Good evening and condolences for the loss of your two friends. I know this happens
in life.

Oz is cold and we are dealing because others have it a lot worse.

Good evening I am so glad you are safe my niece have called all her friends in the affected
areas. I posted before I talked to her she surprised everyone yesterday.

What we are seeing is insane and pure Hades! Mother Nature can be fierce. All that
beautiful area homes and schools just gone.

Taci my neighbor and his girlfriend from SD just got back but they spent time with family
in the affected areas and he is not speaking today very upset and I think his family may
have been affected I am not going to ask too many questions.

We are 10 degrees as I type this post and will be -7 in the morning. I will take the snow
any day.

I am a Twilight Zone Girl I never saw any of the shows until I was an adult my father was
strict we could only watch anything Disney, The Wizard of Oz and Wild Kingdom. Oh but
when I discovered what was out there I went for it. I like older movies because my
grandmother would always have them on and I could do what I want at her house.
Granny’s house was in Tenn. I was free as a bird. I had all my cousins and aunts and uncles
nearby I miss those days. I think working with many famous singers and actors did something
to me I just hope I got enough of their pixie dust on me. 😎💕

I named my dog Sheba because I saw a movie called Come Back Little Sheba. 💕💕😎
Funny thing they never showed Sheba so when I got the right dog I name her Sheba
and I lost her in 2011 hence my name.

I still want to be a commentator on TCM. 😎😘💕

Oodie, Happy to hear your legs are back to normal.
Hope you get some down days and can go to the beach or something just to zone out a bit.

Thanks for your post. We are safe here in SD. Fires are a few hours North. Sadly they are not contained.
Hubs said it’s been windy out, and it is dry here.

Shoelady, Sorry about how your new year started. Condolences on the two people who passed.
Your sister is North of where I live. Is she on a cruise with your Mom or about to be?
The good news is I haven’t heard of any fires in OC area at this time. Let’s hope it stays that way.
The news is awful and there is zero containment.

Sheba, These devastating fires shine a light on CA’s continual mismanagement. The fire in Pacific Pallisades and Malibu are in Coastal LA. They say no containment. James Wood, the Actor, spoke about his experience. The Getty Museum was well prepared. The smoke causes a lot of damage as well. There are also 2 other fires, with one near Pasadena. I have been listening to the news today. It sounds like you have as well.
Fortunately, we do not have fires here. I think all of the region from Malibu to Coastal South are on alerts.

Hubs watched the old episode of Outer limits that the movie I Robot was based on yesterday. I watch too. It was fun to watch.

My legs are fine today. As of right now I can walk, jump, leap and do whatever as if nothing happened. I think the doctor was in the ballpark as the saying goes. It had to be the weather and the barometer. I also just checked on line and there is no recycling or garbage pickup tomorrow. Banks are also closed.

I will not be seeing hubby today. I am waiting for a phone call for an appointment at our bank. Nothing serious. Just something that cannot be dealt with over the phone. And when you do call, though the phone number is for the location near you, the person who answers could be anywhere in the USA.. Nothing is easy these days. Even with a computer.

I am hoping your SIL will be OK. Thankfully, your daughters are there to help with the children and your brother. The trip to CA and pics will sure help to get her mind off things, even for a few minutes. Those fires are devastating.

It is still cold in our parts. We will see some 70 degree weather for a little while on Friday. Then there will be another cold snap, but not as bad as what we had this week. Temps will be in the 60s until the next episode. Maybe the cool down will help keep those hurricanes away in a few months.

Good afternoon, still cold here and still snow showers.🥶❄ The snow is not melting since it is still in the teens and twenties. Hubs did the driveway about four times this week so far.

Not a good week or how I wanted to start the new year. Two different friends of ours had brothers die, one last Saturday and the other this past Monday.😥 This weekend will be spent at two funeral homes.

Getting ready to bake some shrimp for dinner.🍤 I hope you feel better from last night. I am still praying very hard for your SIL.🙏 Someone has to hear these prayers. Fireside hugs to you, Poppy and all the outside critters.🤗💖

I have seen some of the fire footage on Cable News and it is devastating. So much
is being destroyed. I called my niece and thank goodness she is in GA helping the
family with our own crisis.

Taci let me know if this is affecting you in some way.

When it rains it pours. OZ is still frozen and the kids have not been in school since
Christmas break. Wow!

I think it’s the weather which is affecting people in many different ways. Sheesh!
