tried, but was unable to crawl on my hands and knees due to pain. I didn’t realize how bad I was until I tried getting into a sitting position. We do have canes and a walker, but neither would have been helpful in this situation. Our metal bed came in handy in that I used the side to lean on and to be able to get into an upright position. Thankfully, I am OK and as I said in my post I will be starting a new exercise program to get my knees and hips back to where they should be.

Saw hubs today. The room was dark and he was fast asleep. I said one word: “Hello.” He thought he was in dreamland and could not believe I was actually there. The dinner was just started to be handed out, but because he was asleep, he had to wait. But, it was worth it. When it finally arrived and I took a peek, I could not believe what I saw. I just said wait till you see the dinner. He was on his side at the time and curled up . Two aides came in to unravel the sheets and blankets and straighten the bed out before raising the bed to a sitting position. When the aid finally had everything set, they removed the lid from the food and hubs eyes lit up. He had steak fries and a burger with veggies. Nothing pureed. His eyes told the entire story. Once done his voice came back to a regular sound and I was able to hear every word. He ate every morsel like a kitty. Savored each bite.

I am home and feeling better. Still swollen from the fall. I will begin a new exercise program this week in hopes of getting the muscles to work better and return me to a more dexterous self. I will definitely go slow. This fall was a rude awakening.

We now have a RIP current in effect until sometime on Monday. Cooler temps starting tomorrow. No rain before Thursday and that is questionable. Temps tomorrow will be in the low 70s and 50s at night. Monday we will be lucky to see 60. Sounds like a heat wave to you,l but in our case it will feel more like 40 degrees. Me, means layering which I love.

Sheba, you probably have a fast metabolism as well.
Yeah to shopping and not caring too much! Lots of great deals going on now. I have my eye on something and have been tormenting myself about it. I know I can just buy it and just might but I don’t want any buyers remorse.
The Serpentina Earrings have a lovely shimmer in various lighting. Its too bad product details are not mentioned in the video. They would fly out of here if they did.

Oodie, Hope you don’t mind but I was thinking about a woman I met who lives alone and fell and couldn’t call anyone for help so it took a while for her to get medical attention. She is ok now.
She now wears a watch all the time that can call 911. Maybe something like this would be helpful to you?
