NATIONAL CHEDDAR DAY

National Cheddar Day adds some cheesy goodness on February 13th!

Grilled cheese would be buttered bread without melt-able slices piled high; burgers would be lackluster without a perfect ooze; mac & cheese would just be…mac, to be frank. So many of our iconic American dishes simply wouldn’t be the same without a slice of cheddar’s deliciousness.

GALENTINE’S DAY

On February 13th, Galentine’s Day brings women together to celebrate each other every year the day before Valentine’s day.

Women all have that one friend who cheers on her female companions. She is their best supporter, listener, and companion. No matter what, she has your back. She’s the lady who celebrates ladies. This day is the kind of day a woman like that would throw a party, and she should.

The festivities include women of all walks of life, kicking back, and enjoying being women! The day celebrates successes and overcoming failures and brings women, ladies, and girls together for a good old-fashioned session to drink, eat, talk, and celebrate each other.

NATIONAL TORTELLINI DAY

Pasta lovers will enjoy a traditional stuffed pasta during National Tortellini Day on February 13th!

I am feeling a bit better. I have an allergy to sulfites. It started when I had breast surgery and the nurses couldn’t wake me. At the time I thought it was lack of sleep. Six weeks later we were in So. Korea. The trip was long and though we both were tired, hunger got the best of us. We decided to take a walk and about a mile from the hotel we found a restaurant. Had a great dinner and then trudged back to the hotel. Both of us fell sound asleep. I awoke a few hours later and looked in the mirror. Both sides of my mouth were swollen. I thought it was from a bug bite. Thank goodness I had packed Benadryl along with my other allergy pills. It took over 24 hours for the swelling to leave. That was the beginning. It took years to put two and two together. Thank goodness an allergist posted on line about sulfites. He had a list of foods and some ingredients that contained sulfites. Seemed most of his list matched mine. Unfortunately, raisins were not on it. As of yesterday, it is on top. No swelling this time. Just nauseous. Sometimes it takes three or more days for everything to subside. Pepto was my best friend until late this afternoon. I am feeling much better and cannot wait to see hubby. To think I ordered my favorite salad from Culvers.

Good Evening what a day this has been. My SIL is alright after Chemo. Everyone is just
about drained. Our prayers are being answered as the oncologist said today the tumor
has shrunk and they can operate in a couple of weeks. I am praying things work out.

Glad to hear your husband is doing alright. OZ is 14 degrees as I type this note to you.
We will be -7 in the morning. I made sure the cats were all fed and I mean they ate and took
off to warmer spots. 😎

Please keep warm and hoping you don’t get a cold. Keep the heat on.
So far so good we still have power.

Good Evening no worries about the bet. I think if it was like that I might have went for it.
Our local media was playing a promo for betting it’s been on all month. This is real money
and you have to do it online. I don’t mind a friendly wager.

Taci what’s up with the heat? I do that with my husband I always turn it down. I like
a cool not cold bedroom I sleep better. 😎 I don’t want a bad cold but I want to be
comfortable. 💕I would snuggle a bit I bet that will heat things up with a good movie
or book. 💕😎

We have friends in Hawaii and that is on the list. 😎💕All I want is the Ocean and Food.
If you watch the media this has been the Winter from all out. I think every State has had
a problem in some form. Taci I heard about the Navy Plane going down in SD. I am glad
the pilots escaped and no injuries to anyone. What is up with all these plane crashes?

Good evening I had a feeling something was going on. I always get this feeling.
Glad you went home I hate those lights. I hope you feel better soon.
I hope you do get an epi pen and soon.

Oodie neighbor went on vacation in Key West a couple weeks ago and once home came
down with Bronchitis. Hey this is Flu season and TB here in OZ. I know she is down for the
count. I am so glad she has plenty of friends and we take turns checking on her. This girl
is very independent and she has a cabin in the Ozarks and drives there all the time.
Oodie she is from the North. We enjoy each other’s company. 😎
