Conversation 25
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 25 out of the
series. I created and started this thread 10 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

NATIONAL KOI DAY
Today is July 7 and National Koi Day on the National Day Calendar and we are honoring the Koi fish today! Join us as we learn about the colorful Koi fish and celebrate the life of Hanako, the world’s oldest Koi fish.
National Koi Day celebrates the Japanese Koi fish and brings attention to the exotic beauty of the fish. As a symbol of courage, patience, perseverance, and strength, the Koi fish has been celebrated in the Japanese culture for centuries.
The word “koi” comes from nishiki-goi, which means colored carp. Some say the translation also means “love.” Either way, the Koi fish is a variety of Amur carp specifically bred for water gardens. Historically, records indicate breeding began in Niiggata, Japan, around the 19th century. Today, identification of the Koi fish depends on the hues and patterns of the color of the fish. The most common colors of the Koi fish are white, red, orange, yellow, blue, and black.

NATIONAL DAY OF ROCK ‘N’ ROLL
July 7 is National Day of Rock ‘n’ Roll on the National Day Calendar and it’s time to put on your dancing shoes to dance the day away! On National Day of Rock ‘n’ Roll we plan to help you get your groove, starting with when rock ‘n’ roll first hit the charts.
This history of rock ‘n’ roll begins in the late 1930s from African-American music containing combinations of jazz, rhythm and blues, gospel, and country music. By the 1940s, instruments like the saxophone and piano were added to the sound, intensifying the appeal. It wasn’t until the 1950s that rock ‘n’ roll hit the mainstream music scene, causing a social shift in society. National Day of Rock ‘n’ Roll explores the impact this music genre has had throughout history.

Hi, how are you and your husband doing?
Thanks for all the suggestions. Many of the items you listed hubby uses, he is diabetic, type two.
As for me, I don’t care for almond milk, or baked goods with almond flour. It’s dry and to crumbling. Also almond flour has lots of fat. Hubby makes his cookies with almond flour, chickpea flour etc. Lately he has tried making bagels with cottage cheese. A recipe he saw on YouTube.
I am eating fats in moderation, cutting my fat intake by 15 percent daily. And staying away from things that is packaged and processed. But I still make my bread. I think it’s better than store bread that has a ton of chemicals and preservatives.
I generally eat lots of vegetables and fruits. No juice, no sodas, no alcohol and don’t smoke.
But lately I have the cravings for beef, when I generally eat mostly chicken and some seafood.
Take care Oodiebom. -
I think you know that everyone on this thread feels for you and stands right by your side. We all have issues and your thread has lifted us up when it was needed. The music has helped and in some ways an inspiration. I wish your mom only the best and pray for her good health. It isn’t easy to lose someone at such a young age. I am positive that his mom is saying “if only.” I am happy you were able to be in Colorado. You were needed. And, you are an inspiration to us all. May you continue to be in good health and to enjoy each day more and more.
