Conversation 28
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 28 out of the
series. I created and started this thread going on 11 years. 😎🎈
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

FESTIVUS
Each year on December 23rd, Festivus commemorates a holiday episode of the television comedy, Seinfeld. In 1997, the popular television comedy brought Festivus to the masses when Frank Costanza (played by Jerry Stiller) explains he invented the holiday in response to the commercialism of Christmas. Its slogan is “A Festivus for the rest of us.”
-
NATIONAL PFEFFERNUSSE DAY
December 23rd is reserved for National Pfeffernuse Day, a German spice cookie. Very popular around the holidays, pfeffernüsse are fluffy cookies made with ground nuts and spices and covered in powdered sugar.
-
NATIONAL ROOTS DAY
National Roots Day on December 23rd encourages families to delve into their family history, heritage, and ancestry.

That sleigh reminds me of my last sleigh ride in the Catskills. At the time my husband along with two other couples were making arrangements for our State’s Lions Summer Convention. for the following year. The weekend was free since we would have at least 150+ Lions members attending. The three men in this group were District Governors. We were wined and dined that entire weekend beginning Friday afternoon. There was snow on the ground and what better way to celebrate two birthdays. Yes, one of the wives celebrated a birthday the same day as me. The Pines put everything together which included sandwiches, hot chocolate and other munchies on the sleigh. It was a wonderful day and oh so very cold. The sleigh was covered in hay and there were blankets to cover all of us. Loads of fun and so many smiles and laughter.
I did not see hubby today. Instead I was moving things around for the delivery tomorrow of the new microwave. I still have tons of things to go through and decided to box what I won’t get to to alleviate the counter of items to go through and wash. I will have one or two empty drawers when things are all said and done and more cabinet space. I will wash the floor in the am. . Once they leave I will stop for gas and visit hubby. Last year the Rehab had a huge lunch for the patients and their family. Have not heard anything about this year. Nor has anyone asked hubby to play the piano. Of course the help for the most part are new. But I would have thought they would do something. Quite a few patients have no family in the area or friends. I try to say Hi to everyone I see and carry on a conversation. The nurses and aides are their family.
I forgot that tonight are the Kennedy Center Awards. I will check to see the last minute and what I miss can be seen on You Tube.
Not sure if TS is engaged.
