I agree with you on the food. But there is another side to this that I have been reluctant to share. Hubby has had a hard time getting food down the esophagus. I have been going through this since our marriage. First it was apples. He would go outside to cough it up and then some. The problem is that he takes too big of a bite. Sometimes I think he feels he is a dog. The outcome is mucus and there are times when I think it has reached the lungs. He has had at least two episodes where he has been sent to the hospital. Thankfully, he has come out of it OK.. The last time was just after Thanksgiving when I made a small turkey. I pureed the dark meat, but not the light one which was mine. He finished his without a problem. I was just putting my leftovers away when he grabbed it and ate what I had left. The coughing and upchuck lasted for hours before he was sent to the ER., That day I was with him until 5am when he was sent to ICU. At 9am, the hospital phoned to say he was being moved to a regular room. I saw him the next day. The next few days he was on puree foods. The speech therapist at the hospital put him back on regular foods within a week. Returning to the Rehab three weeks later, he was again on puree foods. I contacted the speech therapist at the hospital. There was nothing they could do since he was with the Rehab. Yes, he can eat regular foods. He still coughs but it sounds more like a sinus thing. The Speech Therapist says not. The reality is no soups from the Market even though it is just soup and no veggies. I cannot puree. However, what I may do is bring something with me and bring it to the kitchen and let them do their thing. The head nurse here has said that is not possible. But, if you saw his plate, then you would know why I am livid.

I am now getting ready for a shower and will be leaving within an hour to see hubby. The hot weather and air quality is getting to me. The heat index today puts our temp at 104. Not sure if we will have rain. The salmon was delicious. I finished it this morning and still licking my lips. This is something my hubby would definitely enjoy. Before I could also bring soft foods. Now all he has to eat is puree. Poor guy is sick of puree. I did notice some peas on his plate a few days ago. Maybe they are starting to see if he can tolerate some solids. I am not holding my breath.

I enjoyed watching Heidi and like you, I wish she was on more. I have a habit of going into the next day’s items after midnight. I was appalled to see that most of Heidi’s items were without images. I notified CS on line and Community, but by the time CS noticed, everything was normal. I think Heidi returns next month. I will miss Lynn hosting when she returns.

It’s been a really tough week with the loss of so many beloved legends. Connie Francis, Chuck Mangione, Ozzy Osbourne, Hulk Hogan, and Malcolm-Jamal Warner each brought something unforgettable into the world. Their voices, their music, their strength, and their presence left lasting marks on generations. Losing them all so close together feels deeply heavy, like the world got a little quieter. It’s hard to put into words the weight of these losses, but may they all rest peacefully above the clouds. Their light, their art, and their spirit will live on forever in the hearts they touched. ❤️🕊️

I had to shut down last night because of the storm and my system is right by the window.
I don’t mind the thunder it’s the lightning that gets me.

Heidi Daus did a good show yesterday. I have never use my Iphone to watch anything.
I can access Facebook but I don’t use it. This is the only type of social media I am on.

Taci my niece had her baby yesterday she had to be induced into labor and it was no
easy feat. I have had to have that done once and I have given birth and raised four children
with hubby. I have to say that was the most painful birth I have ever had.

All is well in the family so we have another Leo. 💕😎😘🎈

Oz had thunderstorms last night and early morning. 🎈😎

foods your husband can eat when you visit. I don’t like the part where you cannot visit
him again if you do. I am calling this crappola. This is not cool. Oodie your husband
is in Rehab not Prison. I would get him out of there so fast…

I am holding my contempt at what they are doing.

So cute about the baby gecko. 😎All the cats made it in the rain last night and this
morning. I felt so bad for them and none will come in the house.
