Sheba, Glad your sisters enjoyed their visit. Do you still have one in AZ?
Well today was exhausting thanks to my husbands gift. He bought me a planter so that meant I had to buy plants for it which then lead me to a project I’ve been wanting to do for a while, which was to replace the 3 planters at the front of the house. The plants in front weren’t growing as I wanted and it was time to spruce it up. I just hope the new plants don’t die off anytime soon. It looks good! I am tired and pooped out for the night. Next I need to add some type of plant to the small balcony area. Maybe I will wait for Spring. 🙂
Sure hope those cats are warm and in hiding somewhere safe.
I know they are so fortunate to have you looking after them.
Watched some of Heidi Daus today, and will try to catch the upcoming shows.

Yes, I watched two hours of Heidi. And yes, I gave in. Purchased the red shoe pin. in some ways it reminded me of the red slipper worn by Judy Garland in “Wizard of Oz.” Also, the Fu Dog pin. And, yes, I remember when your husband surprised you with the Heidi Daus Serpentina Suite.

I could have sworn that she was going to be on 4 hours today and tomorrow. Maybe it was wishful thinking on my part. ❤🌈

Good evening. I am home today. Having a bit of a problem with my legs. I will be phoning the physician on Monday. This has never been a problem. No, I did not fall. It may be due to the cold snap and also that the rehab has the A/C on. I dressed in lots of layers yesterday and even took a Sherpa blanket out of the car. There was no chair in the room, so used the wheelchair. My walking made hubby very nervous. Here is something scary. The blinds were opened and the room faces a main street. Happened to be looking out and saw two cars passing (one in front of the other) and shooting each other. Not a good thing.

Hubby is doing great. Still trying to reach both the Social Worker and the Speech Therapist. Hubby was able to eat normally during his two week stay in the hospital. Back at rehab he is still on pureed foods. As far as I can tell, the speech therapist will not be taking him off any time soon. The Social Worker needs to meet with me so I can actually start redoing the interior of our home and also getting the necessary bed for hubby, new flooring installed and a complete renovation of a bathroom. Also a ramp. Seems these two are always in a meeting. There is a RN helping.

I didn’t mind driving in a blizzard and going up a steep hill. I found that easy. Driving on ice scares me. The only advice I can give you is to drive slow. If you need to brake for any reason, just touch lightly, stop, tap again and do the same until the car can actually stop without a skid.
Be sure you have a shovel and sand in the trunk of your vehicle just in case. I also used to keep blankets and food in the car just in case. Also an extra pair of socks and gloves. I always did this just in case I got stuck. Of course this was in the day where there were no cellphones. Another thing is to be sure your vehicles have a full tank of gas before the inclement weather strikes.

Sorry to hear about this last episode not going well with your SIL.. This is a natural process from what I’ve heard. She will start feeling better just before the next dosage. The best advice is to find a movie that is funny and also has the ability to take her mind off the situation. A call into her physician may also give her husband and your kids some ideas to make her feel a bit better. I think you went through this as well. It’s torture, but if it leads to some good news, then it is worth it. The larger smiles will begin.

For the kitties. If you have an old quilt, you may try making the quilt into a tent with something on the floor as well. Just do not face it towards the wind or storm. If they look kind of wet, you may try a towel on the one that is friendly. With the others looking on, they may come to you for the same thing. They trust you for food. May be worth a try.

Stay warm. I hope you do not lose electricity. I surmise both of you will be staying up through the night just to check on the pipes. When this happened to us we used to chop some ice/snow and throw it into the freezer and the frig to keep the food OK..There were also times we would put our things into the cooler outside. This is when a generator comes in handy.

Hi in Oz, windy and snowy in the ‘burgh.🥶❄ Hubs had to shovel this morning and it is now covered again. Most of the state is in a winter weather advisory, more to come Sunday into Monday.

Mom and sis leave in ten days for their Hawaii cruise.🛳 They will be ready to get the heck out of here.

Finished taking down Christmas decorations today🎄, planning on staying in the rest of the weekend. Niece is home, no more games since they lost last night.

Hang in there through the ice and snow, I’ll do the same. Keeping fingers crossed for both of us with the electricity.🤞 Sending new year hugs to you and Poppy.🤗💖

I have not turned the telly on today. Hubby and I did watch a bit last night and it was
heartbreaking.

My SIL is having a rough time right now I am trying to keep everyone calm. My concern
are my niece and nephew. All hands are on deck for this one.

How is your mom and sister? I bet they are planning their next trip. Go girls. 😎🎈

Good day in warm Florida you are having a heat wave compared to OZ. 🎈💕😎😘
We will be in the deep freeze starting now and well into next week. What concerns me
is the loss of power some will have. We are expecting Ice and that is a big no in these
parts. The ice gets on the power lines and they snap hence no power.

We are all hoping for snow because it is easier to deal with. We are protecting the pipes.

My biggest concern are the animals I have done everything in my power to help them.
I will keep my eye on them. 😎
