NATIONAL PIGS-IN-A-BLANKET DAY

On April 24, observe National Pigs-in-a-Blanket Day with just a few ingredients.

Celebrated across the world, the term often refers to a variety of different dishes. In the United States, Pigs-in-a-Blanket is often hot dogs or sausages wrapped in biscuit or croissant dough and baked. Pigs-in-a-Blanket are generally served as an appetizer or as breakfast. However, it can be served at any mealtime!

NATIONAL BUCKET LIST DAY

April 24 celebrates National Bucket List Day to remind us it’s never too late to set new goals, go on a dream vacation, and inspire people around you to enjoy life to the fullest.

NATIONAL NECK CARE DAY

April 24 is National Neck Care Day, so there’s no better time to discuss the importance of caring for your neck as part of your daily skincare routine! Our goal is to empower people with all skin types to stop neglecting the neck and decolletage area and prevent common signs of aging that can appear.

NATIONAL TAKE OUR DAUGHTERS AND SONS TO WORK DAY

Each year on the fourth Thursday in April, National Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day encourages parents to take their children to work.

Just made it home after being with hubby. The roommate last night was horrible. Today I contacted Social Services within the Rehab and let them know what was going on. I asked that the roommate be sent to another room or to another facility. Tonight hubby admitted to me that he is afraid of this guy and I let the staff know. The night supervisor was present and I reiterated the message. This is the first time hubby has ever felt non secure in any way or fashion. This has never happened in all our married years. There are no other patients in this rehab that act this way or ever acted this way in the years hubby has been a patient. His first roommate was a person who was released from prison after spending most of his life in a cell for murder. He turned out to be the kindest person and very helpful. He left after someone befriended him an apartment nearby. There were others who came and went home and others who have passed on. All were wonderful until now. So that is the update and there will be more to come in the next 24 hours.

Nice that you were able to enjoy the long weekend with your son. Surprises are always good and so much fun. I’m sure Poppy had the best time ever. Also good that you and your son were able to visit your dad. I am sure he was there with you both. This week is particularly hard on you and it really never ends. Just gets a bit easier to bear. Take care of yourself, that is the most important.

Doing a little of this and that today also. Ran to Hallmark to load up on some cards for the next couple months. Got me some small soaps and mom a wristlet since she doesn’t carry purses much anymore.🧼👛 Birds Eye is helping me make a quick dinner.
