I stayed home today to do a bit of a catchup. It has been difficult with working just an hour or two, going food shopping and seeing hubby. When I return home I am usually completely exhausted and though I plan to do a few things, it never happens. Yesterday was extremely difficult. Having dinner with hubby is difficult when he sees my salad and the limited meal on his plate that is pureed. You and I know that he can munch on solid food, but try as I mite, it is impossible to bring that across to the Speech Therapists. Hubby is constantly hungry. Begging for a cookie or anything. The aids on the weekends either do not listen or just stay away and say they have nothing for a snack. It is horrid the way the patients are treated and this includes the ones under hospice care as well. Our bathroom needs a remodel and I will be calling again tomorrow to schedule the decorator. There are samples to look at. However, the new office seems to have none. I have been in touch with another outfit closer to our home that seems to have more things together. They are budget friendly and I am tempted to go with them. Their decorator has samples, but they also go with you to the various stores to make comparisons of color, flooring, etc.. This is what I need to pull everything together. This is not only a handicapped accessible room, but also one that guests would use when visiting. I think I have been more than patient and will give this one more try. Also, the ramp. I definitely turned down a wooden one. I was afraid of splinters. The weather in Florida is constantly changing and mold was also an issue. Another possibility was using trex. Looks nice, feels great. But very expensive. :Lastly, aluminum. A person on another street had one installed. It is beautiful and affordable. Since it is in an enclosed area, it will have none of the other issues just mentioned. My only concern is if it may be too lightweight and will blow away. I will be checking some of the stores around to see if it is feasible and of course durable. The one thing I need to say is that I am doing my homework. And for getting hubby out and about for shopping and doing things he totally enjoys may not be as difficult a situation as I am making it out to be. There are handicapped vans I can rent for a day or there are busses for the handicapped that can drop[ him off at a designated spot and return later to bring him home. These services I am definitely looking into. Very exciting to see that some of my concerns are being answered.

Hope everyone is OK. Hoping y our sister in Colorado is listening to her physician and your sister in law in Georgia is also doing OK. I suspect that the chemo may be a safety measure to ensure that the cancer does not return. It could be more of a preventive measure similar to what Princess Kate experienced.
