Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately, hubby spends most of the time in his room. He rarely eats in the dining room due to the nursing home atmosphere. I do not think that the rehab facility has the inspiration or attitude to mix some patients together. I had a long and useful chat last night as I entered the reception area with one of the Speech Therapist’s. She was very helpful and gave me a huge update on the puree foods. Seems there are issues with a certain type of bean which leads to his coughing. I mentioned if it could be an allergic reaction and she said it wasn’t that type of cough. I knew what she meant and I have seen and heard it countless of times. I also mentioned that he has a habit of taking too big of a bite. I do try to be at the rehab for some of the meals, but lately it is almost impossible. Most of the roommates have been very helpful. this last one I was concerned. Have no idea where he is and at this point I just care to see my husband being OK. I’m just glad he is not in hubby’s room.

Hi and good evening. I spent part of the day cleaning the washing machine and used a cleaner strictly for this purpose. For two days I have been trying to find the package that was left outside. So had to reorder and it was delivered today. Another thing I did today was contact the people who mow the lawns in our community. I have potting soil sitting in the carport that I have problems with lifting. Consequently, he will be here tomorrow to give me a hand. Also will help with the weeding in the front. I find being outside for any length of time is not a good idea. I can only do so much. Took me a long time to come to this decision. He will be here between 8am and 8:30am tomorrow. Consequently, I did not visit hubby this evening. I will shower and leave as soon as everything is in it’s place. Hope to be with him almost the entire day.

Our weather, beginning tomorrow will be similar to yours and those in the Northeast. Temps will be in the mid 90s with high humidity. Our humidity keeps the air away. Breathing can become difficult. I remember a close friend making a remark that he would never be here during the summer. I could not figure out why. Guess I’ve been told. Going from car to store can be difficult. It’s almost like having two left feet that cannot move in any direction. That should be the worse of my worries.(LOL) 😎🌴🧊🕶🍧
