NATIONAL TELL A STORY DAY

National Tell a Story Day on April 27th each year in the United States encourages people of all ages to share stories. The stories can take many forms, too. You can read from a book or create one from your imagination. Stories recreated from childhood memory leave an indelible imprint on both the storyteller and the listener. No matter what story you tell, the day supports gathering with friends and family to share those stories.

NATIONAL GUMMI BEAR DAY

Gummi bears are a sweet treat that brings joy to people of all ages. On April 27, let’s celebrate National Gummi Bear Day and the memorable treat of childhood that’s timelessly fun.

NATIONAL DEVIL DOG DAY

On April 27th, enjoy a treat in the name of National Devil Dog Day! The day honors the service members dubbed with the nickname and the devilish snack cake.

NATIONAL BABE RUTH DAY

On April 27, baseball fans worldwide honor one of baseball’s all-time greatest players on National Babe Ruth Day.

NATIONAL PET PARENTS DAY

On the last Sunday in April, National Pet Parents Day recognizes the pet parents who go the extra mile to care for their fur babies.

There is a very special connection, a unique bond, between a pet and its owner. This unique relationship, which can often last for many years, is often a vital part of the ‘pet parents’ life. Their loved pets are considered to be a member of the family.

Some pet parents are new to the experience. Others are repeat performers. No matter how many pets or how often they engage in the relationship, it’s a special one every time.

The observance was created to honor all dedicated pet parents across the nation with a special day of their own.

Had a great visit with hubby. He enjoyed a half of an egg salad sandwich wrap and some Breton veggie chips. I also brought sliced cantaloupe which he enjoyed as I was getting ready to return home. Why his food is still pureed is beyond my comprehension. The food I mentioned was not pureed, rather whole, though on the soft side. He was able to chew and swallow without a problem. I need to remember to bring a toothbrush and toothpaste with me tomorrow. His teeth need a good cleaning. I am surprised that no one follows up on this. Yes, I have mentioned it. Numerous times. Oh, how happy I will be when he is home.

I decided to make a stop at the Farmer’s Market. Tomatoes are on sale this week for $.99/lb. A nice sale this week. Looks like I will need to make another trip before the ad ends. Luckily they are only a couple of miles from home.

No rain in sight. 80s during the day and lovely 60s at night. Humidity is up there , 80-95%. You would think with the high humidity, some rain would fall. Nothing. And to think we are just weeks away from hurricane season. YIKES!!!!

Hi in chilly Oz, we are the same. Went from windows open and ceiling fans on to the furnace running today. It will be in the 40s tomorrow morning when hubs goes golfing.🥶 It has been a crazy Spring so far.
