Hello Sheba 🌹 beautiful roses, yellow roses was my mom’s favorite.
Two movies I don’t miss every time it’s on TV, To Sir With Love and Guess Who’s Coming to Diner.
Looks like we are getting some cold weather in the coming days. Hubby said it was chilly today, as he got the mail. Tonight it’s getting into the high 30’s. But in just a few days we will bounce back to the 70’s during the day.
Hopefully the Nation will be warming up soon.

Brrr, did you wake up with icicles hanging from your earlobes and thought they were a new pair of earrings?🧊🥶🧊 We are only a few degrees warmer than you. Tired of seeing white outside of every window.

This virus or flu or whatever we have is getting tiresome – one day better, next day not. I am better than hubs but still coughing, especially at night.🤧 If he isn’t better by the weekend he’ll call the doc. Haven’t been up to see mom and sis, don’t want them to get sick. Sis’s birthday is Sunday but may have to wait until next week to celebrate before she goes home.

My SIL is doing alright they are going to do surgery if all her test come back alright.
The surgery will not happen until March we are almost going into March anyway.

this post to you. We do have the Sun so it’s not so bad. I just want to see the animals. 💕

I left the house when it was cloudy and arrived to a deluge at the rehab. We finally had a good rain storm. Our plants will be happy. However, tomorrow a different story. The temps during the day will be in the low 60s and night time highs the low forties. This cold front will be here for e a few days. Warming trend next week. For now, anyone wishing to walk on the beach are warned to stay home. We have red tide that has affected not only the water but the beaches. People are asking the Governor to make this a State of Emergency. Seems this red tide is carrying certain bacteria that is not good for people with asthma or other allergies. The stench is terrible for anyone living near the beaches.

Tonight I ordered out to our favorite Italian restaurant. I ordered Calamari and a meatball grinder. The Calamari was a bit overdone and not an easy chew. The grinder, as always, delicious. I gave hubby more than half and he was able to enjoy it. He is asking for another one for tomorrow. I also noticed that he was able to use his hands more. I now wonder if he has a vitamin deficiency. His fingers are very thin from losing muscle. At least he was able to eat the meatballs without a problem. More of a meat line is on it’s way.

Back to kitchen chores. I hope your kitties show up soon. I[m sure they will be looking for seconds if at all possible.

Good evening everything turned out perfect today. 😎🎈💕 Everything was shut down
but we managed to take care of business.

A couple of cats came to eat the rest are keeping warm and I am watching. 😎
If we can make it pass the next two days I will be so happy for the animals.

Glad hubby had a good meal. I love Grinders and they are hard to find.

WE will be below 0 in about an hour I know spring is around the corner. 😎💕
I am not complaining about Winter itself but look at all the States that are having
a harder time than Kansas. I don’t know between Planes falling, fires, floods good grief.

I am so sorry to hear about the red bacteria I would be so scared of that. Is there any
good news out there? I am asking for a friend. LOL!

Oodie, sorry to hear hubs glasses have gone missing. Not sure how his eyes are but maybe pick up a bunch of readers from the $1.25 store and leave in the room. They might not be perfect but are replaceable. Hope you feel better!

Thanks for the note on my hubby’s eyeglasses. He is using the magnifiers but cannot read with them. Says everything is blurred. I contacted the social worker and left a voice mail. He has not replied. This was two days ago. Thursday I will be contacting the Administrator. This is the second pair of glasses that have been lost. I believe one of the aides took the glasses for the frames. But, that will be hard to prove. There is also a blanket missing which was for my use since the rehab uses A/C 24/7. Hubby’s room gets extremely cold. The vent is between the two beds (in the ceiling). No way to shut it. The last time I saw it it was in a plastic bag for washing. I will mention that as well. The former Unit Manager/RN used to find all the lost items in no time. This group could care less. I will keep everyone posted.

Good Evening I did find some great deals but the 10% off were for clearance that I had
in my favorite list. I have lost a lot of weight and I am trying to get things that fit.

I will donate what I don’t need in my closets. I like giving to women who are getting jobs
and need help with a wardrobe and my clothes are not cheap. My three daughters said
during the summer they will come home and help me declutter a lot of stuff. LOL!

We are trying to help my brother and his wife with this cancer and keep things normal.

Taci I took a minute for myself and I brought some Skinn Products last month and I love it.
I decided to go there with my makeup and it was stunning I forgot how much I love
makeup. I think a dab of lipstick and some mascara can go a long way. 💕

I know in a couple of months hubby and I will be at the Market buying fresh flowers to
plant the cats love it. 😘💕

I am feeling OK. The sulfite allergy reaction is now gone. We had garbage this morning and I was able to discard the eggs and then some.

No glasses found and no result from the voice mail I left with the social worker. This really concerns me. To lose two pair of prescription eye glasses is uncalled for. The unit manager was “johnny on the spot.” One phone call and within a few days everything was found. This group leaves a lot to be desired. I cannot wait to get hubby home. Meanwhile I am now looking for a contractor for the bathroom. Once that room is done and there is a ramp, then hubby can return here. The rest of the work will follow once he is home.

The noodle board is pretty. One side is a tray and the other a cutting board with juice/’gravy cut out on all sides. What I didn’t realize until I put it on the counter is that it is a perfect match to not only our oven but to the countertops as well. It is a beautiful piece of wood. So pretty, in fact, that I probably will never use the cutting side. It took weeks to finally find the one I liked and then seeing the customer reviews made it even nicer. I had checked TEMU and though they had the boards, I just didn’t trust them enough to purchase. I know xango uses that website often, but for the most part, the prices were very close to the websites I use.

I was surprised yesterday when I entered hubby’s room that his roommate was no longer there. I surmise that the TV had something to do with it. Hubby was watching the 50th Anniversary of SNL and was immersed in the show when the roommate around 8:30 pm asked for him to turn it off . I said that he was enthralled and I would have the nurses or aides turn it off when they were getting hubby ready for bed. This was the first time since the roommate was here that the TV was on and hubby was able to watch. Normally it is off all day and night and the remote is with the other person. I find that his mind is better when he is able to listen . Oh well, enough said.

I started a new book and I think you may like it also. I am reading, “Being Henry, ” by Henry Winkler. It is a fast and easy read and if you ever watched “Happy Days,” then this may be something you would enjoy. I read one or two sentences to hubby last night and he almost fell off the bed laughing. It had to do with the “Mary Tyler” Show and his first walk-on for TV. It was also the first few days he was living in CA..

Ok. Now our weather. It is partly cloudy or partly sunny. It depends on how you look at things. The temp is 75 though it is cold in our home and the A/C is off. It will be in the 60s tonight. I assume we are getting another cool/cold wave tomorrow. Some rain is expected, but not enough for the plants.

I know you have snow and maybe some ice underneath the other layers. I would sit by the fire and read. Or better yet, a nice cup of hot chocolate and humming a tune or two. Hope your hubby is home. I’m sure the snow is now over Poppy’s head. You may need to go out and make a path for his tree. Remember to bundle up. I know you and Shoelady are done with winter. I really miss it. Snowballs, snowmen, making angels, sledding, skiing, bundling up–all are missed.

I do hope they find your husband’s glasses. Oodie we will be -25 in the morning and I
have an appointment I do have some Iris Apfel Jackets that are super warm I will decide
in the morning what to do.

Everything is shut down again No school are open and those who have virtual learning
will do so tomorrow and those who don’t I hope they do something. I grew up in Illinois
known as the Hawk and we had bad days. Daddy made us study no slacking in our house.

I am getting things ready for tomorrow still watching my security camera for the animals.
Hubby went out and put some dry food out just in case. I know by the weekend we will
have some normal temps like around 40 degrees that is tropical in these parts. 😎💕

I am so glad the Noodle Board is working for you and yeah you can place it on a counter
top I love mine. Rest well Oodie. 💕

Sun was out so I had to do a quick hike.
HSN keeps giving me error messages and I just can’t keep clearing out the cookies they send me relentlessly. Basically, I get an error if I try to shop from my computer. Probably not good for their business. But if I really want something I can use my phone.

At least the sun was out today.🌞 Haven’t seen much of that. We had ice under the snow on the driveway but all is clear now thanks to my husband. High tomorrow is 18.

Still sneezing, wheezing and coughing.🤧 Between the two of us I had to get more medicine. My friend said it took her two months to get rid of the cough. That should take me right into spring and allergy season. How lovely.

The day was very cloudy today. And it finally rained, nothing big. Just enough to water the grass and plants but not a big soaker.

Good evening and I understand it is affecting my family too. I have a high ranking relative
and I cannot name the Agency but he may be affected as well as four other family members.

Prayers are being said and moving forward. 😘💕

I am so glad you had some much needed rain no matter how small. We have five inches
coming at us on Tuesday and will be in the below 0 most of the week. My concern are
my pipes and the animals. I have been running in all night trying to feed them all they
are hungry and I stocked up on food for them. I think these poor animals know I am their
person I think they spotted me out looking at the moon and they have been coming ever
since. 💕I keep my porch light on so they know how to find me.

I am sorry if this is what I think it is. I will leave it at that.

While at the Farmer’s Market a few days ago I picked up a small container of their homemade egg salad and ham salad. I emptied a small portion of both into a thermos plastic container with a cover and put it into the freezer bag along with a salad for me and dressing. Used three small flat freezer paks and went to Rehab. Hubby was in bed and his dinner tray was on the way. He took one look at his dinner and frowned. I then told him I brought a surprise but he had to eat his own meal first. After finishing his food he started looking around for more. I then pulled the container out and gave it to him. His eyes popped. I also brought homemade chocolate chip cookies from the market. He ate every morsel. I will bring more tomorrow. Need to find our slow cooker. I went searching and it’s not in the house. We do have a shed. That’s the next step. If it is there, getting to it may be difficult. Our shed is like Magoo’s closet. It’s amazing that I haven’t added to that clutter and do not intend to.

When I left hubby was watching the 50th anniversary of SNL. His roommate wanted the TV off. But this was the first time hubby was able to watch TV since the new roommate arrived two weeks ago. I mentioned to the aide to discreetly turn the TV off if possible and explained that hubby was watching a favorite program. Hubby was all smiles tonight. Something I hadn’t seen in weeks.

Hope you two have a great evening. Temp here as I type is 66 degrees. We had little to no rain today so I will try to water the plants tomorrow. We will have a cool evening with temps 55 or lower. I am actually enjoying the cooler temps. It is a huge relief from fighting the 9i0+ degrees and the humidity which was 100+percent.

but like I always say I worry about the animals. I make sure I feed them real good.

The hike was crowded, but fun.
Stopped by a drug store and bought a heavily discounted box of candy for hubs and son. It’s in the shape of a heart. I told hubs 1 chocolate per day. That was funny right?

Good afternoon on a cold, snowy day.❄ Yesterday morning it snowed about two inches, then the temps rose so by late afternoon it started to melt. All was gone this morning and now it’s like a blizzard in the ‘burgh. Very windy, all is covered again and temps dropping and staying low the whole week. Mother Nature is testing me.😫

Whatever me and hubs have is still lingering. One day better, one day not.🤧 I at least try to rest, hubs goes crazy sitting in the house all day so he takes twice as long to get better. The outside weather isn’t helping with snow shoveling and the cold.

Nice to have a Sunday with no football worries, lol! Any hints on what Travis may do?🙄

Good evening OZ is frozen and i am all wrapped up keeping warm. I have been going
in and out of the house all evening. I had to make sure the cats were fed. 💕

I am so glad we have a good security camera and I can see them coming and I grab
the food waiting for them.

Lady Travis and Taylor are on Kansas soil right now. Travis is taking his time to think of all
his options. I think he will play another season because he has a year to go on his contract.
I hope he stays all they had was one bad game because the other team was better. I know
they will not make that mistake again. This is Chiefs Kingdom! 💕🎈😎
