I hope you are having a nice time in Atlanta. The sun has finally peeked through here but it is cool, about 60 degrees. Mom and sis at the pool opening party today.🏊‍♀️ Had dinner with them yesterday and going to a friend’s house tomorrow.🍔🌭 Staying home and taking it easy on Monday.📖🍹

Hi. Sorry about your loss just prior to the weekend. I guess we are both dealing with things. Suffice to say that hubby can only eat pureed foods. That is the rule of the speech therapist. The Social Worker has no authority. Though I have left several messages during the week for the speech therapist, he has not returned my calls. When hubby eats in the dining room he sees the food others have which also include fresh fruits that are sliced in bite size pieces, but none for him. He is tired of puddings, applesauce, etc.. Consequently he is very depressed. So on Wednesday I had a yen for a pizza. I ordered an Hawaiian pizza. Hubby took one slice and ate it slowly and enjoyed every morsel. Yesterday I was told I could not bring him any food and if I brought something for myself, I had to find a place to eat it. If I bring him anything, even ice cream, I will no longer be permitted to see him. And, as far as bringing him home, that is no longer possible. The head nurse and I had a disagreement right in front of hubby. At least, now, he knows what I have been up against. Suffice to say that during hubby’s stay I have done my homework. There are ways and means to get him in and out of bed. There are ways to get him to the shower and to a toilet. The head nurse said he will never be able to stand on one leg or to put pressure on the bad one. Funny, the orthopedists said with proper therapy anything is possible. I still feel he will do better at home with proper care. When I am used to the new way of doing things and the doctors give the OK, only then will we travel North. But for now, I cannot do anything. I am now trying to determine what I can do and at this point it is time for an attorney.

Good day on the Gulf Coast of Florida. All is well here. My brother and SIL are driving
around and doing some shopping. I am telling you she looks great. 🌹🌹😎

Often times family just need support and it is good to see our three daughters too.

Oodie thank you for all your support over the years and that goes to all the girls
on this Thread who have supported me during trying times. ✨I have to say there
have been a lot of them.

I am sure you have a story to tell after your visit with the new head. I am sorry your
hubby could not eat goodies you brought him. Shizzle always something.
