Good day on the Gulf Coast of Florida. 😎🎈💕I am glad your leg is feeling better.
I hope the rain is a good rain. OZ is raining as I type this post to you. 💕🎈😎

Hubby took the recycle and trash bins out in the thunder and lightning during the rain
and believe me the trucks were very early. Hubby went on to work afterwards. 😎

Oodie I did not post last night as one of our daughters reached out to us to say her
best friend from College had to be air lifted to the Emergency Room after she could
not breathe she had several blood clots. We talked back and forth and she had surgery to
remove the blood clots and now have to be on blood thinners for the rest of her life.
My child called and was very upset her friend live about an hour from her and she and
others drove to the Hospital. I know this friend very well she was with me when we were
in Atlanta in June she is so sweet. Our daughter is tired now and what a night it was.
I am just glad she made it I had a blazing headache after all that but due to sinus.

Then on top of that phone call my brother called to say his son had fell at school the child
is 12 years old and had to go to the ER so he has a brace and crunches and home from
school until Monday. Bro said he is doing homework to make sure he is on top of school.

I have a Necklace very similar to the Breakfast at Heidi’s Necklace with all pieces that
go with it. 💕I was trying to show the necklace when I first posted the images for Heidi Daus
and the Image was not available but I was also watching the live presentation and saw
how beautiful Heidi looked in it. 💕🎈 Heidi is in Spain with her son. 💕

Oodie take care in driving and if you are still feeling a bit under the weather I would stay
home. Let me know how it goes for you.

I stayed home today to relax and pay bills. I was able to do the recycle. I tried the new attachment for the hose. Unfortunately, I was sent two female end caps, however, I did order the 3/4 ones as well. I will keep the other one for the Northeast. Well, I managed to put the hose together and when I turned the spigot on, I found a leak. To change the hose I will need to find the pliers. The person who does our power washing must have used something to tighten one end. I just hope the pliers work. Yes, I have a new attachment that will do the job (I hope)>

I had a phone call from our Health Insurance needing to speak with hubby. Seems like they phoned last month and I mentioned he was in rehab. Looks like I need to repeat myself and maybe that is a good thing. This way I can give them an ear full. It really concerns me that he is on puree foods. Maybe they can help.

I will be doing this and that around the house. Looks like Heidi is off for more inspiration. Sorry to hear about your daughter’s best friend. That surgery could be very painful and blood thinners not so good. She will need to be extremely careful the rest of her life. I hope she has a good physician. And your nephew will be OK. Young kids are so resilient. He will be hopping around and running again in no time. Sorry about your headache. Guess we both know what that is like. I found that taking my sinus pills help and when needed an aspirin. When this occurs, I just wish hubby was home.

Good morning in S. California. 😎🎈Our friend Heidi Daus is in Barcelona, Spain
the same place my next door neighbor went earlier in the month. Spain is just
beautiful and I have the actual pics they took on the beach you can see the Mountains.💕

We had a few emergencies going on and one was my nephew whose mom is battling
the pancreatic cancer and winning he had an accident at school. Let’s just say he is
home for a few days his knee is really banged up.

One of our daughter’s best friend who we know very well was air lifted to the ER
for emergency surgery for removal of blood clots no easy feat. I know her she
even helped when we were in Atlanta in June visiting family. This poor girl has to
be on blood thinners the rest of her life.

I am going to wish you happy trails and please be safe. 😎

Sheba, Maybe Heidi and I will cross paths. I have a feeling she was on a plane I was on in Germany several years ago. Spain sounds like a great destination.
Sorry about your nephews accident and your daughters best friend with clots.
Blood clots in some one so young is so unexpected. Does she have a desk job? Hopefully the medical staff will guide her on avoiding them in the future. Things are happening to the younger people like never before. Hope it changes.
We had another very hot and humid day. Our air conditioning has been on straight for what seems like months. Glad we have solar as it really helps with the costs.

Good day in the ‘burgh. 😎💕🎈What a night I had I mean it was one thing after another.
I had a headache to begin with from my sinus and a lot was going on all night.

One of our daughter’s best friends from College who lives an hour away was air lifted
to the Hospital for some blood clots and they had to do surgery STAT to remove them
the poor girl will be on blood thinners the rest of her life.

My nephew had an accident at school and had to go to the ER he is fine now.
This is my brother’s son whose mom had the cancer. I was just keeping everyone
calm while trying to deal with a headache.

Oz finally had some great rain thank you lord. 💕😘💕

Anyway things are back to normal in my corner of the world. 😎The rain did a world of good.

I am looking forward to the new restaurant let me tell ya reservations are hard to come
by. Hubby may have Steak but I want something else. I am going because it looks very
nice and elegant and the food looks good. 💕😎

Wow, what a day you had yesterday. Did you happen to read your horoscope in the morning to prepare you for all this? I hope they are both doing better today.🙏 Your brother and SIL need a break and the friend sounds too young for all this but thank goodness she made it to the ER. My day was easy compared to all that.

Yesterday I opened the new computer box, took everything out, opened the lid, looked it over and said I’m done!! Ended up not being in the mood to start.😕 Right now, I have both laptops running side by side and doing a little here and there.

Can’t wait to hear your review on the restaurant. I usually try to order something I don’t cook at home. I’m sure the steaks will be wonderful.🥩

Lady my daughter’s friend is young and still stay at home with her mom and I am thankful
for that. I have to say she does have real health problems but it never stopped her from
living her life. My daughter said that Air Lift will cost a fortune I am pretty sure they have
it covered that is the least of their worries the family have to deal with a new way of life
on blood thinners.

Oz had some sweet rain I am a happy camper. 😎So are the animals.

The leg pain was arthritis and the telltale sign that we would have rain. The pill worked and I fell asleep. That had to be around 9.pm I actually had a good night’s sleep. I did not see hubs today.
I was all set to go and darkness came at the same time that I wanted to leave. We had a huge downpour and then the lightning and thunder hit. It lasted over an hour and by that time it was too late. More expected tomorrow through the weekend. However our temps will hit the 90s and then the downward slide to the mid 80s. I am hoping for the cooler temps and low humidity.

I contacted the remodelers last week following the appointment with the electrician. I am hoping they may be able to extend the shower into the hallway closet. The contractor stated that the limited space would require a shower curtain. I questioned this because I have seen showrooms where space is limited, but still has a glass door. or just a glass window. They will contact me when they can return to redo the measurements. No contact, I have someone else
in mind.

By the way, the “Breakfast With Heidi” did not sell out. After seeing both images I tried to purchase a second necklace and it seemed there were a few left. I immediately sent an inquiry to CS and explained the situation. If you still love that necklace, purchase before it really sells out. There are still quite a bit of wonky on their website. Images are still missing and one needs to have patience until the item is presented.

Sheba, ha wished that was how my luggage all looked. I’m sure your luggage and clothes are stunning. We do carry on only and honing and prepping is a lot for me. I’m almost done. Basically we pack for 1 – 1/2 weeks and do laundry there. Wherever there may be. That’s how we learned about the lack of dryers as a norm in many places. They all have places to hang laundry which is great.
Today I had some labs and then drove in the others direction to attempt a Covid vax. It was mission successful but once I got home read the information and realized the guidelines for the vax changed. oh, well…. they didnt’ show me that beforehand. lol. All good though.

Robert Redford has passed great actor and may he rest in peace. 💕My mom is sad
and we did not know he was older than her. I think my favorite movie was The Way
We Were he played Hubble. 💕

Couldn’t get my act together until later in the afternoon. Made a stop at Costco for gas. On route the sky was loaded with cumulus clouds that looked like pile on marshmallows. These clouds were massive. Also there was a shelf in tan color which I surmise was from the sand off the African coast. This is one of the many reasons we have seen no hurricanes. However, things are starting to heat up and as you know I am watching the tropics.

After making my car happy and driving away from Costco, noticed a gorgeous rainbow. Not as vivid as the one from Aldi’s, but pretty just the same. We had no rain, so that beauty must have come from the moisture within the clouds. Hmm…..I wonder if this means no hurricanes in our future. Wishful thinking on my part.

The temp today was in the low 90s. Humid, but not as bas as June through August. Fall is in the air here and I hope the cooler temps will begin to emerge. We have been told that we will have a cold winter. I say bring it on. Wouldn’t it be nice to see snow in Florida….😃😃😃😃

I don’t recall if I told you the story of our blizzard on the Cape. If not, or just in case I didn’t, here goes. We had a huge snowstorm a few years ago. I think they said it was over 20″ of white with drifts. It didn’t look bad from the windows overlooking the front yard. However, in those days we were driving a cargo van, white in color. For some reason we also had my vehicle. Hubby had parked the van across the street and my car was in the driveway. We opened the garage door and it didn’t look bad. My car seemed to be OK. The hood of the car was seen and so I thought I would just brush the snow off the backside. Well, as I approached the driver’s side door I hit an area of over waist deep snow. No way was I able to get the snow off. The van was lost in the sea of snow. Hubby tried to walk out, but the snow was too deep. When the snowplows came we had to go out to explain where the van was. They were extremely careful and were able to remove the snow surrounding it. This storm came just before we left for Florida.

Hope your day goes well. Enjoy the sunshine and your walk with Poppy. Yeh, I fell asleep. Went to take something for leg pain and fell asleep in bed. I am about to return to that comfort.

Oodie, thanks for your Cape post. It sounds so nice, especially having bike path access.
Going to the beach here has the same parking issues. Makes it not so fun to deal with but most times it works out. Best with your remodel project too.

I have seen the decor online and the food too looks pretty good. I will not go there every

work and think and I am fine with that. 😎I will be dressed to the NINES! LOL! This is my
team in my region so I am also going to support them because they do a lot for the Region.

I am on Cat Patrol and we had some light rain with more light rain tomorrow. 💕

I really think you and your family would enjoy the Cape. Our home is just off the bike path with conservation land. The Cape is notorious for keeping areas for the many animals that frequent the area. However, I forgot to mention that the bike path leads to some lakes in the area. So if you like to make a stop, definitely bring bathing attire.

What I actually enjoy is taking the car and seeing the various towns. Plenty of free parking, so you can venture on and off the roads. My favorite area is Chatham. Beautiful scenery, friendly people and many stores to browse in and around. Loads of mom and pop stores. Artists abound. Sandwich is another delight. I’m sure you have heard of Sandwich glass. The factory is here and so is the museum. Maybe someday you will add this area to your travels.

I couldn’t believe my eyes. The Breakfast with Heidi sold out????? They are showing two of these necklaces. The first one is still active and you can purchase. The other says “sold out.” However, I went to the one above and put it into my basket and then went on to the order area. You can still purchase the necklace. It’s crazy. Whomever is doing tech support needs to make a correction.

Hi. I finally saw hubs today. Dinner was pureed of course, but more food on his plate. I hope I will be able to see him every day. This coughing spell is sinus related. However, the new covid starts with a raspy voice and then leads into coughing. I know the nurses would think I was coming down with something and would ask me to go home. Today, my first normal day in weeks and that is probably due to the fact that I wasn’t outside. Tomorrow, definitely will be going to Costco.
Water is the primary reason. The drinking water in our town is filled with all kinds of chemicals from factories, pesticides, etc.. Besides, I do not care for the taste.

We have not seen our favorite aide in months. Not sure at this point if he is still employed with the rehab. No one seems to have answers. He was the best worker and loved to joke with hubs.

Sheba, Nice pallet. The one I purchased was the Romance name – day and evening colors. They seem so pretty. Not sure they are the colors the woman from my make up class would pick for me but I know they can work :).
While in the store I also saw a Dolce & Gabbana Fefe perfume. Yes, for dogs. You may not be surprised but I was and took a picture to send out. It was an adorable display. Maybe a little something for Poppy for Christmas. LOL.

You would really enjoy Cape Cod. Rte. 6A goes through the back roads of the Cape. Much to see and do. The end result would be Provincetown. Our home on Cape is just off the bike path. I sometimes use it to walk to have my hair done, and stop at Marshall’s. I also used it from time to time to go to the Recycle area. No, not garbage or whatever. This was actually a place that in the winter is used by the Highway Department for sanding the streets. From April to the middle of October it was used for donations. Everything was free and consisted of clothing, books, CDs, vinyl records, small furniture and appliances, dishes and glassware, toys, stereos, etc.. Items were donated and the public would arrive to grab anything. Everything was free. Even art work and framed watercolors and oils. Hubby and I volunteered our services and it was one of our many highlights. The sight is no longer being used however, Brewster has one and I think Yarmouth as well. The bike path goes for miles and miles and is one of the free trails that many tourists use. The scenery is magnificent and there are many stops for relaxation and just for browsing.

We used to enjoy going to the beaches. However, with parking at a minimum and going from 9am-7pm, it leaves little time for the beach. We are not sticker prone. Both of us think the price of a sticker so you can park near the beach is ridiculous. It is even more discerning if you are vacationing for a few days or more. I surmise that the hotels have a pass or something that one can use.

Microsoft has been showing bits and pieces of Cape Cod in their news area. I enjoy the drive along Rte. 28, especially when we are close to the National Seashore. There you are, high above the sand and the Atlantic looking down. We had friends in Wellfleet and would join them on weekends. There is an outdoor movie theater that is still used today. However, the four of us liked this area for the huge flea market during the day and then picking up our lobster dinner for our evening meal.

Best part of the Cape is not getting lost. Most roads either lead you to Rte. 6A or to Rte. 28, the two main roads on the Cape. Yes, there is bus service and also a ferry from Boston Harbor to Provincetown and a Railroad that used to go just to Bourne, but may go further. The Cape also has an airport in Barnstable. During the summer Jet Blue goes from NY to the Cape. There are others that fly out of Boston. The airport also has car rentals. You can also fly into Rhode Island and rent a vehicle. The Cape is only an hour and a half away, though Rhode Island has some pretty good spots as well.

Good day to you. I also like Kathy Bates but I don’t watch Matlock. I remember the first time I noticed her was in the movie Misery. That was a little crazy.😮 I know I’m getting old because half of the people nominated I never heard of or maybe I just don’t watch enough TV shows.

Here’s one for the record books. I wanted to start cleaning the carport this morning. The hose was connected to the spigot. However, I have a small hose attached to a hose that is in a container. Little did I know that one end is a male and the other end female. It took me hours to figure that one out and went on line to see who had what I needed. Finally found it on Amazon and it will be here tomorrow. What I needed was one end which is a male and is attached to the spigot. However, the other end is female and does not fit the extension. I ordered a male to male and it should suit the purpose. This is one time having hubby home would have saved the wear and tear. Looks like Tuesday will be the beginnings of the carport. Cannot wait to see how the new rug looks.

I had a real bad coughing fit this afternoon and will not be seeing hubby. This is sinus related, but the nurses will probably say it’s the beginning of Covid. Rather than take their rage, I will stay home and get some more things done. I contacted reception and I will try again tomorrow. However, Costco has a great price on gas and will probably make a stop on the way to rehab. I enjoy their shrimp salads. At the moment I have a yen for lobster. On the way to the Cape there is a market that we usually make a stop. It’s called Market Basket and their homemade food items are wonderful. However, their fish area is all freshly caught and the taste is as sweet as honey. They usually have a sale on lobsters and they do steam them at no extra cost. Also fresh cranberries are now in season. There are a couple of cranberry bogs on route that you can see from the Cape Highway. We always purchase these fresh. Only the package ones in Florida. Not the same.

The one thing I dread on Cape is the ride over the bridges. Doesn’t matter which one you take. They both have traffic up to the “yin yang.” This is the main reason why we take our time and never go on a weekend. We do the same when leaving. The Cape Road from the bridges is Rte. 6. It is only two lanes on either side. Thus the traffic jam. It is a scenic road and I venture to guess that they cannot make it wider due to conservation land. After our exit for the Cape House the lanes become single on both sides. If you leave on a Friday, no problem. If you leave between Saturday and Monday, backups for over 30 miles. There is no Aldi’s on Cape. No Costco, though there is a Bjs. Each town is like a small village with souvenir shops and other retail stores. Some are very interesting and they are not tourist traps. Iwill definitely miss the Christmas Tree Shops when we return. This is where they started. First store was in Yarmouth and they gradually grew to Sandwich, Hyannis, Dennis, Orleans (I’m missing a couple). The owners used to frequent the gift shops and would take pictures of items and then make a trip to China to have the same items manufactured at a low cost to their customers. You can just imagine the fights that used to ensue. Great memories.
