Conversation – 31

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread.
This is number 31 out of the of the series.
I created and started this thread over 11 years. 😎🎈
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

Sheba, I guess you’ll have to stick to ice cream, and cold drinks. That UV is strong. On vac I was wearing my hat and sunglasses in the car.
Betty Crocker…. yah, I wish. On that note, my Lidia Kitchen Pasta Pot arrived today. I feel so grown up now. I have always used a mid size sauce pan (that my Mother gave me when she didn’t need it anymore).
Maybe I’ll try her one pot cookbook next.
Hubs helped me a little today with my volunteer project. It’s a lot. I’m tired and not done.

I was up at 5am in order to accomplish a few things before the men arrived. The garbage and recycle were out the door and done. Of course, due to the high humidity, by back gave me a few problems. Luckily my neighbor was doing the same and helped bring everything to the curb. The sun at 6am was strong. If I wanted to weed the garden it would be a definite NO since the area does not get that much shade.
We have had one storm after another all day. Thankfully, no wind. I will not complain. We need every one of those droplets. The guys never showed. No phone call. No message. However, I did take a good look at the planting and it will be doable for me. I have the perfect chair to sit in and there will be no heavy lifting. The Trolley will definitely come in handy. I will only be loading the soil about half way in the planters. It will be easy to move to the location and then I can fill the rest of the way. The plants are healthy and I think they will love their new home. If the guys show up Friday, then they will do the work.
I did not see hubby today. I called ahead to see how things were at the Rehab. So happened the real dark clouds were rolling in. The receptionist said it was like nighttime. She mentioned that her phone gave some warnings to be away from the windows. On that note I decided to wait it out. Though the rehab is only 5 miles from door to door, the sun was shining during that call. However, 15 minutes later, those storm clouds started coming our way. I called to give the receptionist an update and decided home was the best place to be.
Though our temps were in the high 80s and low 90s, the humidity was the worse part. Air quality was only in the 20% range. Another good reason to stay put. Tomorrow the same. I will do what I can and then leave to see hubby. I am hoping for an early afternoon arrival. As far as dinner is concerned, I will probably end up at Culver’s. They have wonderful salads and hubby loves their custard with hot fudge. It’s great when you can stay in the car and give an order. at one window and then wait for the delivery to your auto. I used to love their cranberry and bacon salad. However, for whatever the reason, the cranberries became raisins. Raisins I have since learned are sulfites. Live and learn. So now I order the Garden Fresco Salad which is just as good. Love their honey mustard seasoning.
I hope you will have a nice Friday. Would be nice if you could relax and just do whatever. Hi to Poppy and to all your kitties. Have a wonderful day.

June 21 – Hello, Summer!
The summer solstice is almost here – the longest day and shortest night of the year!
On June 21, the Northern Hemisphere tilts closest to the Sun, marking the official start of astronomical summer. What does that mean for you? More daylight, later sunsets, and a chance to celebrate the season in all its brilliance. Across cultures and continents, people have honored this turning point for thousands of years – with bonfires, dances, and skywatching.
And there’s more going on than just sunshine. This is also the shortest night of the year – a perfect time to grab a telescope or your favorite stargazing app and check out what’s visible after sunset. The stars, planets, and maybe even a meteor or two are waiting.
Soak it up. Make it count. Summer is almost here. 😎🎈 -

Sheba, there’s a bush right outside my back door that bees love. They seem to stay for a while and then leave each year. I found out they were back when I tries to water it. Oops. Won’t try that again for a while.
