Conversation – 31

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread.
This is number 31 out of the of the series.
I created and started this thread over 11 years. 😎🎈
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

Thanks for the info on the water. Funny, that was the water at the front door. I just grabbed it and took it to the bedroom. It helped. That was something xango had mentioned and at the time you could only purchase it at Sam’s Club and the supermarkets. Then out of the blue, Costco made it one of their picks. I am all set.
By the way, I didn’t realize you were officially a New Englander. I have a home in Ct. and Warwick was one place we drove to for shopping at the Christmas Tree Shops and other stores along the Rte. 2 corridor. Rte. 5 was also a favorite. Our first time at the Ocean State Job Lot was on Rte. 5 along with one of our favorite Asian restaurants. The one thing I really miss (outside of a lobster) is the Rhode Island clear clam chowder and also the Rhode Island Red. The beaches were OK, but we found the ocean full of pebbles and rocks. Consequently we had to purchase rubber thongs to wear in the water. We stopped counting the number of scratches and bruises at the bottom of our feet. Our favorite beach became Dennisport. Nice sandy beaches and clear ocean. It only took us an hour and a half from Providence.
Again, thank you for the info and giving me a nostalgia trip. I forgot to mention that I enjoyed reading about your trip to PA.. There is a lot to see and do. We more or less take some of the back roads when either heading North or South to avoid the I-95 corridor. I think you would also enjoy New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine. Very scenic and the mountains are really beautiful in the fall. So many places to visit. You just do not know where to begin.

I never made it to the Farmer’s Market, but will definitely go either Monday or Tuesday. Instead I went to see hubby and brought two popsicles with me; He was in his wheelchair when I arrived. Dinner came a bit late (after 6pm) and after seeing the amount of food on his plate asked if it was possible for him to have seconds. He was so hungry that his hands were shaking. That tells me that he was low in protein. He does have a slight cough which I attribute to taking too big of a bite because he is so famished. I told him to slow down and guess what, no coughing. On Monday he has an appointment for a fitting on his eyeglasses. Me also. I will be with him through lunch and dinner. He was all smiles when I mentioned this.
I was never one who could take the heat. I remember when I was a young kid (that was yesterday ), and at an overnight camp for 8 weeks. During that time, it was a daily routine to salute the flag as it was being hoisted. Then we sang “God Bless America” and a few others. I also remember standing for the long period and passing out. Of course I ended up in the infirmary and my parents were called. This happened every summer. However, this time I was in the shade of the carport and sitting in a chair and still got that feeling. No water near me, but
recalled I had put a couple of bottles inside by the front door. That water came in handy as I
entered the house. However, a few months ago, hubby was outside. How long he had been there was anyone’s guess. Luckily when our favorite aid came on duty, he checked every room. When he didn’t see hubby in his room, he went looking. Found him outside with his head down and cold to the touch. He told me that as he was wheeling hubby to his room he called for the RN. Hubby didn’t make it to his room. His temp was over 100 and it was decided that he would need a cool shower to get his temp down. So instead of the room, he went directly to the shower. He came to in the shower. While in the shower, another aid and someone from housekeeping decided to redo the bedding and the mattress. I arrived shortly thereafter. Normally, I would have received a phone call, but the favorite aid knew I would be there shortly. This is why I check with the receptionist everyday to make sure he is OK.. I guess Thursday was my turn. Thankfully, I am OK today.Starting tomorrow we will have rain the next four or five days. Most of it will be intermittent. We are again watching the tropics. There is a storm in the Atlantic that could become something, though most of the weather people think he just may fizzle. Time will tell.
Like, you, I do not enjoy a meal when it is overly hot and muggy. I usually prepare a salad either at breakfast or lunchtime. Watermelon is OK, but if it’s too sweet, my body won’t tolerate it. Salads include either salmon or tuna. Sometimes cold salmon from the night prior. So far I have been enjoying the salads from Culver’s as well as from the Farmer’s Market.
Have a great Sunday. Stay safe.

Good Evening just relax OZ is warm and I am going for a nice long Perlier Shower. 💕
Hubby made a salad and I had a slice of watermelon that is all I can eat.
We have family who are from here but live in Atlanta and we saw them when we
were there. We will have brunch with them before they leave to go back. They
are here for a quick visit with other family members. Seems they had no problem
with their flight. I am glad about that. 😎
Sweet Dreams. 😎💕😘

I love Rhode Island small but beautiful place. I have a doctor friend who went to school
there and did his practice there. 😎I am going to jump in the shower and take a Perlier Shower. I want to hear the rain in

Good Evening I am sorry you had a episode. I do not like it. Keep that water with you.
I hope hubby is fine for those two days. I feel no patient should be alone with proper
supervision from the medical staff.I hope you can get him something cool and easy to drink. The both of you. We should have rain
in the morning and everything is ready for it. 😎 Oodie you know hubs like it hot. LOL! 💕
Relax tonight and don’t do too much. I do hope you were able to visit him today.
