Remembering Suzanne Marie Somers (née Mahoney; October 16, 1946 – October 15, 2023)
She was an American actress, author, and businesswoman, who played the television roles of Chrissy Snow on Three’s Company (1977–1981) and Carol Foster Lambert on Step by Step (1991–1998).

Somers wrote more than 25 books, including two autobiographies, four diet books, and a book of poetry. She was also well known for advertising the ThighMaster, an exercise device. While 14 of her books were best sellers and most were focused on health and well-being, doctors criticized her promotion of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and alternative cancer treatments.

Somers gained widespread fame playing the bubbly, naive secretary Chrissy Snow in Three’s Company (1977–1981). She was fired from the show after demanding a salary equal to her male co-star, John Ritter.
She later returned to television, starring in the first-run syndicated sitcom She’s the Sheriff (1987–1989)

Hi. For the last few days I worked pretty hard at emptying boxes and then getting them ready for Monday’s new pickup day for recycle, garbage and gardening. The recycle bin is stuffed. But the carport looks good. I also put the donation boxes together in one area along with furniture items. I was able to be in bed by 3am and awoke to the alarm set by Alexa. I did a couple of loads of laundry and washed down the chairs in the carport along with the table. Had time for a shower and then waited the rest of the morning for the owner to arrive. The hour came and went. No phone call, no nothing. I contacted the office after lunch time only to be told that he had a family emergency. This person, the owner, never called the main office to let them know. So sad. I am about ready to give up. Losing patience. But seeing hubs made up for everything. Wish there was a way to get him home to give me an extra pair of hands. But realistically, without a ramp and a bathroom remodel, it’s not feasible.

Dinner for hubby tonight was less pureed. He was all smiles and enjoyed the fresh string beans. He is gradually learning to eat more like a cat than a dog (LOL),

I am now going to totally relax and work on some jigsaw puzzles in Kindle. Best part, pieces get lost here as well. But, with a push of a button they are found. Too funny. It’s 79 degrees here as I type. The A/C is on, but will probably turn it off before going to bed. Have a great evening. Tomorrow is Thursday. The holiday threw me off also.

Good Evening I hate you being alone all the time. I wish you had a close relative or close
friend who could spend time having lunch and playing games and most of all to give you
that extra hand. 😎 I don’t know how you do it. I know god never gives us more than we
can bare.

I wish I lived closer even a train ride would work. I have to have a cat and poppy. 💕😘

I am watching in my security camara for the cats and so far I have fed three. 💕
The little gray cat came and I was so happy to see him. I miss my cat I lost a few years
ago. My baby slept with me and hubby and Poppy had no problem.

Oz is still a bit warm but we have a couple of more days of summer lol and then Fall. 💕
I will be careful what I wish for because with fall comes rain and cold. I can hear the pipes
now.

I made some homemade stew for hubby all fresh veggies and he loved it. The kids love
Stew and this time of year was always fun for us. I am taking candy to a school the kids
went to just a block away I want to make sure the kids have treats. I am also buying some
much needed gloves the school have a program for kids who need warm gloves and hats.
I have no problem getting some of those. I want brand new so the kids feel special.

I have two nieces who are enjoying AZ they will be there until the weekend. My nieces are
both professionals one is a Teacher with a Master’s and the other niece is a College Professor
and the girls are all young the same age as my kids. One of my daughter wanted to go but
she had a class to get out of the way. The girls travel a lot even Cruises. I have a lot going
on in my family. 💕😎😘

Here is a little tea to enjoy the rest of your evening have fun with the Kindle.
I too am getting things ready to be recycle and the regular trash for tomorrow.

Oz has light rain today but the warm temps will be back this weekend. Warm in these
parts is very different to what we are use to but that’s alright.

Oodie good luck with buying the bedroom furniture I hope everything turns out just
the way you want it. 💕I hope the Social Worker will be able to help you with hubby’s
Hospital Bed.

I am still looking at possible bedroom furniture. Though our master is a good size, I do not want clutter. Today I started going through some empty boxes. I need an area for the donations. Our community does a tag sale every year that goes for two or three days. This sale helps to offset costs to the pool, the office, HOA fees just to name a few. I have a few pieces of furniture as well and also lamps. Basically, due to the mice infestation, I had to discard some brand new furniture and also almost the entire kitchen. I am starting from the groundwork and up. Our master will be the first to undergo a change. It will be our sanctuary until we are able to head north. We will not be leaving anytime soon. I want to see what hubs is able to do before making any decisions. The other reason is that our right hand construction person will be away from October until February. He will be replacing a window and taking a good hard look on our gutters. They seem to be in pretty good shape at the moment. But, I will need his expertise in helping me with a ramp and chair lift. I will also need a hospital bed in that house as well. The most important side to this is that we need to redo the master bath in that house. Thankfully, the master is large enough to accommodate this venture. i will update as things happen.

I did not see hubs today. I will go early tomorrow after the renovator leaves. May make one stop at the Farmer’s Market and then on to the rehab. Hope you three have a pleasant evening and then some. No rain in sight. Temp is in the low 70s. We will be in the mid 60s overnight. I had to water the plants. I will do some more tomorrow. Goodnight.

Good Evening I circled back as I am about to hit the sack soon. Oodie my daughter
was talking to me today and she sent me some pics of furniture for the bedroom
on Amazon. This daughter has a beautiful Apartment and she is looking to save space.

The way her apartment is decorated is just stunning she tells me she gets it from her mom. 💕
True! I taught all four of our children how to shop. Believe me when I say there are tricks to
the trade when it comes to putting a home together. Oodie you seem to have everything.💕

I see what you are trying to make access for your husband. I would take my time on the
furniture take a look at A you never know what you may find. Florida is a large State and I’m
sure there is no shortage of good furniture places. 😎 My daughter is a neat freak everything
has a place. LOL! 💕😎

returns. This is the professor that had a very bad fall at the airport in Greece she never
got to see Greece as she was rushed to the Hospital. I like her zest for life as she has

Good afternoon to you. I was not with mom today, I had a doctor’s appt., hair appt. and had to stop at a friend’s house. Home now and going to start some dinner.🥘

Your neighbor sounds like a real jet-setter. I’m sure she has wonderful stories to tell. Good for her, you only live once. Hubs and I traveled constantly until a few years ago when our knees started aching and covid.😷 And places were much safer.😞

Good Evening OZ is still a bit warm but fall is on the way. 😎💕Well the animals are enjoying
the weather I make sure I put plenty of water out for them.

Lady I have always traveled until like you Covid and in my case Cancer. I swore those are
the words no one wants to hear. I still have a good team and my five years will be up in
December. 😎I can say goodbye to a certain medicine so I have a lot going on in the
next months. We all are going through something. I brought new bras at Dillard’s.
I think they are so pretty and I have a perfect fit. 💕

Metastatic cancer is a stage IV cancer invading all areas of the body. It affects the liver, lungs, brain, lymph nodes, and more. Both men and women are diagnosed each year. Additionally, there are different types of metastatic breast cancer. Sadly metastatic breast cancer is a devastating diagnosis to receive. While many breast cancers can be cured, metastatic breast cancer cannot.

Each year, treatments for all kinds of breast cancer are improving and advancing. Whether a patient chooses a trial or a more standard approach to treatment, a clinical team will provide options. Either way, a support system of family and friends helps to manage the stress and adjustments that come with the diagnosis.

October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month. While the entire month focuses on preventative measures such as mammography, it is important to know research continues for a cure for metastatic breast cancer. Those with metastatic breast cancer require treatment options and an understanding support system.

The day also gives a voice to those who live with metastatic breast cancer. It encourages the world to learn more about the disease, how it progresses, affects the person and those around them. It raises awareness of the need for treatment options, research, and more.

NATIONAL YORKSHIRE PUDDING DAY

National Yorkshire Pudding Day is celebrated on October 13 and honors a traditional English dish brought over by immigrants–Yorkshire pudding! Not to be confused with a dessert, Yorkshire Pudding is a traditional English dish similar to a popover.

Yorkshire is made from a batter and usually served with roast meat and gravy. Cooks in the north of England devised a means of using the fat that dropped into the dripping pans. They created a batter pudding while the meat roasted in the oven. In 1737, one such cook published a recipe for “A Dripping Pudding” in The Whole Duty of a Woman.

In 1747, Hannah Glasse published similar instructions in The Art of Cookery Made Plain and Easy. She named the recipe ‘Yorkshire Pudding.’ Glasse received credit for re-inventing and renaming the original version of ‘A Dripping Pudding.”

These savory popovers open up a world of possibilities when it comes to fillings. While the gravy is traditional, don’t hesitate to add cheese, eggs, your favorite protein, or an herb filling. If you have more of a sweet tooth, straying from the traditional by adding chocolate, caramel, or a cream cheese filling sounds perfect!

I knew you would find it. I have had days where I am multi-tasking and things can go into
what I call a black-hole which means I will find it later. LOL!

I know you can focus on other things you are dealing with. 😎Oz is raining as I type this
post to you. We welcome the rain as we are dry. My Gray Cat came back to me this morning
he was waiting for me as I was walking Poppy. I was so happy to see him and he had a very
good meal. I am sure he is safe and out of the rain. 💕

I have a bit of a busy Monday going on but so far so good.

Hey glad you got some much needed rest. Enjoy the visit with your husband if you are

I was up until the wee hours of this morning getting ready for garbage and recycle. I was able to get everything out before 9 am after getting to bed around 5:30. I did return to bed following the routine. What I was able to do was make another dent in the kitchen. If I had three or four full days to work this would have been done and onto the next room. Sometimes I wish there were more hours in a day. This was one of them. I do enjoy the extra hour and looking forward to the first weekend in November. The hour actually will help more in the am for me. Dawn will start around 6 am instead of 7:15 am. That extra hour will certainly help in the redo process. I am now really looking at a twin bed for me and a new mattress. Not sure if a box spring will be needed. I’m hoping for a platform bed along with two smaller nightstands. Not sure about a new dresser since the one we have is OK. Seems that Wayfair has the best selection and the prices seem reasonable. If assembly is required, then will go whomever Wayfair recommends. Tomorrow I will be working with the social workers on Joel’s hospital bed. Thankfully, we have a rather large master. The bedside tables are nice, but ones that are not as wide may look nicer. The desk I’m using will be demolished and this will enable us to have a reading nook. At least that’s the plan.

Is the gray kitty the one that let’s you touch him/her? I have a feeling they may like your home but are scared of Poppy.

Have a great evening. Enjoy the walk in the moonlight. We are now in our autumn weather. We will be rainless until the spring unless something unforeseen happens. Right now I am taking it easy. I finally found the Amazon tablet and left you a message in yesterday’s thread. I am a happy camper and now can get down to other business.

The temp and humidity levels are awesome. The 80s are 80s and not equivalent to mid or upper 90s. What a difference a few days make. I did not see hubs today. Needed a good nap after all was said and done. I left word with the receptionist and she will pass it on.

Hi to you this Sunday, cool and overcast here but I’m not complaining. For me it is comfortable.

I take the Phyto everyday, also, with my morning coffee. I’ve always had strong nails and I have to cut them every two weeks because they grow so fast.💅 I attribute the growth to the Phytos.

Good evening I love all the products I use by Andrew Lessman. 😎🎈💕 I can’t speak for
everyone but what I buy for hubby and I works. Speaking of nails and hair the product
works on both as well as my skin soft as a baby. 💕

I also use his Marine Collagen Peptides I just add pure water I feel great afterwards.
I keep mine in the fridge. I am loving all my Skinn and Lancome Products I like
walking and working out. I have nearly perfect skin just a bit dry in the winter and I have
the fix for that. 💕

The Game is on and hubby is watching it I am not. I have a long weekend and need to

No, I didn’t find the Kindle Fire Tablet. I rechecked all the places it could be and then some. I even checked hubby’s room. Tried the bedside table, nothing. The closet, nothing. Last night he was freezing and I found his Sherpa blanket ion an upper shelf in his closet and put it on his bed. Not sure if I had the tablet at that time. It could have been on the bed prior to the blanket and I never looked before leaving. I thought it was home. I have a tendency to put it down somewhere if I am adding items to the carrier. As it turned out the carrier I was using seemed heavy and I started taking things out. Not sure if the tablet made it into the bag prior getting into the car. It could not have fallen out since I had a small freezer thing with a chocolate mousse for a snack for hubs. The tablet would have been underneath. I even checked the sweatshirt that was in the bag. Nothing. This morning I again rechecked. I asked the aides at the nurse’s station. Nothing. I will make a call to the first shift in the am. If it was left I usually find it in the room or at the nurse’s station. And the blanket from last night is gone. I surmise it was sent to the laundry. It was clean when I took it out of the closet. If the switchboard was opened 24/7 I would contact the people on the 3rd shift. Yes, I checked the car. Nothing. I did contact Amazon to no avail. Their CS has gone downhill. I will try again later.

Lost no more. Kindle has been found. I went looking for an empty box for clothing I no longer wear or want and there it was in the empty box along with a notebook that I also needed. Unbelievable what one does when in a hurry. Now that’s two found and one more to go. Was also missing my reading glasses. Last time I used them was at the hairdresser’s. I went through my purse and it wasn’t until it fell off the chair in hub’s room that I found them. They were in a soft case rather than the hard one. I do have an extra pair. However, most of the time I can go without those.

Now back to KP and then a shower and leave to see hubs. He will be so happy and I will also bring his Kindle. He has been asking for it at every visit. I found his while looking for mine. It had fallen behind some boxes. One more pair of glasses still hiding. But this one is somewhere in the bedroom. It is probably under the bed with all the ghosts and goblins. Thank goodness for spares when you need themn. Have a great day and then some. Enjoy the long weekend with hubs. Don’t make him work too hard. 😃😃😃

You’re right, that is a huge bottle of oil. I don’t remember one that big. I’m still using one from my last order a good while back. I usually mix it with moisturizer. I did try the lip oil. I think I like that better than balm. It will be great for the cold weather coming.

This is the best Skinn TS I’ve had in a long time. I did get the Lancôme 2025 Holiday Beauty Box with Train Case. I had to get another product I needed. I am just glad I got everything
delivered the same day even when I ordered the Skinn a day later it really worked out.
I am going through the box right now and picking out what each daughter wants. If I like
everything I will order another box that they can share. 💕😎😘The girls take real good
care of their skin that is something I taught them from an early age and being a model
your skin is your living. 😎 I have to say I do take Andrew Lessman’s Phytoceramides.

I love the way you can mix the Skinn Oil and the Lip Oil to make it work for you. Winter is coming and it can be brutal on the skin.
I am taking advantage of the good skincare while they are on sale. 💕😎 I am not done yet. My bathroom looks like a great beauty spa.

I believe this works for your skin from the inside. All the creams and other products just

We must be twins. I’ve been using the Phytoceramides for years and that’s what I ordered yesterday! Good deal for the 360, the last couple bottles I got from HSN were 240. Now tell me what to order so I can have your legs, LOL!
