NATIONAL RASPBERRY DAY

June 8 is National Raspberry Day on the National Day Calendar to celebrate the summertime fruit known as the raspberry. This delicious food holiday adds a sweet addition to our menu and taste buds.

Raspberries are one of the most popular berries available for consumption. Their rich beautiful color entice us indulge in them whenever we can. The first bite always delivers a sweet, juicy flavor that encourages us to keep eating them. National Raspberry Day is the perfect day to not only enjoy raspberries, but also learn a few facts and a few new ways to eat them, too.

Red raspberries are native to North America and Asia Minor. Records indicate the people of Troy were gathering them around the time of Christ. Roman Agriculturist Palladius documented the domestication of the red raspberry around the 4th century. Because of this record, Romans are given credit for the spread of cultivation across Europe. However, when settlers came to America, they would learn Native Americans were cultivating and eating raspberries, too. As a nomadic culture, Native American’s had been drying berries, including raspberries, to preserve the food source for the winter months.

NATIONAL FREEZER POP DAY

In the heat of summer, National Freezer Pop Day brings the sweet chill of relief! On July 8th, grab one of America’s favorite ways to cool off with a frozen sweet treat.

Freezer pops have a long history – one that’s over 60 years old. And that history includes kids and summer fun. What’s better than getting outdoors and spending time with friends and family? Well, perhaps cooling off with a freezer full of freezer pops in every flavor of the rainbow.

National Chocolate with Almonds Day on July 8th each year offers a combo deal to celebrate. What a great way to wrap up chocolate and almonds in one package. Celebrate it by giving some to a friend or neighbor.

What a feeling that will be. I know your husband face will have a wide smile.

Hubby and I will look out for the Deer and they are traveling in family style. I have lived
here for decades and never seen a herd of them I am sure they are family. I just don’t want
a car or fast moving truck hit them and keep going. I would have to leave the water on the
sidewalk only the other critters will try to get anything I leave for them. My cat the Black Cat
was so happy to see me return when I call out to him he came right away and ate really good.
I still have three more and they all showed up.😎

Poppy was the happiest of all so happy he will not leave me. I love it. We have been together
a long time I rescues him about 12 years ago. No regrets. 💕😎

I hope your rain is gentle and not much thunder and noise.

Poppy is so happy to have me home he is just staring at me and will not leave my side. 😘
Poppy and the other animals were never alone and got feed on time.

Seems you have your little zoo going on. LOL! I love it. 😎🎈

The only thing I worry about the Deer is there is traffic and I would hate to see anyone get
hurt including the deer. We will focus the security camera to watch during the night maybe
they got lost. Hey it seems like all the animals come to me for food and water. I do what I can.
I hate to see them suffer in this heat.

Good evening I love to hear about the animals. 😎🎈My labs are all routine and have been
planned for six months. I get labs twice a year this is for the medicine I am on.

The nurse will put a butterfly needle in my vein and will draw labs like I am a vampire. 😎
Then I just use a cup for the fluids and they check everything. The total time spent in
the lab is about 20 minutes tops. I like that when I see my doctors the story is right there
on her desk and I have been with my Physician for 20 years and we have been through
a lot she knows my body and all that goes with it like the back of her hand. I really like her.

Keep those strawberries for the bunnies my bunnies are in my neighbors yard and I go visit
them when I see them. Meanwhile back at the ranch those dog gone Raccoon are another
story we don’t where they are coming from and it is a herd of them.
