Conversation – 31

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread.
This is number 31 out of the of the series.
I created and started this thread over 11 years. 😎🎈
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

She walked on that stage like it was the moment she’d been preparing for her whole life—and maybe it was. Nicole Scherzinger didn’t just sing at the 2025 Tony Awards, she *soared*. Moments after delivering a spine-tingling rendition of “As If We Never Said Goodbye” that brought the entire Radio City Music Hall to its feet, she held a Tony in her hands, eyes filled with tears, heart full.
It wasn’t just a win—it was a homecoming. After decades of being underestimated, over-scrutinized, and often boxed in as just a pop star, Scherzinger finally had the Broadway stage to show the world everything she’d kept tucked inside. As Norma Desmond in *Sunset Blvd.*, she wasn’t playing a fading star; she was rewriting her own story.
Her speech was raw and real. She thanked God, paid tribute to her mother who raised her at 18, and looked straight at her fiancé Thom Evans as she said, “You believe in me when I forget to believe in myself.” That kind of love? That kind of honesty? It doesn’t need a spotlight—it creates one.
Then she turned to the dreamers, the outsiders, the ones still waiting for their moment. “Don’t give up,” she said. “Keep giving, because the world needs your love and light more than ever.” That wasn’t just a line—it was a lifeline to anyone watching who’s ever felt overlooked.
Scherzinger’s journey from pop charts to standing ovations wasn’t a pivot—it was a breakthrough. Years of waiting, working, and wondering all led to this night, this stage, this trophy. And now, no one will ever wonder again what she’s capable of. She didn’t just come home—she brought the house down. -

Sly & The Family Stone Lyrics
“Family Affair”It’s a family affair
It’s a family affair
It’s a family affair
It’s a family affairOne child grows up to be
Somebody that just loves to learn
And another child grows up to be
Somebody you’d just love to burnMom loves the both of them
You see, it’s in the blood
Both kids are good to mom
Blood’s thicker than the mudIt’s a family affair
(It’s a family affair)
It’s a family affair
(It’s a family affair)
Over there, over thereNewlywed a year ago
But you’re still checking each other out, hey
Nobody wants to blow
Nobody wants to be left out, uh-huhYou can’t leave ’cause your heart is there
But, sure, you can’t stay ’cause you been somewhere else
You can’t cry ’cause you’ll look broke down
But you’re cryin’ anyway ’cause you’re all broke downIt’s a family affair
(It’s a family affair)
It’s a family affair
(It’s a family affair)
Oh, hey, a family affair
(It’s a family affair)
Ow
(It’s a family affair)(It’s a family affair)
Oh
(It’s a family affair)
(It’s a family affair)
It’s a family affair
(It’s a family affair)
Well
Do-do-do-do
Hey-hey-hey
(It’s a family affair)
(It’s a family affair) -
