Still hot, a couple storms but our power is still on so the house is cool.🤞 This has been a long week already. I am ready for “normal” weather, whatever that is these days.

Michael died at his home in England on 25th Dec 2016 aged 53.

I added a post to last night.

I am doing a happy dance for your sister and that your niece is now safely in Colorado. Nothing like sitting on a tarmac for three hours and waiting for takeoff. Have a wonderful and safe day.

We will get some rain in a few hours. I need to do the planting that should have been accomplished weeks ago. Not to worry. I will not be doing any heavy lifting. Hubby was good. His short term memory, not so good. Seeing me pop in. A smile from ear to ear. Having ice cream from home, even better.

It is around noon on Wednesday and before I go out to do some planting, I wanted to share something with you. Last night I must have fallen asleep while on the computer. It was around midnight when I awakened. The last time I had looked at the clock was around 10pm. Returning home after visiting hubby, I noticed that some of the plants were turned upside down from the wind and rain storm we had earlier. I ventured out to water and to put them upright. However, I had a cute little visitor. On my outdoor chair there was the cutest owlet. I spoke to him/her for a few minutes. The head turned. It wasn’t frightened by me. Very cute. So, a little more wildlife and something that I wouldn’t normally see in my backyard anywhere.

When I returned to the computer, I did some checking. I found some info which was rather interesting. Owls, it seems, do not build nests in trees. Rather, they lay their eggs underground.
The owlets are born with a tooth which they use to peck their way out of the egg. The parents do not feed them. When they hatch, by instinct, they feed upon bugs, small reptiles and mice and other things. They stay in the nest for about three weeks, but not more than six weeks. They leave the nest completely on their own. These birds are self sufficient. So, I just let this one be. There is plenty of food around my carport. Bugs, geckoes, small rodents, etc.. I would guess that this owlet had just come out of his nest and found food nearby and was just resting without a care in the world. So cute with his brown and white fluffy feathers. .

I have talked to my sister today and she is fine. The surgery took longer because
they saw extra things they had to take out. No more pain for her. 💕

My niece made it there safely and mother and daughter are together now.
Hey she did not bring her dog this time. This niece took her dog all the way to
New York City and then to Central Park West. LOL! I have the pics I could not
believe it. No way would Poppy sit still on a flight to New York City. LOL!

Sis is doing well and will leave the hospital tomorrow. 😎💕My niece and her are together

I have been on the phone with my sister and she is doing fine. My niece landed safely
